The other reviews were right! Mr. Han is great. Very helpful and so nice. My son's computer locked up during a Window's 11 update, and he was unable to even access his computer. None of the advice offered by Microsoft's online help center techs worked. Unfortunately, my son hadn't backed up his files in awhile, so he feared many were lost. Mr. Han took out his hard drive and tried to find the files, but they were "hidden" because of the Windows glitch. The conundrum we encountered was that we couldn't access the files without Windows working properly, but the only way to get Windows to work would be to do a fresh install that would wipe the files. The solution was to replace the hard drive (upgraded capacity) but save the old hard drive and extract the old files ourselves when it was convenient. This way, my son could use his computer again and not lose his files. Han spent an hour trying to find the files and then another hour replacing the hard drive and doing the fresh install of Windows 11, making sure everything was installed correctly and the machine ran smoothly. To our amazement, once he was done, he was able to see many of the files we thought were lost! We were so grateful for Mr. Han's help, and his fee was so reasonable--$80 for the 1TB hard drive and $60 for his labor. I will forewarn future customers that his shop is kind of hard to find and not too pretty to look at as the back is piled high with old equipment and lots of junk in storage, but Han really knows what he is doing, and that is what matters! Han is the best! I spilled an entire glass of wine on my 2012 MacBook Pro and was mortified because my entire life was on there. A friend recommended Han to me and he was incredible. So knowledgeable and helpful and VERY affordable. He was able to get everything off my hard drive and on to an external one. Many years ago, ca. 2004, there was a monthly computer flea market at the College of DuPage on Sunday mornings. Han was a regular vendor way back then, selling a variety of used computer hardware and over a few years I purchased a variety of items from him. Everything I purchased was in perfect working order and very reasonably priced. Quality, reliable merchandise. Always very helpful, friendly and great to deal with. I got a lot of use from that equipment over many years. I once had an issue with one item and had to hunt down his store which is really hidden. He stands behind his products and services and quickly resolved the problem. The landscape for re-selling computer hardware has changed, it's now mostly eBay, and I can still do most of my own fixing, Han remains highly recommended for your computer service needs. read more

I would never take my computer anywhere else than to Han. Yesterday, I took my seven year old iMac desktop in after I got a message the hard drive was failing. Han got it fixed that same day. After hours, he worked on the delicate task of removing the screen to get to the hard drive. He replaced it with a new solid-state hard drive and imaged the old drive to the new. My iMac now runs like a new computer, faster than ever. He did this all at an extremely reasonable price. I have nothing but good to say about him. A little Gem hidden in the rough! This place is impossible to see if youre just standing on the road looking at the strip hes in. once you do find his shop and walk in it is dark and full of computer stuff everywhere, and then you get to the main room. Computers stacked as high as the ceiling, and a nice display of ready to buy and go laptops on the counter, adding memory upgrades to your newly purchased computer is also done right on the spot in front of you. And the prices are reasonable! Hes a bit quiet but the perfect person to do business with if you are looking for a used but well refurbished computer, or just for a repair or upgrade. Mr. Han is amazing! Such a sweet and kind man! People like him are so rare these days...... I came in later in the afternoon to drop off my old laptop. Mr. Han was busy but he still took the time to check my computer on the spot and instead charging me whatever ha should have, he explain what was wrong, put my old hard drive in some kind of device and told me step by step what to do in order to retrieve all the data. Even though he had a 5 pm service call and it was already 4:40 pm, Mr. Han instead getting rid off me, made a quick call saying he was going to be a little late (because he was taking care of me) and he patiently finished explaining to me what to do. I am still speechless and touched by his kindness and thoughtfulness! This world would be a better place if more people were like Mr. Han! I can't say enough about him.
