I was concerned about the weight on the tires and bearings while he was servicing it, and my dog was visibly uncomfortable with him lifting the stroller while she was inside. He picked up the stroller several times by the front wheel, which seemed awkward at the time. As soon as I left, I realized the front swivel wheel was no longer functioning properly. It now defaults to facing backwards (180°), and the tire rubs against the swivel with every turn. This made it extremely difficult to get my dog home, especially because she has mobility issues. The stroller is not a luxury item for us -- it's something I rely on every single day for my dog, groceries, laundry, and basic errands. When I told my son what happened, he mentioned that he had a similar experience at the same shop a couple of weeks ago. He and a friend brought in a bike with a brake issue. The shop offered to help and didn't charge them, but whatever was done made the bike worse. Sending a kid out with a bike in worse condition than it came in is a safety issue, especially since my son recently had a serious fall due to a mechanical problem. I understand that Spokeasy didn't charge us for these services, but free work still needs to be safe and competent. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. For these reasons, I can only give Spokeasy one star.

Even though Warm Planet doesn't take trade-ins, Kash (the owner) went above and beyond, offering guidance on how to sell the GSD privately and even performing a full tune-up and diagnostic checklist for my buyer. That level of support, especially when there was no immediate sale in it for him, speaks volumes. Then I became the most indecisive, high-maintenance customer imaginable. From December through February, I changed my mind more times than I care to admit. I started out set on a standard Larry vs Harry eBullitt, but then realized our 60-lb Golden Retriever might not be able to comfortably lie down in the front box. That sent me down the rabbit hole. I bounced back and forth between the Yuba Supercargo, the eBullitt X, and the Urban Arrow Family Cargo. At one point I literally laid masking tape on my living room floor to map out the various bucket dimensions to see which one would best fit our dog. Through all of it, Kash was patient, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful. Not once did he pressure me. Not once did he seem annoyed. He just kept offering insight, answering questions, and helping me think through what would truly work best for our family. Kash is truly a diamond in the rough. His kindness and integrity are rare. And Ted, his mechanic, deserves major credit as well. Ted made sure the GSD was in A+ shape for its new owner, and the eBullitt X I finally took home was pristinely assembled. The shifting was buttery smooth, everything dialed, everything perfect. It rode exactly the way a dream cargo bike should. And for someone who's just getting into the biking world not only did he put it together but he explained everything, educated me on different aspects of the bike and even things I can do on my own if I have an issue while riding. Ulysses not only straightened my derailleur hanger, bent in a crash, he fixed damage to the pedal, and managed to keep the rear rack from sliding on the rail with a clever solution that eluded me and other mechanics. I had no reason to second guess SF Wheels services when my front tire got stolen at Safeway in…read moreDiFi. I use my ebike for my mobile business. I had to have a tow for services due to a tire theft. This was a big deal that SF Wheels basically kept putting a mountain bike tire replacement after I had told them I ordered the original tire from Velotric. The mountain bike tire wasn't designed for city street riding that could slip in rain on painted crosswalks, etc. I already had a broken shoulder from slipping on wet roads in 2014. The owner insisted to install the mountain bike wrong tire again I didn't want being entrapped without a choice. What I've revealed above was my second experience outcome. The first time they put used parts from unknown e-bikes with a used tire and rusty spokes without informing me of these details. I thought SFW was offering original parts on the phone with them. They charged $125 labor only so I provided a $40 tip. I took my bike home not knowing the real situation! When I later saw they used rusted spokes with a used tire, I contacted Velotric and ordered a new tire, tube, frame and rotor. I then let SFW I replace their old used parts with new ones with a new tire to install. This started in late February 2026 and in March 17th I still don't have the ebike done of the simple tire change request. Instead they caused these problems forcing things on me, giving me rusty spokes, never calling with questions like "are you okay with used parts from other bikes and an old rusty spoke used tire as well?" It's likely some type of misogyny crap over a woman forcing a tire on me I was too wary of for my safety.
