Located along Atlantic Blvd., Donna's offers lunch, entrees, sides, and cold beverages. Upon entering, you can see the trays of various foods that was being served. There is no table seating. After overlooking the menu displayed on the wall, one of the employees prepared my order of a medium sized brown stew chicken which was served with rice & peas and salad. The employee also put a nice amount of sauce over the rice...definitely appreciated that. Here's what I thought about the food: * the rice & peas was cooked to a soft consistency * the chicken was browned nicely, tender, and full of flavor * the salad was fresh, but had no dressing or vinaigrette added. Was just lettuce with a few shredded carrots throughout With the exception of the salad, the food was enjoyable. May visit this location again whenever I get the taste for Jamaican food. read more

The food is just as disgusting as the service... you can come in an hour and a half before closing and they're already packing everything away and giving you a disgusting look for coming in. The lady with the glasses is so rude its sad she doesn't listen and you have to repeat your order 10x and she's gonna tell you you keep changing your order. Back to the food ...please go to Peppa seed or literally anywhere else for good food, i came because i was close by and SO hungry biggest regret ever $13 for a small plate of BS . The food is always good, never a complaint about the food here. The service, however, is extremely mind mannered, in the worst way. Long story short, the 2 ppl in front of me had large orders, I had one order. With multiple people fixing plates, myself, and the other two customers had to keep bouncing in front of each other, in order to keep up with our plates. I told the other customer that our orders were about to get mixed up. The older lady, whom had just returned from lunch, advised no one was skipping the line, when that wasn't what I said. When she cashed me out, she said "see, you got your food... ." As she proceeded to hand me the change, she balled up the money in literal ball and shoved it in my hand along with the pennies and nickels. The rudeness is absurd. read more

Food is ok but not great. Watch out for the old lady there with glasses. I think she might think she is Donna herself. When she shares out your food she likes to count the rice grains and you'd be lucky to get any meat in your soup. Jerk chicken and pork is not really "jerk" it's more like oven roasted with jerk sauce on it. read more

Service is really bad. I bought some food and found a hair strain in my food, I went back to inform them and there was no apology for it and no accountability either. First of all the service was so bad you'd think you would not want this type of employee representing your business or your good name...She was an elderly white haired maybe Jamaican woman running the place.When asked, are you Donna and the employee responds, No and I wouldn't want to be, and the end result is , she stated very rudely, Im only here to get paid. The food was great, and my Jamaican boyfriend brought me in to try Ox Tail for the first time.. but your employee represented you poorly. You went from a 9.9 to a 0.5( And Im being generous.. Word of advice Hire a new head employee to head this establishment at the pompano location... I was talked to rudely and disrespected .. My first time there with a friend and won't be returning!!! Jerk chicken dry, rice and beans also dry, oxtails and curry goat were still tough. Do not recommend to eat here .

Food was fresh and was seasoned so well. Great service and loved that they give gravy over the rice. The restaurant was clean and had a good drink selection. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend this location! read more

It said Donna's when I went there on 1/20/22 so I don't know what another reviewed is saying about it changing names. Anyway, I much prefer golden crust. It's better. read more

BEWARE!!! I don't recommend ordering for delivery or go later in day, they always run out of items that I want. Not once have I ever came and got what I wanted. At this point just save your time and go to another Caribbean place!!! Bahamian reef restaurant is one I recommend over this place. read more

I would not advise to order door dash with them. I ordered a large curry chicken with rice and peas and I large brown stew chicken rice, peas and steamed veggies (they don't have an option of only rice and peas) and in the comments I put call if they don't have anything . My total was $36.26 however 10 mins later I got a text saying my order has been cancelled and a full refund has been issued and in the email sent they said they was out of curry chicken. Well another 5 minutes a got another text saying I will be refunded $17.21 for my curry chicken instead of my full total and when you try to call no one answers the phone in which I called five times. I had to contact door dash to get my full refund because one they cancelled my entire order instead of calling to see if I wanted anything else and two they originally stated I was getting a full refund but turn around and say they are only giving a partial payment. This Isn't Donnas, It is Denise's, and Its now called the Jerk Kitchen. So I don't know if the last review is in the right place but Denise is amazing the food and the service is excellent and made with love and not only that but the lunch special is 4.99 with a free can of soda. How could anyone pass that up for a good amount of food too! read more
