I have been a loyal customer since the beginning (at least 5 years) and have witnessed his growth in business. Not just any other food spot. He is one of a kind. You can tell he loves what he does. He makes sure his customers are well taken care of. Fills the entire to go box so you will definitely have leftovers if you don't eat the entire plate! It's definitely worth a visit. I used to be a pompano regular however I moved out west and will still drive to him when I am craving some jerk food. Malvo is a good person aside from business. The lights and music attracted me to the truck. Menus are displayed well. I had a fruit punch while waiting for my order, refreshing. The meal was delicious. I had oxtail with cabbage, rice and peas. 10/10. Tender meat, perfectly seasoned sides. I ordered additional side of Macaroni, don't order this if you're not used to Jamaican mac. I won't detract from the stars because I know better it's just not their best dish 4/10. I will definitely go again and try different meals. read more

When I saw Lindsay Y's review I was really excited to try this mobile jerk barrel. Dudes location was not near me, but tasty jerk will make me travel any distance. When I arrived dude was nowhere to be found. So I called the number on Yelp and he said he was doing an event about 10 minutes down the road. So I got back in my car and drove to the location dude told me. When I arrived the dude was friendly, and he had some a pretty blond working with him too. But unfortunately the jerk chicken I ordered was very dry, I can't even pinpoint the taste, because all I remember is dry chicken. I threw it in the garbage. The mac & cheese I ordered had this weird burnt smell, really weird, I threw it in the garbage too. I ended up getting take out at Mission BBQ. read more

MAD RESPECT to the Jamaican chef with mad skills on the grill this BBQ is the real deal. Found them on yelp and will definitely be back for more. Don't let the double smokers under a tent in a convenience store parking lot fool you. Step on up an order some of the best BBQ I've had in a long time. To start, the meat has obviously been smoked all day but not to a point that it's dry. This man puts on his secret sauce and a little heat at the end and it only got better from there. Started out with chicken and ribs with mac & cheese along with red beans & rice and was not disappointed. The mac had the big noodles with tons of cheese and beans & rice were nice and flavorful with none of the rice dried out. The Jamaican spices are definitely what made it all happen! Very disappointed, I went to work today looking forward to having the leftovers from last night and when I opened the box I realized my wife ate all the Mac & Cheese. Cold Pork & Ribs!!! This food truck is L I F E. Being from Chicago which is a food MECCA, it's been challenging to find solid food in FL. I had my doubts and even expressed them to the owner, but in the end I placed my order. I told the owner if I like it, I'll tip you a $5 (food was only $15). I'm a man of my word. I scarfed down the garlic shrimp dish with rice, beans and cabbage, walked straight to his food truck and tipped him. I understand food can be hit or miss - especially in FL - but this man knows what he's doing! If you spot his truck, post up, wait a few minutes and get a solid portion of Caribbean soul food. Ribs and chicken done very well. Sides...meh. Waste of your box space. Get the jerk sauce for everything. Both mild and spicy have good flavor. The bbq sauce you can buy at Publix, literally. Plenty of meat for the prices too. read more

What a gem!!! Excellent Jamaican food and superb service! It definitely tastes just as good as it smells! Found it on the corner of Atlantic Blvd and SE 28th Ave.. ohhh am i glad I stopped!! We tried the Jerk chicken and BBQ ribs... DIVINE! The meat was tender, perfect amount of spicy, juicy, and fell off the bone. Prices were very good and the customer service was top notch. Visiting from the east coast we were quite excited to see an advertisement for jerk and curried...pork, chicken etc that we turned the car around to head back and look. Not a big fan of peas and rice, we opted for jerk pork and the whole snapper including veggies- steamed cabbage and mixed veggies. One dinner we did ask for Mac and cheese. We made a mistake by not checking the order before we left. We got home and had loads of unrequested peas and rice. Neither steamed cabbage or mixed veggies were included. The jerk pork didn't taste like jerk and for the snapper- we were looking forward to eating....it is still creating a stink and this is after we threw it away. It was definitely old frozen fish. What a nice treat to be on our way back from a scuba trip and we see Malvo's chill spot and decide to stop and chill. First off great vibes, smoker smells awesome, little area to have a picnic and chat while he is preparing your plate. Nicest guy Malvo his happy cool spirit brings you back to the islands, I told him all we needed was dominoes and can you believe... he had them! We were across the street at happy hour and were lured by the smell of the smoker. After risking our lives to cross the four lanes of traffic, it was well worth it.
