This place has been around for along time and I've had their food at events, to which they catered it from Lucky City. We decide to make the drive and actually sit down and try them and it was just not good. We ordered wings, fried wontons, and a few of their specials and it jus was not good. With under or overcooked. Bland tasting. They didn't even have proper plates to eat in for diners, we ate in styrofoam take out containers. The water they served was a warm, like it had been sitting there all day.

Ron has been holding it down for the island community for a good 15+ years now. The food has always been good, top notch. I do have an issue with the Guyanese style fried rice. It's not authentic anymore and no cabbage and the slide of tomatoes added to the dish anymore. "Chicken in the Ruff" ;(. Use to recommend this dish to everyone. The curry is Guyanese flavor. The Roti is like the ones your mom made. All of the traditional dishes are on point. Oh, and they do Sunday Brunch, you'll need to bring an empty belly for that.

I drive from Wellington to Coral Springs for this food. The best Trini style Chinese food available and yes I've had others. Don't hesitate to, just go.

It was so delicious I didn't even have time to take a picture of all my food. And that says a lot because my camera always eats first. When I walked in I was greeted by a sweet lady who was prompt to take my order. I ordered patties, Rasta pasta, jerk chicken, and festival. The rice & peas fluffy and great! The jerk chicken was probably one of the BEST I have ever had seasoned to perfection the chicken was falling off the bone. I loved how they put a jerk sauce on the side to drizzle on the chicken. The cabbage and plantains were good as well. This Rasta pasta chicken was from another universe. This pasta was AMAZING!!! They had 2 heat levels and I got the spiciest one. If you LOVE spicy get the spiciest it will have you in heaven. The festival was also great as well it was fluffy and a bit of a sweetness! I truly loved everything we had!! I did do take out but the inside of the restaurant was clean and bright. I can't wait to go back!!!! I'm definitely going to become a regular. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU LOVE FLAVOR!

The ambiance is that of a fast casual restaurant with and order counter and tables lining the outer perimeter of the restaurant. There are TVs playing as well. The service wasn't particularly friendly, the two ladies up front seemed more interested in chatting than helping me with the menu. The lunch special came with a soda but they do not offer diet soda and they will not substitute bottled water. I walked in for pickup, and the two lunches probably took 15-20 minutes to be prepared. My husband got the griot, which was flavorful but dry. I got the stewed chicken which was slightly overcooked and underseasoned. I did enjoy the fried smashed plantains, but the rice and beans tasted weirdly ashy? We barely touched those. The pikliz was only ok. Overall, I would not return as I was disappointed.

Never in my life would I accept such attitude. I go up to order and boric the lunch specials went up to $8.99 with a drink... Kaya bagged up everything and handed me. No drink cup... when I asked for the cup she very rudely told me the machine is broken and they're not giving out drinks! Any business that wants to stay in business would realize when something is out, FIND A REPLACEMENT TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY!!!! There was a fully stocked refrigerator with canned drinks, why not offer those I asked Kaya... the response was that the offer is only for fountain drinks. Absolutely repulsive attitude & by the looks of the establishment, I am not the only one who won't be returning back! Your owner should be ashamed to have such representation of their business and if it continues I would be glad to see this location closed.

It was my first time coming here, and far from disappointed…read more From the outside the place looked really well kept, and clean. As I entered, Justin, "the boss man" greeted me, and I mentioned to him that I had just called in an order, for just 3 roti. Justin was super friendly, and cracked some Guyanese / Trini jokes with me, asked me what curry I'm having the roti with, "chicken curry, or curry chicken", well being Guyanese, it's chicken curry of course. The roti was made to order, so they were steamy hot, and smelled just as they should. I also picked up 2 different pepper sauces and a couple bags of Guyanese chow mine, everything was about $40, not a bad deal. This place is a little out of way, but honestly with fair prices, clean environment and a friendly owner, it's worth driving the distance for quality items that are fresh also. I'll definitely mark this down as a go too for quick Guyanese/ Trini dishes.

Every now…read moreand then I would have a craving for some roti or curry potato, but at the same time I am not willing to drive so far for it. Located in the Coral Springs Plaza, Priya's Roti Shop has the look and feel of a true West Indian shop serving homemade Trinidadian foods such as various curry or stew meats, cook to order roti (paratha or dhalpourie), phoulourie, bake & shark, doubles, and so much more. There's also homemade sweets & beverages, as well as various bottles of hot pepper sauce, spices, split channa, kuchela, and other Caribbean beverages. I was greeted by a gentleman with a nice Trinidadian accent. I kindly asked for a menu while he tended to the other customers. The prices range from low to moderate. Lord I wish I could get a bit of everything off the menu, but I will just stick to what I mainly wanted - roti. When the gentleman was ready to take my order, I told him I wanted boneless curry chicken which was served with my choice of dhalpourie roti and curry potato. I also ordered six doubles and a bottle of mauby. There was a bit of a wait cause the roti had to be made, which I didn't mind at all. Then he made the doubles. I watched him as he laid down two bara (flatbread) then scooped some curried channa (chick peas) on each, topping them with tamarind and cucumber chutney. Once the food was ready, I took everything to an available table and your girl was in foodie heaven. I started with one of the doubles which was absolutely delicious! The flavors of the curried channa and both chutneys complemented each other nicely, and the barra had a yummy texture...moving on...the curry chicken and potato was also delicious and flavorful with a mild pepper kick. At times I broke pieces of the roti to pick up some chicken and/or potato like a true islander. The atmosphere was truly relaxing with Indian music softly playing in the background. I was casually drinking the mauby which was lightly sweet and refreshing. I am definitely looking forward on coming back to try other foods, especially the bake & shark.

My experience at Delish was disappointing…read more I ordered the griot goat, and unfortunately the meat was so tough that I could barely chew it. I had to send the meal back and have it replaced. I also want to confirm what happened with my husband's fish order because I was sitting there and heard the conversation myself. Before ordering, my husband specifically asked the server about the price of the fish. I clearly heard her say **$15, $16, and $17**. My husband even questioned the price because my meal was quoted at about **$31** and our friend's meal was about **$28**, so he wondered how the fish could be less expensive. At no point did I hear the server explain that those prices were **per pound** or that the fish he selected would end up costing **$77.52**. Had that been clearly explained before he ordered, my husband would not have ordered the fish. The two meals I was paying for were quoted at approximately **$31 and $28**, or about **$59 before tax and tip**. My final card charge was **$90.15**. My husband's fish was billed separately at **$77.52**. When the issue came up over the price of his fish, I ultimately paid for his meal as well because I did not want the situation to escalate. We went there to enjoy an evening out, not to argue over a restaurant bill. For me, the biggest issue was communication. If a customer specifically asks the price before ordering, especially for an item priced by weight, that should be clearly explained before the order is placed so the customer understands approximately what the final cost will be. Clear communication about the pricing would have prevented this entire situation.

At one point Yelp even had them listed as closed but now I see that they are listed as being open again. I ended up visiting Valecias for a friends Saturday night birthday party. I walked in at 9 PM and it was pretty much dead. There were a few patrons at the bar and it was very quiet. Our party had a small raised area with couches above the dance floor which provided comfortable seating. Later on in the evening there was a DJ and things were a little more lively but not by much. I checked out the menu and it seemed very expensive so I stuck to the party wings and fries. Some of the guests got drinks at the bar. The party was still going strong when I left at 1 AM. I honestly didn't know there was any place in Margate that was open past 11. I am not sure how long they can stay in business with so few people but for now they are definitely open at night and there are a few people who come in to sit at the bar in addition to whatever parties they are hosting.
