We used RJ Olson Plumbing and Heating for a home renovation. Ultimately, their final invoice was…read more100% more than their stated quote without any additional work. In addition, one of the bathrooms that they renovated leaked within 2 weeks requiring excavation of our ceiling and walls, further complicating the renovation and setting us back in progress. If you are to use them, I would solidify the price upfront and ensure that the work is done above bar.

I called Mike late afternoon, the day before thanksgiving. Not only did he return my call, he was at my house at 6pm. The problem turned out to be a broken PVC pipe outside the house. Mike dug up the pipe and made the repairs, (in the dark); he also replaced the laundry trap I had broken during the day. I highly recommend Mike; he is very good at what he does and you can count on him showing up. Mike saved our Thanksgiving; all our plumbing is working well again.

He stopped by and gave us a quote which was very comparable to other quotes we received. We decided to go with Michael and a few days later (before our scheduled installation date) our boiler/heating system completely broke and we had no hot water. He again stopped by and looked it and offered to try to fix it temporarily. We appreciated the offer but we just waited for the scheduled installation date that we had already set. Michael had said it would take 3 days to install and it took 3 days. He arrived on time every day and worked all day in the very hottest of days. His subcontractor/electricians came on the last day and they were polite and on time. We asked them for their business cards in case we needed future electrical work. I've attached a photo of his work. Disregard the flooring as that where the old equipment was.

He was friendly and responsive to calls and just had a generally good attitude about coming out to do a quality job even though it was probably pretty minor compared to other projects for him. I do a lot of my own work in my house and for the few things that are "beyond my pay grade" like running gas pipe, I was happy to hire Ed. I will have no hesitation calling him again if another project comes up. Thanks!
