Plus u have to get up , go to best buy, and wait in line. Called these folks up after seeing all the positive reviews and they didnt disappoint. Later the same day, Billy came over to take a look at it. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He ran a diagnostic at my place and my harddrive was fried. So he took my laptop and external hd to try to get the data from it. Unfortunately, it was fried pretty badly, but they work with another company that specializes in data recovery. I had my important data backed up already, so i decided to get a new computer all together bc i compromised on the original one that fried out. Figured i would just get the one i really wanted. They recycled the old computer and returned my external hd the same day i made the decision. Throughout the process, i was completely informed of their progress via email. If i wanted to replace my hd and recover windows, i wouldve gladly given them my business. I ended up paying only for the diagnosis I would wholeheartedly recommend these folks to anyone with computer issues, both to diagnose and fix

1. I love that they have support specialists come to you, whether its work or home. It was so…read moreconvenient for me to be able to coordinate with my schedule. 2. They really try their best to help you. While it was a bit tough to correspond just over email (they would be unresponsive at times until I followed up), I feel like that might have been solved if I just called. But when Billy came, he was very helpful, friendly, and proactive. 3. Affordable. While ultimately, my laptop had an issue that was not-so-simply fixable, if I had gotten it fixed, it would have been much more affordable than I expected. I was happy with the price. All in all, I would say that this seems like a solid place. The next time I have any technical issues or problems with my computer, I will definitely be using SolveMyPC!! :)

Honest guy, great service, great price…read more My laptop crashed after a nasty virus and I didn't get a chance to back up my files. I thought I would never recover my files b/c I couldn't get my laptop to start up after multiple attempts. I went Best Buy geek squad first, and they quoted me a ridiculous amount of money just for a diagnostic and then another ridiculous amount for data recovery. And they said data recovery wasn't even a guarantee, but I would still have to pay for the diagnostic. It was a rip off, considering I could just buy a brand new laptop with the amt of money they were charging me...and all I wanted was my lost data. I looked up local computer repair shops, and I ran into My IT Mouse. I was surprised how quickly and easily he recovered my data, and he only charged about $50 at that time. He asked if I wanted to revive my laptop for an additional small fee, but I ended up declining the offer b/c I realized it was time to buy a new laptop anyways, since the other one was old. I
