I have been coming here for years, but today is likely the last time i ever will. Semi-decent food but WAY too expensive, especially for what you get. Went to order just 2 plain grilled cheeses, nothing else. Not a plate, not a side order. Nothing but 2 simple sandwiches. They said my total was almost $12 which is absurd. Whoever owns this place is greedy as hell and has been for a while now. First off, when there is a menu as long as a short story in a magazine, you know the food will be subpar. A lot of restaurants have a habit of over cooking their mac & cheese when it's baked mac & cheese. This is because most don't have the sense to know to undercook pasta because it will continue to cook when you have it in the oven so if the pasta is cooked through, and then you put it into the oven, then you are going to overcook it, guaranteed. Next step is the gravy. I have mixed feelings on it because I understand instant gravy and if you choose one with decent seasoning, you can come out on top nicely however I don't do instant potatoes. That's a travesty. Next step is the broccoli casserole. This is probably one of the most disgusting things that I've ever had the displeasure of tasting. It would probably have tasted better if they took steamed broccoli and threw it into a food processor with stovetop cornmeal dressing. It was completely inedible. The rice wasn't bad, but it really had that instant rice taste. It wouldn't surprise me at all. It's not difficult to have a rice cooker on hand. Now I can't really give the cornbread a bad rating because I feel like cornbread is one of those things where it's really just up to the individual. Some may like that crumble apart sand tasting cornmeal but it's not for me. I enjoy sweet, moist cornbread. So I'm gonna give theirs a 3/5, since it was actually a good middle of the road between dry and moist. I didn't fly apart into 1 million pieces and it was also sweet tasting. Everything else... well let's just say that I actually did try to give some to one of my dogs and he wouldn't eat it. Of course I'm talking about the broccoli casserole. I've come here before and had things that were decent, but nothing to write home about. Subpar at best, but I remember the service always being decent which lands them two stars. Been going to this restaurant for almost 8 years. Today was our last time. The tables were sticky, the S&P shakers were caked with food. Had to get our own napkins and ask for silverware. And then we ordered. I've gotten the Tuna in a wrap for 8 years with no problem. Today the waitress comes back to tell me that the cook said they can't make it. I asked "No tuna?" or "No wrap"? Nope, they had both, just don't put them together. I could get a Chicken salad wrap but apparently, the kitchen is unable to do the same thing with Tuna salad? They can only do Tuna on toast. Between this silly and unbelievably asinine "rule" and the filth, we won't be back. read more

I come here every week if I am trying to go by there right before they close I always try to call ahead. 15 mins til close lady said we aren't taking orders by call in but if you can make it through the drive thru by 9 you can place your order. I was 3 mins away and as soon as I pulled up they turned the lights off and said we are closed. This place is a joke! read more

I Placed a $46 order through Grub hub last night & was very disappointed when I received my food. I ordered a Jumbo Shrimp plate & a Bacon Cheese Burger plate with a gallon of tea. As far as condiments for my entire order I was given 3 packs of ketchup. Needless to say I was unable to eat my shrimp plate because I had no cocktail or tarter sauce for my shrimp & hush puppies, and certainly not enough ketchup for the huge plate of fries I had. My son enjoyed his burger and I must say they do load you down with food but unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy my dinner last night because I can't eat dry shrimp, hush puppies & French fries. I wish I could give it a 3 and a half stars. It is not quite a 4 but definitely better than a 3. I am going to go with three because of the ketchup. The good: The food is cooked very well. The service is great. It has a real homey, small town feel to it. Everyone seems to know each other. The bad: The food is very institutional. I doubt if anything is bought fresh. Think canned green beans and frozen okra. That being said, they do a fine job of cooking it. It is well prepared cafeteria food. The ugly: They reuse ketchup bottles. They use cheap ketchup and refill squeeze bottles seemingly dozens of times. There fries are crispy and tasty. Would be great to dip them in a little Heinz. read more

Went by to grab food for the family tonight. Grabbed two kids meal they didnt give me my drinks. ordered ranch and BBQ they gave me some tartar sauce and the guy who brought my food to the car dropped my BBQ sauce then proceeded to hand it to me covered in GOD knows what. i proceeded to call once i got home staff was rude management was rude no apologies given. I cut my loses and will never return to this place again. We use to visit weekly never an issue. Very dissapointing read more

Met my sister here for lunch a few times (she lives nearby). The food has been consistent each time which is a plus. I usually order the cheeseburger club. Good size sandwich with just the right amount of lettuce, bacon, tomato and mayo to go with the burger. Always a good portion of french fries. As another poster said, some Heinz would be great for the fries. Have had no complaints within timing of service. Could be slightly friendlier tho. read more

This is a good restaurant I eat there every Friday. I don't have to wait long for food and it always seems to be right.

Personally, I really like this place. When we don't want to cook at home. They have a very good menu and are very consistent. This time I had the Philly cheese steak and it was so good. Food once was good, but no more. Tried 2 times in last 2 weeks. Last time was lunch today. Food was not fit to eat. Left 3/4 of it on the table when I left. Ordered 2 Hot Dogs, fries and a tea. Checking out the guy said $15.50. I asked for 2 hot dogs, fries and a tea. He changed it to $11.50. Too bad. I live in the area and have went to the clock all my life. I was really looking forward to the great vegetable casseroles offered at the other Restaraunt, but they don't even have the same menu! I won't be back. Not only was the guy at the drive-thru rude he also gave us a dirty container of sauce to begin with and when we asked for BBQ sauce ended up giving us salsa instead and when we questioned him on it said no it's BBQ sauce. As far as food goes, the potato soup is pretty good on Sunday, and the grilled chicken salad is ok. However, customer service stinks. I fell on the outside walk on Dec.18, 2018. The sidewalk kind goes up and has grooves in it. I stumped my toe and fell on my face. I had 3 stitches over my eye and lots of bruises. I still have a bone contusion on my right knee and a scar over my eye.All I asked was that they pay my copays and deductibles for my ER visit, about $500. Also missed one day of work and had to make 3 trips to my eye doctor to get my glasses repaired.They have refused to pay anything and the manager has been extremely rude.Now they will be getting a call from my attorney. read more

I ordered the chicken fried chicken with white gravy, creamed potatoes, and slaw. The chicken was so dry. I was glad it had gravy on it. I thought it was going to be a flat piece of chicken with gravy. The potatoes looked like a big clump of instant potatoes. I could have made those myself. The only thing that was ok was the slaw. Will not order from there again. Prices too high for food like that. read more
