I will say the people there were very kind, and the man that took my order did grill another hot dog for me, but it didn't improve the taste. My husband ordered a hot dog, fries and a drink. I had a hot dog and drink, and we were going to share the fries. I took one bite of each one and threw it away. I ate a couple of fries, which were not crispy or tasty at all, and didn't eat any more. We left the cafe and will not be back. I really do not see what people like about the food, at least not the hot dogs. They tasted like the hot dogs I had as a child and my mom would boil them. Even the bun wasn't good. I had mustard, ketchup, relish and onions on the hot dog so I could taste the hot dog. Really, how do you RUIN a hot dog? I guess by boiling it! Okra with your hot dogs? Makes no sense does it? The dining experience hasn't changed much. They charge for refills because they still don't have a soda fountain and them buying in cans is more expensive for them. What they should have done was invest in a soda fountain - instant and consistent profit!!! Would have made a much better business decision than removing items your customers liked from the menu. Though I declined to dine here this time due to this (someone wanted wings so we went, I wanted loaded onion rings), they do have decent food where it counts still. I drove from the airport area to the meat packing plant and picked up a 2lb pack of center slices and should have gotten more. This is some of the finest country ham I have ever ate.
