I contacted at least 7 plumbers via web with the same message: Emergency, clogged sewer line. R/C Solution was the only plumber who ever got back to me. I sent messages through different interfaces on the web besides Home Advisor. I received emails all saying that I would be contacted soon. R/C Solution is the only one who called me the same day I put out the message. They made an appointment to see my sewer line the day I discovered the emergency. Within a half hour, Miguel invited me to see the problem / worst case scenario through their sewer cam: A root from the Poplar Tree broke through the pipe. Miguel and his partner took about 5 or 6 hours to get the job done. As you see from the pics, they dug about at least 100 pounds of roots. The section of pipe they cut out, as you see in the pic, should remind everyone what will happen if you plant a large tree next to a sewer line. As you see, their solution to couple in the new section of pipe was very neat; they had to dig down about 5 or 6 feet through compacted soil and rock to accomplish this. After they were done, as you see in the pic, R/C Solution pretty much had the driveway back to normal. In the future, I look forward to working with R/C Solutions again. These guys done a great job before. Omar has installed cleanout for a great price. Yesterday I called just unclog shower which was backing up due to Kitchen and dishwasher usage. They didn't even listen properly and he said $475. Really, just to unclog. We called someone else. He unclogged in 30mins and they charged only $110. Updated Review Miguel called back. Looks like they will charge $475 to do check all pipes and drain and run camera. Just for unclogging one drain, they will charge $98. He has offered to run the camera for free to check any other clogs. I will update my review after that. read more

Manuel and his team did a great job with first installing a clean out and then replacing all our sewer lines. When we first called him to clear our clogged drain he ran a camera through the vent and showed me all the areas where our old pipe was malformed / clogged due to corrosion and wear. He was very transparent in giving a short term and long term solution. When I finally decided to replace all sewer lines, he gave me a good price and worked on our schedule (weekends). They were thorough and efficient and completed the job in just 1.5 days and showed me all the old / damaged pipes that were replaced. Last Sunday, we discovered a water leak under our house. Found a list of plumbers on Yelp!, and started calling. After making over a dozen calls and having no luck, I went from, "I want an outfit with high ratings," to, "I hope I can get someone to show up on a Sunday." I finally had the good fortune to call Edgar from Solution Plumbing. He was at my door exactly an hour later. He quickly assessed the situation, and repaired the leak. Our house had been retrofitted with copper pipes before we moved in. But when the pipes were replaced, the installer used the old galvanized brackets to secure them. Edgar explained that copper and galvanized don't get along, and the chemical reaction was the reason our pipe failed. Fast forward to today (Thursday), and Edgar is here again, changing out the old galvanized brackets. He was five minutes early for our appointment, and as I've come to expect, polite and professional. He also found another leak caused by the copper/galvanized thing. Really glad we didn't put off replacing the brackets. I would recommend Solution Plumbing to anyone looking for honest, fair, and professional plumbing services. I wish I had called them earlier, but I think I saw that they only had 7 (all 5 star) ratings and decided to keep calling. Don't be fooled like I was. It is never pleasant to deal with any kind of plumbing issues. And when the issue is related to toilets, you want it taken care of asap. We recently moved into house that was built in 1963 and quickly realized that all the new plumbing done throughout the house didn't matter as the weakest spot was the sewer line connecting to city sewer, which required thorough cleaning. Yesterday, I called around a few places for hydro jetting service. One did not pickup or got back, another one quoted almost $900 dollars for 2 hours (Really!) and wanted me to wait for a week. And then I found Solutions Plumbing through Yelp!. Ed asked me questions and gave me price on the phone, and said he could come next day, that is today. Today, Ed informed me by message before arriving, and then arrived few minutes before scheduled time, got straight to work. Within first 10 minutes, he already found the source of the problem - root intrusion - he showed me everything on video camera, and was able to flush it out with hydro jets. Ed identified the segment of the pipe that I know we will have to replace eventually, and also made recommendations about what we could do to prevent problems until then. I also decided to get kitchen drain inspected while they were there. And Ed was able to accommodate additional service before leaving as they were well equipped with additional batteries for the camera. I was very pleased with professionalism of Solutions Plumbing. Sunday 1/11/2015, i notice that the main shut off valve coming into the house has sprung a leak. i was really worried since it was a sunday and wasn't sure if there was anyone working. i called a list of plumbers on yelp and came across Solution Plumbing. i decided to go with them because they were very prompt at answering the call. i called at 10:30am and they had someone out at my house within one hour. Edgar came by to assessed the problem and let me know that one of his guys will be there to do the repair. Edgar is a true professional and will not take advantage of your lack of plumbing knowledge. On two occasions, we needed Edgar's help. The first time was to replace a toilet. Second, was to replace shower fixtures and fix a leaking toilet. While here on his second visit, rather than charge us, he simply gave my fiance simple instructions for what we could buy at Home Depot to replace the toilet ourselves. This is probably my best phone call to a plumbing company. I already had one estimate from a big company but I wanted to have a second opinion. I'm glad I did because with my first estimate I was going to pay$5500. Very professional. We have a main pipe eruption last month and they came in fix it right away.. After the fix, we can hear the water pipe making sounds during night and we asked them to check out, they came in 3 times on various days and whenever they came the sound disappears, i.e. we can't reproduce the problem during the day time. But we still can hear the sounds when we use water during nights, then we asked a handy man come and he adjusted the water pressure a few psi lower and that solved the problem. We had some minor plumbing issues that we kept putting off and/or trying to fix ourselves (2 dripping sinks and a clogged bathtub.) But it became apparent that we needed a professional. A friend of ours recommended Solution Plumbing, so we gave Edgar a call. He was kind, courteous, and professional. He set an appointment for a few days out to accommodate our schedule. The night before he called to confirm our appointment and location. The day of he was about 10 minutes early! He was efficient, tidy, and explained everything to us. His pricing/fees were quite reasonable and he takes checks as well as credit cards. After he left I realized he not only fixed our problems, but he had also sealed our kitchen sink - something that was needed but we didn't ask him to do. I thought that was a nice touch because it was not necessary for him to do that, but needed nonetheless kwim. I am a confident, take-care-of-myself woman, but I'm not naive. I made sure that my husband was home with me for both safety and to avoid the "take advantage of the little woman" syndrome. I called this company as my water heater was leaking and I spoke to a nice gentleman called Edgar. He was quick and very responsive to my problem and promptly came to identify the issue and recommended a short term and a long term fix. As a short term, he replaced the temperature and pressure valve of the heater and in the process, the knob that controls the water to the heater broke. He was very helpful in getting that fixed too which took much longer than expected. Overall he spent 2 hours. All was well until he completely overcharged us ($485) to do this job. I researched online and the parts cost about $40 and even if you add $100/hr which is way overpriced, it comes to $240. I ended up paying $300 which I think now was too much. Even though he seemed knowledgeable and helpful, this has left a bitter taste. read more

My house was built in 1963, the entire sewer system has been over 50 years. Last Sunday it suddenly gave us a big surprise that stopped working. The dirty water came back to the tube if we flushed the toilet. The worse thing was it happened at midnight!!! I tried to call couple of contractors but no one willing to come. I had a complicated situation for a water heater replacement within a triplex unit and Miguel did the replacement which started on a Saturday and he wrapped up on Monday since the replacement water heater supplier was closed over the weekend. He took care of following up without any intervention needed by me. That was pretty cool! 2-3 weeks later, there was some dampness on the floor in the water heater closet. We called Solution Plumbing because we needed some routine plumbing done in our home. Edgar came to give us an estimate for the routine work and upon inspection of the pipes informed us that we should probably consider a repipe for our house because our existing pipes were galvanized and in bad condition and should be replaced with copper ones. I knew we needed a repipe, and as an experienced homeowner, I had done my homework by getting 5 other Plumbing contractors to give estimates for the work I needed done. Edgar gave me a very reasonable estimate in comparison to the other plumbing contractors. The other estimates were all 25-30% more expensive than Solution Plumbing. Upon completion of the job we were very satisfied with the work, and were assured that if we had any problems with the work they had done to call them and they would return and address the problem. I called Solution Plumbing because the drain in my 82 year old mother's house was backed up. I could not get over there myself and had to rely on them to be honest with my mother. I don't recall the plumbers name, but he went there, assessed the situation and would not do any work until he spoke to me. Rather then confuse my mother he wanted to make sure he explained all of the options to me, gave me the quote and completed the work exactly as he said he would. He cleaned all the way to the street and told us we could call the city if it ever backed up again. About a year later it did back up again and Solutions Plumbing went to my mother house, called the city and got the problem fixed for no-charge. They kept their word. Our tenant was stuck on a Sunday with a broken hot water valve that would not shut off. The city was able to shut the water off right away but we needed to get this fixed right away. Our regular plumber does not work on Sundays so I was stuck scouring Yelp to find a plumber. Solution plumbing had great reviews so I gave them a call. Edgar answered and told me he was in the area and could be over in less than 10 minutes. He indeed arrived as he said he would. He took a look at our faucet which is in a 100 year old Craftsman house. Unfortunately the job could not be done the same day but he was able to just shut off the water to shower so the rest of the sinks could be used. He came back promptly on Monday and fixed the job at a price slightly less than he originally thought. Edgar is our guy! We had our bathroom drain problem and got another plumbing company to fixed it 3 weeks ago but we got disappointed that the next day we found out that the problem wasn't really fixed. It still draining very slow, and finally it doesn't drain at all. My husband called Solutions Plumbing and Drain and Edgar really came in and do a really great job!!!
