Better than I was expecting... here's why:…read more Caribbean/West Indian restaurants are generally notorious for having rude staff. Not sure why but most places live up to that hype. But at this establishment, I was greeted by BOTH of the workers AND got multiple smiles!!! PROS: - Location is easy to find in the plaza and has lots of free parking - Good selection of items (a con for me today unfortunately, see below) and Caribbean drinks - Staff was very welcoming, helpful & polite - Very bright, clean, well-kept restaurant - Prices are reasonable for the generous portions served - Taste of the food was very good I ordered a Jerk Chicken w/Rice& Peas & Stew Cabbage (but also comes with a con below) CONS: - They sadly didn't have much selection at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon... no jerk pork, and not enough items in the soup to order it (I was told to come early for the jerk pork as it tends to sell out!) - The jerk chicken was quite dry... they need to find a way to keep it from drying out because the flavor of it was good I feel like this meal is not truly indicative of this restaurant so I'm going back soon. And EARLY. "I want my Jerk Pork!!!" And I'll keep you all posted...

My Jamaican friend told me Golden Crust wasn't good but since they were nearby and open I gave them a shot. Got a Small Curry Chicken for me and a Small Brown Stew Chicken for my coworker. Both of us were happy with our food. Everything was fresh, hot and tasted good. The only thing I didn't like was the meat being chopped, but that's standard at Jamaican restaurants so it wasn't a big deal. Total was $39 for two plates including delivery and tip. Portion size was good, price wasn't bad. Loved the flavor of the chicken, rice and the steamed veggies. I would buy again.

My legume dinner was missing the macaroni salad and came with rice and peas and only 2 plaintains. Which isn't a huge deal but I would've liked if it came as advertised on the door dash website. The rice and peas were RRALLY good though, flavorful and fluffy. The legume was just OK, not much flavor to me and a big oily. I would like to try their other dishes though and give them a second chance.

I had not eaten anything all day, and was really looking forward to grabbing a nice meal tonight…read more Since I've been craving carribbean (hatian to be specific) lately, I looked up places online and decided to give Le Bistro 2.0 a go! Going inside, the place was pretty quiet, and I was able to place my order quickly, however the wait was a little long than I anticipated. For dinner, I ordered 1x griot complete to go and a side of the macaroni au gratin. Moving on with my review, I was really appalled as the photos and reviews online seemed to be flowing with positivity, but when it came down to the main event it was not good. First off, THE WHOLE MEAL WAS $34. Now, I know costs have gone up across the board, but I've never paid more than $15 for a plate of griot VERY PRICEY. As for the food, the griot had a lot of bones and was dried out. The Dijon rice was cooked ok, but pretty lack luster in terms of flavor. The tostone and macaroni salad (probably the highlight of the meal) tasted alright, but came in very small quantities. HOWEVER, the worst of the meal tonight though SHOCKINGLY was the MACARONI AU GRATIN. I don't know how you mess this up, but the pasta sauce and cheese on top had a sour sauce that made my stomach queasy afterward.. Moreover, the staff didn't seem very warm, despite my attempts to make small conversation. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience tonight at Le Bistro 2.0 and would give it a no go as my final verdict is 1/5 stars.

First off, the turkey frit was one of the best Haitian dishes I've ever had at a restaurant! I had…read moreto start off with that statement! It was perfectly fried, you can tell it marinated for awhile before cooking and was a very reasonable portion for the cost. The diri djon was plentiful and tasted great as well! The sign of a great fried turkey is it not needing pikliz or sauce- it stands alone as a really great dish. The loss of a star was because I ordered akra fritters and received the boulet instead. Since I ordered through a delivery service it was reimbursed but wanted to acknowledge as a missed order note. I highly recommend this as your first choice in Haitian cuisine if you are in the area and looking. I also ordered the legume with white rice and it was also pretty good. While I haven't dined in yet, I can also anticipate an ambiance that is well-equipped to give an authentic Haitian cuisine experience.

I decided to get food at Golden Krust. There was such a quiet ambiance as people were steadily coming in. Two female employees were tending to each customer in a timely manner. One of the employees dished out my order of the brown stew chicken lunch special into a carry out container. It was served with rice & peas, steamed vegetables, and plantain. After paying for the food, I sat at an available table to enjoy my lunch. The steamed vegetables was tasty with a crunchy texture. The rice & peas was cooked to soft consistency. The chicken was browned nicely, tender, and flavorful. No comment on the one plantain which was quickly eaten...place is very stingy with the plantains. Enjoyable food nonetheless.

As soon as he got back with the goods I dug in, and I was NOT disappointed. The flavor was spot on - spicy and rich. Cooked to tender, sticky, gelatinous perfection and bone-suckingly good! Since I am unable to pass by a morsel of crispy fried pork, I also ordered the griot with fried plantain and it was delightful! Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Not overly salty or greasy. Just plain good! I can't speak to the in-store experience, but the carry-out experience is well worth repeating!
