They take damn near everything. Great place for dropping off old electronics. If you are looking for a cheap computer that works... this is the place. The fact is that if you are being your computer to get worked on its cause your not as smart as this team, also if selling something rem your computer is dated the day u pay for it new in a store so with being said in no way should their be a bad review on this place. As for my experience I am from out of town working got a new Mac finally decided to part with old one, they were able to save my information just fine. The most amazing part, is the manager. I was confused on how it all worked selling and getting my stuff saved. Well they didn't know all the anomalies but my son happen to leave his wallet in my truck when I came to work, and he had my visa bank card so all I had was my atm card. So I running close to 7 racing to get the stuff before holidays so my son could set it up for me over the weekend. Either way I would have had to run to bank, was trying to avoid 2 trip to this area. The money was not the issue but more The driving. In the end how it worked out, I would drove 5 hours or days whatever it takes to be back next weeks to honor the arrangement. I will tell you that manager has a good core, small town mentality for trust, pro big city smarts. Fact is every company has to make a profit to survive and keep it profitable and stainable. Picked up a wireless USB n adapter and it doesn't work. Thank goodness it was only 8 bucks. Also brought a charger in here and left it. Came back to find out it was no longer there. They wanted 135 to fix a 9 dollar charge port on a laptop I paid 250 on. Decided to do it myself. They do got lots of goodies at low prices to rummage through and I most likely will use it as a place to recycle my pc parts in the future. read more

In the past, I've had 2 laptops repaired at the Tukwila location. On 25Aug2020, I took my current 2.5 YO laptop in. I had been having to reboot frequently, then while transferring pics from an external hard drive to an email, it quit working. I tried to start it several times over the weekend and finally took it in on Tuesday. The counter clerk plugged it in and it started...ok, now I'm the dumb senior citizen in his eyes. He made little effort to pick up on clues just what the problem might be...such as could the ext. hard drive be involved? He said the technician would run a diagnostic on it. 2 days later, the tech called and said "it starts ok...what do you want me to do with it?" He had notes that mentioned that I normally had 2 ext. hard drives attached to the laptop, but never had a question about that or the last activity I was working on when the laptop failed. All he had to offer was "maybe" an upgrade to the most recent version of Windows 10 would help. His English had a strong accent and he spoke rapidly without enunciating clearly. I had to ask him to speak slower, but after 1 sentence he went right back to his rapid fire speech and he was clearly annoyed when I repeated the request. Equally frustrated, I authorized the upgrade and he called back on Fri. afternoon for me to pick up the laptop. I took it home and it worked. I plugged in the 2 ext. hard drives and the laptop wouldn't recognize the1 containing my photo files. I tried that hard drive on a friend's laptop and it wouldn't work. On Monday, I left a msg. on the tech's extension, explaining the issue with the ext. hard drive and asked whether he could extract my photo files from the "bad" hard drive and install them on a new drive. No reply. 24 hours later, I sent him a text msg. referencing the phone call, my previous work order number, etc. I asked that he please return my call. Didn't happen. Next week I'll pursue the issue with another company and will just hope that RE-PC will invest a little time and effort in their employees' customer service skills. read more

I bought my third computer there this week. When my computer conked out about 6 months ago, RE-PC sold me exactly what I wanted (a Dell optiplex desktop format with XP) for under $200. When I had a problem with something I bought, they fixed it for me. When my wife's and sister-in-law's computers died more recently, I got reliable used computers for them. All 3 of us are very pleased with our new used computers. The Tukwila store has excellent management; the staff is well trained and friendly. It's a long slog for me to get there through the traffic on 405, but it's worth it for the money I save and reliable equipment they sell. I recommend RE-PC to all my friends and family. It's also a convenient place to recycle old computers, electronics and TVs. read more

The service personnel, especially Gene, are often immensely skillful and will go the extra mile for you when buying their equipment. This place is just great. I often bring in e-tronic waste that is left at our condos and workplace as they recycle it free of charge (except UBS which are $5). I'm not much into old computers but have bought RAM from them in the past for friends who needed to update their computers. The staff is very friendly and know their stuff. They also have a lot of vintage electronics on the back wall and I've found a few things for my collection. Overall great place! read more

These guys a pretty helpful over all. I'm not into old computer parts but if you are, this is your place. I was able to bring my old laptop in for recycling, free of charge, which was nice. Now I go for the Ink Stop, which is located inside this store. The proprietor of the Ink stop is incredibly nice and knowledgeable and will tell you the truth. He prevented me from buying some of his ink for a new printer because my older printer was considerably better and the ink was cheaper. Seems like he wants to help you make the right decision, not the decision that always puts more money in his pocket. I can certainly appreciate that. read more

I had 2 really old towers and several laptops that needed to have data wiped and the computers recycled. When I went in, I was directed to where the hand carts are so you can load the pcs from your car and take them up the ramps into the store. They removed and punched out the hard drives from the old towers after determining I wanted those punched. (They asked if I wanted them punched or wiped. Punched means they will literally put holes in the hard drives.) There is a $5 charge for each pc that is treated this way. The laptops were all wiped with no charge on them. Service was professional. The next time I need to recycle a laptop, I'm coming back here. read more

This store is a completely immersed geek's heaven, but it also offers a lot for the non uber-geek. I'm slightly nerdy, slightly tech ignorant, and never have the latest up-to-date thing because I don't have a need & don't want to spend the extra $ just to say I have the latest. So this store is great for me, too! I've found they're always forthcoming with info or help when asked, but don't hassle you or get underfoot (standard technique for most retail sales) when you're just browsing. I just finished yet another phone call, asking for a rough idea of the prices on a hard drive, some ram, and possibly the service charge if I just want them to put it in for me. I didn't get any hem-hawing or "we'd need to see it to give you a price". I just got a price. Nice. Also, when I wasn't sure what type of HD or RAM, he said if I want to bring my CPU in, they'd look at it & tell me which type I need. These guys are just the right blend of hands-off and helpfulness. I find myself going back again & again, and referring friends. I also had a printer die, when I had a few ink cartridges already stocked up. As expensive as they are, it was cheaper to go down and get the same exact brand & model of my old computer from them - for $10! - in order to use up my other ink, than it would be to buy the new printer AND the new ink and waste the old stuff. I avoided just dumping the money I already paid for ink down the drain. And, I now have plenty of time to not only get up the $ for a brand new printer & ink, but to wait for a good sale! Oh My God!!!! What the heck is wrong with these people?!?!!!! I went in there and asked what it would cost to replace the cracked screen on my laptop. He asked me what size it was and said he had a few 17.2 and showed me a couple screens and said it would be $35.00 for the screen and $85.00 to install it. I said I would bring it down and we could check it out. I showed up the next day and he brought out a piece of paper for me to sign. But said it was $.50.00 for the screen and $85.00 for the install. I told him he had already told me $35.00 and he said No I don't believe I said that. Rather than hassle over $15.00 I said alright, Whatever lets just get it done. YESTERDAY!! two days after I dropped it off I get a phone call and they have one they think might work and it is $85.00!!! WTF!!! So I said HELL NO!! I will be in tomorrow to pick up my laptop. I showed up first thing this morning to get my laptop and he hands me a diagnostics bill for $45.00 and my laptop!! Really?!?! You guys raised the price on me three times and wanted to install a screen you weren't sure would work and have me pay for you to check it on my computer!! I picked up my laptop and put it in it's case and said I am not giving you a frigging dime!! Sue me. I have NEVER in my life been scammed like that by a business so blatantly. First time in. I found them online and had an old Dell computer and monitor that I wanted to sell for some cash so I brought them in. I was helped right away, even with several customers in the store already. I was offered a fair price and everyone was friendly. Great place for cheap used equipment both old and new. I would definately return here again. 4 out of 5 stars because they give you a check instead of cash. Hopefully they'll reconsider this in the future because it is an unneccesary hassle for the customer. read more

I've shopped at various computer shops around the region for years. I am a PC enthusiast, and I know a lot about computers. This store several years ago was quite an amazing place, where I've bought thousands of dollars worth of computers from. However, in the last year they have changed some of their staff members and a lot of friendliness from the employees has vanished. The people now don't have a clue about what they are talking about, which is frustrating when I'm looking for an answer to a question. People say that they have cheap stuff, which in some instances is true. However, especially related to monitor, this is not the case whatsoever. You can commonly find monitors that are the exact same for 50% less by going to different and better PC stores in the region, such as 3R technology in Seattle, which is where I now shop at instead of here. Not to mention their computers are not very good (the ones they sell as a barebones system). They are often overpriced by a significant margin compared to the competition, and I can' not honestly recommend shopping here. Please spare yourself the trip and search for what you want on Craigslist or Ebay, especially if you want things in a hurry since the wait lines can take forever. tl;dr, Extremely lousy customer service, long waits, over priced, do not recommend. read more
