I had a very poor recent experience with RC Auto. In 2017, I leased a 2017 Nissan Altima from them. They got the vehicle for me from Avondale Nissan. When I signed the paperwork for the deal, I knew I wanted to buy the Altima outright once the lease was up. According to the terms of the contract I signed, I could buy the car for $12,250.08. Bear in mind that this was the only contract I ever saw or signed. This was up until a week ago. At that time, I got a message from someone at RC Auto to get in touch with one of their sales reps, who turned out to be the owner of the company. He forwarded me the contract from Avondale Nissan. I had *never* seen this contract. No one informed me about this until I let RC Auto know that I wanted to buy the vehicle. The difference that I would have to pay according to the Avondale Nissan contract was $264.98. To me, this was a classic case of bait and switch, not to mention outright deception from RC Auto. I made several attempts to discuss that with them, but they have refused to talk to me about it or email me. So I got in touch with Avondale Nissan today and will deal with them, no thanks to the deception from RC Auto. read more

Best car buying experience EVER! I will never buy a car from anywhere else. This place is amazing. In an industry where you have SO many scum bags trying to make a quick buck, RC Auto is a breath of fresh air. I was introduced to RC Auto through the credit union I bank with. I searched there website and found a car I was interested in. I called and they were very friendly. They gave me all the information about the car and then gave me the choice to come down and take a look at it or they would bring the car to my office for me to look at. They brought the car over to me. I got to take the car (by myself) over to my husbands office and we both got to look at the car and drive it without anyone around. It was so nice! Well we fell in love with the car. I came back and told them I loved it. While I was driving the new car they inspected my old. They then took the new car back and called me within 2 hours to give me a price on my trade and follow up. They never once pressured me or asked the dreaded, "what can I do to get you to take this car home today". The next day I told them I wanted the car. They came to my office and we were able to sign the papers and they took my yucky old trade in away and left me with my beautiful new car. They gave me a great price for my trade-in and the new car came in priced at private party blue book value! The service was amazing and the experience was not stressful at all! We got our used Honda Pilot from RC auto in April of 2010. The experience could not have been better. I recommend RC auto to anyone buying a new or used car. They are professional and friendly - no pressure. I emailed what I was looking for they sent me a few selections and then I made an appt to test drive them. The vehicles are kept in a large garage and they let me take them each out on my own. When I got back and let them know my preference, they let me know the bottom line price and then sent me on my way with the papers to have my husband who was not there at the time sign them, they then brought the car to my place of employment and everything was done... I keep reading raving reviews about RC auto and Roger Camping but my experience was very different. Yes, Roger appears to be very pleasant and is quite eager to share how he came to be such an "honest" car salesman. He "educated" me about leasing,etc. He was quick to advise me that it did not matter which car I purchased as his fee of $893 would not vary. He was also quick to advise me that the $893 was added to the "invoice" price and I should feel free to call/e-mail with any questions I might have. I knew exactly what new Lexus I wanted and would pay cash for it. After our meeting, I e-mailed him to ask him how the invoice price was determined and knowing that auto companies have rebates, did this include this. I never received any response after several e-mails/txt msgs. I then txted and said that since I was close to buying as my present lease was coming due I would need to meet to get a price. Imagine my surprise when 3 days later I received a "dear John" letter advising me that if I were looking for the lowest price in purchasing my new 2018 RX350 FSport, he would have to bow out. He then proceeded to tell me that a Lexus dealership would try to add all these options I did not need and charge for them. I just wanted a price. I could not get a price from him. When I responded with my surprise-again no response. That was my experience. Very unprofessional. No response to my questions/calls/test msgs except for the one which was a "dear John" letter. I am not sure why he would turn away a cash paying customer. I am a professional (Medical Doctor) and Roger and I spoke how word of mouth was the best advertisement a business could get. The opposite is also true. I cannot recommend Roger or RC auto. He could not even give me the courtesy of a response as to why he "dismissed" me. read more

Long OVER DUE Review: I was perusing the review for RC Auto and Craig in particular, for it had been a long time over due, to write my own review that is! My family and I and over a dozen friends now including expats from other countries have used Craig and now Mandy for over 18 years! We bought our first vehicle, a Toyota Rav4 and we STILL have it; then went onto a Nissan Maxima and now we are in possession of a Ford Edge along with a Toyota i'M. NEVER have we had a complaint, on the contrary, Craig and Mandy have given us the ULTIMATE customer service. For our Nissan we were unable to meet up with Craig and so he volunteered to drive the car to us to test it. Then there is the time he helped a young woman starting her career (a very close friend of mine) from Alaska now living in Washington purchase her very first car and she still talks about the incredible positive stress-LESS experience she had with Craig. That was 6 YEARS ago! He was also kind enough to help foreign students whom I had met and were studying in California, because they needed someone to trust to buy their cars cash. He took a great deal of time to help them through the American process of buying a car and even guide them in terms of auto insurance (Thankfully he and his team have licenses to offer their services in CA). The other favorite story of mine is when I called up Craig to help me help an immigrant family from France, who had of course NO American Credit history, and even with their Green cards they could not get ANY car loan anywhere no matter how significant their deposit was. BUT THEN, there WAS Craig - with a solution, also because he trusted me, he new he could trust this couple, and so, he moved the Earth not only to help them get their first car in the US but most importantly he succeeded rather quickly to find a bank that would secure them their FIRST AMERICAN LOAN...I still remind them how very FORTUNATE they were to have RC AUTO and Craig on their side, because I know all too well how hard it is to buy any such large item with no credit history as a foreigner. My last favorite story is that I often am asked by strangers in parking lots if I want to sell our beautiful Fire Bronze Edge or the Toyota Rav4 - both are such reliable cars - of course my answer is no, BUT i willingly give out Craig's contact information at RC AUTO ...I have done so, with NO hesitation and continue to do so, for now ver 18 years. Some have asked me if I get some sort of kick back - my answer: YES, absolutely - BEING KIND and HELPING ANOTHER SOUL is my motto and in this case, guiding others in their quest to purchase or even leasing a car via RC AUTO - a trustworthy company along with the ultimate professionals such as Craig and Mandy worth sharing the information. Our long time experience with them has ALWAYS been (for my family and our friends) a simple, easy, non-stressful and even efficient experience - NO surprises, no extra costs...etc. Even their auto maintenance service excels in time and efficiency! I want to thank Trevor Skoro for assisting our family with the purchase of a wheelchair accessible van for our father. Our father had a severe stroke a year ago and has not been able to go many places, as he is paralyzed on the left side of his body. Trevor found us the van and had it assessed and ensured the mechanics of the ramp and all parts for the wheelchair were in great condition. He also had it shipped to Michigan where my brother and my Dad live. This saved my brother the hassle of looking for a van and the worry of making sure the ramp on the van worked. I am very happy I just bought a 2015 Toyota Camry from RC Auto (Mandy Rozen, sales). I have confidence there is no mechanical problems with it, which was my primary concern. I wanted a reliable car, one that doesn't have known problems, avoid a scam. After spending months looking for a car on dealer's websites and other car sites, and avoiding a close call on Craig's list (my bank pulled the car fax report which conflicted with the seller's story about no recent maintenance work or repairs) I almost gave up and bought a new car. I've been a loyal Jeep driver for about 15 years. I love Jeeps, but my Grand Cherokee (while still in great shape) had just turned 8 years old and I was in the market for a new Wrangler. My first stop was Airpark Chrysler, Jeep, Fiat and, although they had the exact model I was looking for in stock, the experience was everything you hope car shopping WON'T be. High pressure, dishonest and deceptive terms, and a crappy offer on my trade. Afterward, I relayed my experience to a colleague at work who had just bought a Jeep from RC Auto and he pointed me in the right direction. I called RC and set up an appointment with Roger. A few days later we met in his office and, after I told him about my experience at the dealership, he took the time to tell me about his business philosophy, and he then walked me through all of the financing and purchase options. After asking the right qualifying questions, we arrived at the right structure for the car I wanted. The interest rate, structure, and his fees were clearly explained and extremely fair. We then set about building the car with the exact options I wanted. Unfortunately, a Jeep with that trim package and options would need to be ordered and would take 6 weeks to arrive. However, I wasn't in a hurry so I decided it was more important to get the exact car I wanted vs. having it now. That said less than a week after I placed the order, Roger contacted me and said that a luck would have it the exact car I ordered would be arriving in a few days, so if I wanted I could take delivery sooner. Sounded great to me, so I said lets do it. However, I had expected to have 6 weeks to decide what to do with my current car, so I asked Roger about trading it in. He said, he'd be happy to help and we set an appointment for him to appraise it. I brought it in and they inspected it and took pictures and then contacted 3 different dealerships to get bids. In the end the highest bid (which I accepted) was $1,500 more than what Airpark Jeep had offered. At the end of the day I got the EXACT car I wanted in about two weeks and I saved literally thousands of dollars vs. the screw job Airpark Chrysler Jeep tried to stick me with. I'd also note that everyone I interacted with at RC Auto; Bethany, Roger, Bob, John and Melissa were professional, courteous, and honest.
