We signed with Simple Flooring in February of this year, and I wish that I could give this company…read more5 stars, but, unfortunately, my experience with them only continued to go downhill. I'll start by saying that the quote we recieved was reasonable, and the women in the office (Michelle & Sandra) were very helpful and quick to respond. I appreciated their communication. Additionally, the technician who actually installed the flooring (John) was very polite, clean, and efficient. We were very pleased with his professionalism and work. However, it was the interactions with the owner (Igor) that were unfortunate. Our flooring project was for a small bathroom and short hallway, and I was told it would only take one day to complete. So, I was surprised when the technician said they would have to come back to do the transitions and Igor would call me later that day to schedule. No call from Igor, so three days later I had to follow up. A one day project turned into a three week project, and one that left us continuously waiting for the owner to show up to finish the job, each time arriving much later than promised. Completely not showing up on a Saturday afternoon and then arriving 45-60 minutes late for additional appointments, without any attempt to communicate, sends a message that your client's time is not valued or respected. Then, when the transitions were finally installed three weeks later, the visit felt rushed and was evident by the fact that one of the doors did not even close all the way over the transition. This seems like one of the first things that should be checked before leaving a job site. Once again I had to contact the owner to come back to correct the issue, and once again, waited for his late arrival the following day to finally finish the project. We are happy with the final outcome as most of the work was completed by John, but the frustration stemming from the interactions with the owner and constant need for follow-up on my end do not allow me to give this company a stellar review.

I was looking to have the floors in my investment condo buffed and stained post tenant move out. Carlos was easily available via text and phone and after a few exchanges, we were able to agree to a fair price. Prior to the job, Carlos sent me a COI as needed by the building. On the day of, Carlos arrived promptly with another employee along with all the equipment and material. After showing him the problem areas, he assured me that the job would be done to my satisfaction and he certainly kept his word. I returned 4 hours later and although, I could only peep from the door, the floors looked great when I did finally enter the unit 3 days later (allowing plenty of time to let the oil dry). I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Carlos is a young entrepreneurial and hard working small business owner who I will be glad to hire on my next flooring job.

Chicago Stucco did an amazing job on our 120 year old home! They came highly recommended from our…read moreneighbors and we are so glad that we went with them! Tom provided a detailed work order and contract, as well as a window of time when the work would be done. They finished on budget and within that time frame, and coordinated with our carpenters working on repairs. The crew arrived every day bright and early and well prepared for the work and it was amazing to watch their skill and artistry and see the progress each day. We had a 2-week job given the extent of the wear and damage on the house, there were whole sections of stucco missing, myriad holes in the walls, and extensive ivy growth. The crew added new stucco replete with the galvanized mesh wire, and made it match perfectly. The ivy had to be burned off with torches, which had to have been a tedious job, but they absolutely pulled it off. Likewise, a previous owner painted the stucco and much of this had to be scrapped and brushed off--like Tom says, "Don't paint your stucco!" They finished the work with a custom color of our choice and it was perfect. I know some reviews say that Tom can be brusque, though in my experience I found him to simply be no-nonsense and straightforward. It was always a pleasure talking with Tom as well as Eddie, and certainly Spiro who managed the worksite. I recommend Chicago Stucco especially for extensive jobs, and plan to work with them again in the future to stucco our garage. Check out the pictures to see their amazing work!
