Ready Rooter came out today to empty and clean the septic tank in our summer rental now turned permanent residence. The service tech was professional, knowledgeable, patient and willing to answer all my questions as he went about the process which has not been done for quite some time. He opened both lids of the 1000 gal tank to insure it was thoroughly cleaned through both openings. It made sense to me. I discovered a great plumbing service years ago by picking out this company in the phone book. Ready Rooter, plumbing and heating. Local company here on the cape. If I ever have any heating or plumbing issue they are my go to company. Top notch service, dependable, friendly people. They have serviced my heating unit, and have maintained my septic system for over 25 years now. Never had an issue with them. During my septic clean out this year, I was informed the leaching pit was not working properly. Contacted Patrick and he came out to discuss a new septic system for us. Built the house 29 years ago and discovered that leaching pits only last about 30 years so instead of waiting for something bad to happen we decided now is a good time to replace it. Patrick lined up everything for us. Plans were developed and submitted to the town for approval. It took 6 weeks before work began, but it went as planned. The crew he had doing the work were excellent. Only took about 4 days from start to finish. They installed new loam and seeded the area. Grass is just starting to come up now. Better system than we had originally so I think it will last a long time. Great Work as usual. All done at the agreed price. We have had emergency needs at times for backed up drains and heating issues, and they have always come right away when we needed them. I can't say enough good things about this company. You get quality work, at a fair price, done right. What more could you want. I highly recommend Ready Rooter for all you plumbing and heating needs. You won't be disappointed. I currently had an issue with one of my hot water tanks leaking in my basement. I called several other plumbers and never even received a call back. Based on a recommendation from a co-worker, I called Ready-Rooter. INITIAL IMPRESSION: The woman who answered the phone was very professional and courteous. She had booked an appointment for the very next day as she was very understanding of the predicament we were in. PLUMBER and QUALITY OF WORK: The plumbers arrived within the two hour window as promised. I even got an email letting me know they were on the way. There were two plumbers that arrived at our house. They were great. John clearly knows his plumbing and took the time to explain everything. Prior to doing anything, I received a call explaining the quote. John answered all of my questions and waited for me to make my "approval" to do the work. In my opinion, the work was top notch. He even made a few adjustments to improve our current system. Furthermore, he took the time to answer other questions I had within our home. I can't say enough about the professionalism and forthrightness of the plumbers that worked in our house. COST: Well, in my experience, plumbing is never cheap. This was no exception. I spent a pretty penny for my new hot water heater. However, sometimes quality of work and trust is worth more than dollars (with in reason). Also, the extra recommendations on further improvements was well appreciated. We had a couple issues with our septic pumping service like weather reschedules, etc. and the staff and management did a good job communicating and resolving the problems. Nice to have a company that is proactive and takes ownership of issues. The tech did a good job checking the flow and restoring the lawn as our hatches are in the yard. Despite the fact that I asked VERY clearly to be called before work is done so I'd know the pricing, this was not done. Sure, they fixed a hairball in my drain and got me for $199. But would I have paid that amount if I knew ahead of time? I'm not sure. And Ready Rooter unfortunately made the decision for me. read more

I have used Ready Rooter for plumbing and septic needs for more than 16 years now. They have done everything including but not limited to replacement of water heater, faucets, kitchen sink. They have repaired toilets, cleared drains, supplied installed and maintained multiple whole house water filter systems as well as reverse osmosis systems for drinking water and feeds to ice-makers and refrigerators AND maintained them for years. I rely on them to call me and alert me when it is time to change the filters, or pump my septic tank, which they do like clockwork. Their office staff is professional and responsive. Their plumbing staff is knowledgeable and proficient. When I call them with an actual emergency they respond appropriately. I trust them to be in my house when I am not home. They clean up after themselves. They stand by their work always. They even bend over backwards to accommodate my special needs due to a medical condition. At my office I am required by my landlord to use only his plumber for any work needed. I will be giving them a review quite different than this when my project is finished. But it is that project that has spurred me to take the time to write this review because using someone other than Ready Rooter for just one small plumbing project (only because I was forced) makes me realize just how much I do appreciate Ready Rooter. We had a burst pipe outdoors on a cold Friday night. My regular plumber would not come and said he was busy Saturday. The answering service at Ready-Rooter took my message. Within two minutes the OWNER Kevin called me. He listened, he diagnosed the problem. We agree that coming out Saturday was good enough. Horrible customer service. Like another reviewer, I have used Ready-Rooter 3 times in the past. Sadly, I will never use them again. I made an appointment to have my septic pumped between 10am and 12pm on my day off from work. I called at 12;15 and informed them their driver had not shown up yet. They informed me he was running late because of a previous job and would be another 45 minutes. I cancelled my appointment and told them they should have called to let me know they were running late because I had other things scheduled for the day. "My Bad" replied the Ready-Rooter representative. Your "Bad" indeed. Bad service, Bad business, Bad company. Don't get burned - Call someone else. read more

Great group of people. They have done two jobs at my house and I'm about to call them for a third. Both times they were very professional, polite, and knowledgeable. They first came out to assess the projects. I received a detailed estimate via email. When the job was complete, the bill was for exactly what was in the estimate. No extra charges even though the job took way more time and effort than originally envisioned. Also they've made all their appointments exactly on time. I've never met a plumbing contractor with that kind of punctuality. Overall, nice, honest people and extremely reliable. read more

I really like these guys. I've had them pump the septic tank 3 times over the past 6 years and they always do a great job. Best thing is that I feel I can trust them. First time I had them out my leaching field had failed but I was skeptical of the report from another septic company in town. Ready rooter sent out their guy and he was on time and dressed professionally in a uniform. He gave good advice and we had our leaching field replaced. Since then they have come twice to pump out the tank. They are always professional in appearance and demeanor and they arrive on time. Once they had to postpone to the next day due to a rash of emergency situations but they gave me plenty of notice and did show up promptly the next day. Their pricing is average for the area and they do sometimes have coupons. read more

Absolutely do not use!!!!! I called them on May 12th to make an appt to have my septic drained. They were booked up and the earliest appt they had was for July 9th. I said fine understanding that they were busy. While waiting to finalize the appt, the woman explained that they were also a plumbing company. This was great because I needed a plumber to replace a backflow valve on my irrigation system. They told me they would be by the next day to fix it between 2-4 pm so I took the afternoon off. At 4 pm on Wed May 13th they called and said they wouldn't be able to make it but would be there on May 14th between 1-3pm. I said ok and took the next afternoon off. At 3pm on the 14th, they called and said they couldn't find the part needed in time so they couldn't make it (they hadn't come by to see what part they needed btw) and that they would be over 1st thing in the morning on the 15th. I was furious but I wasn't going to find anyone to come out any sooner so I took the 15th off. They plumber finally showed at 1230 on the 15th.( I guess this is what they considered 1st thing.) It took him almost 5 hours to do a job that was supposed to take 45 mins. Fast forward almost 2 months. I still had the appt for my septic. I get a call on July 8th confirming my appt for July 9th between 1-3pm. At 255pm on July 9th, I get a call from them saying that they weren't going to make it. It was like deja vu, except when I asked when they were going to be here, they told me that their next opening was July 30th. So I wait almost 2 months for an appt, they cancel 5 mins before the window they were supposed to be here closes, and then they want me to wait another 3 weeks? ya, I don't think so. If I could give negative stars I would. I would never use this company(if you can even call it that) again. Use them if you have nothing to do and like waiting around. read more
