Now that we are…read moremore dependent on our phones that ever, it's imperative you have a device with enough juice to get you though at least 8 hours before going into low power mode. Doing research, I found shops online that you could mail your phone to and they had the best pricing. My problem with that, was being without my phone for 7-10 days. When I started looking around on yelp, many shops had great reviews, but their prices were ridiculous. You can buy a battery for $25 on eBay or Amazon, it's a 30-minute service, So anyone charging you 3 figures is ripping you off. Especially when you consider as a business, you probably buy batteries by the dozen and probably pay closer to $15 each. Service took 45 minutes, cost me $80. I didn't have to mail anything or go without my phone for a week. Honestly, I only have one knock for these guys, they don't appear to want you in the store. I would have much rather liked to take a seat and wait for my device than be booted and asked to come back in 40 minutes. Funny enough, I had just grabbed a bite, had I known I couldn't wait, I would have dropped the phone first then grabbed my bite to pass the time. Either way, they get 5 stars. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

Although there were a few missing components when we opened all of the packaging containing the cabinetry, Brian made sure everything was as it should be in the end and got me everything I asked and paid for with no argument. He even made a few deliveries himself. Brian was professional, extremely knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions or concerns. He had me come up to his office / warehouse location to look at some examples of what United had to offer, which I would recommend others do as well. He "always" responded back to me when I sent an email or called even when he was ill or on vacation. He explained things when I didn't understand so I could contemplate what I wanted, and we could go forward from there. When the remodel was complete, Brian and his colleague, Jade Hemmings, came out with a professional photographer (at my convenience) and took photographs. Jade made sure I was given copies of the photos taken, which was sincerely appreciated. 3D PRINTING = SOLUTION FOR UNAVAILABLE PARTS?! I have a 12…read moreyear old Dirt Devil vacuum that needed a part that was no longer available either from Dirt Devil, or any vacuum parts website. So earlier this year, I spoke to Felicia at Smart Tech 3D Printing in Renton. I asked her what it would cost to print off one "air director" for my Dirt Devil "Reaction Fresh D2" Model 110006 vacuum cleaner, as it was missing one of its two air directors. Because they would have to reverse engineer the part using the air director I had, the cost of printing up just that one part was too high. So, I gave them the vacuum cleaner, as otherwise I would have had to scrap it as that part was not available anywhere. I was hoping they would print it up and use it as their own vacuum cleaner in the shop. IN THE "SPIRIT OF PIONEERING"! Long story short, lo and behold, I later spoke to Felicia about a month or two later, and found out that they indeed went ahead and 3-D printed the missing unavailable air director. Since 3d printing unavailable parts for old vacuum cleaners (or any other old thing that would easily otherwise get scrapped) is basically unheard of, and therefore in it's "pioneering days", I told her that I would like to make a YouTube video comparing performance of their 3-D printed part versus an original part. So Felicia let me take the vacuum home to make the comparison video (see "Smart Tech 3D Printing created unavailable part for my Dirt Devil"). The video shows that their 3-D printed air director (see photo) performs about the same as an original Dirt Devil air director. THERE IS BROAD MERIT FOR BRICK AND MORTAR! While I was there, I gave them another assignment to print a much smaller part for a Shark Navigator brush roll. Because this part was much smaller, and easier to design and print, they email invoiced me only $56.05 for the Navigator parts. Their invoice conveniently allowed me to pay via Apple Pay, which was nice! I can't help but think that my making the video re: the Dirt Devil part may have played a role. Anyway, another reason to hire Smart Tech 3D Printing is that they are a brick and mortar operation with a physical shop. Felicia tells me that most 3-D printing operations are over the Internet only. Smart Tech 3D Printing also operates over the Internet, but you also have the option of coming to their shop, now located (they just moved) at 138 S. 3rd Pl. in Renton WA, just across the street from McLendon hardware. Unfortunately, this option is getting rarer and rarer. BTW, street parking is easily available right in front of the shop.

I recently had a frustrating experience with this company. I followed their RMA instructions and returned an item, but USPS couldn't deliver it due to an expired forwarding. When I contacted them for help, they refused to cover the cost of reshipping and insist I pay again,. On top of that, they demand a 15% "restocking fee". Their lack of responsibility and unwillingness to rectify their mistake has left me frustrated and feeling taken advantage of like others here. I caution others to be cautious when dealing with 3R technology as their disregard for customers results in unnecessary financial burden and disappointment. I should have stayed buying new from reputable resellers. read more

This is a wonderful (larger) computer shop that I didn't even know about until i found an ad for a $399 MacBook pro on craigslist, and i'll have to say, it is as good as it gets, if not better! They are super nice and helpful, and above the 20% discount for the MacBook pro, they included free extras! They have just about every computer part, item, modem you name it, for unbeatable prices! I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a great wonderful computer at great prices that both work and look good!
