I go here once or twice a month and have never had a bad dining experience so I was surprised to see others had. That said, I usually visit during off hours to avoid the dinner rush so maybe that plays into it. Service has always been good for me. I absolutely LOVE the house salad with ranch dressing. It's so good that sometimes I actually crave it and just have to go there! I usually get the 6oz sirloin because it's just enough food for me and it's always great- cooked just right- very tender (usually always better than steaks I've had at Texas Road House). All the different cuts I've tried have been good, but I tend to like the sirloin better than some of the fancier cuts that I've tried there. I've taken out of town guests here and they loved it too. The only complaint I have is that in January I recommended my out of town sister order my mom a $50 gift certificate from here, which she did, but it never showed up. I felt responsible because my sister seemingly wasted her money on my suggestion. Disappointing because my mom also loves to eat here (she gets the shrimp and fish platter) but I'm not sure if my sister followed up on it or not. That's my reason for four stars instead of five. She was really looking forward to getting that certificate. read more

My family and I eat here quite a few times. 100 times better than the one on Haywood Rd in Greenville. The food is always great. My wife love the crescent rolls and my kids love the steaks. The inside is nice and plenty of seating. BUT, on one of our trips here we realized that they didn't put any cheese on our salads. So when we asked the waitress, she said that cheese would only be put on salads if we ask for it T no extra charge. So last night when we went, we asked for cheese on the salads and they charged us extra for the cheese. I asked the waitress why we were charged for cheese and she said because it doesn't come on a salad. I told her that the menu says the salads have ham and there wasn't any ham on the salads. Next they will be charging us to put ice in our cups! Ridiculous! read more

1st- my family and I visit the copper river grill frequently. We don't always get the best food but it's good and the service has always been friendly. ...until today... Let me start by saying that our waitress was great. No issues at all. Who I have a problem with was Tonya at host station. She was very rude and not friendly at all. I was there with my family and teenage sons. The weather was very nice and they waited outside the front doors while we waited for our table...as they've done many times here. When I said I had a party of 7 she pointed at all of us and reminded me there were only 5. I said my kids were waiting outside and pointed. You could clearly see them thru the glass on the doors. She said, well there's only 5 inside and I will not seat you until everyone is inside the doors. I asked my kids to come in and told her we were now all inside the doors and she said you're going to have to wait now. I asked her how long and she said she didn't know since we all weren't inside when we were supposed to be. She refused to make eye contact and ignored my further questions....like she decided to punish us since they were outside. She needs to realize that she is in the hospitality business so being friendly is her first priority...especially since she was a host and greeter. She failed at this and need to find another job. Great atmosphere and food. A variety that should fit anyone's palate. Be cautious as the servings are huge.

Worst dinning experience EVER! We visited the Cooper River in Greer Sc for Mother's Day. Our waitress was unfriendly, uncaring, very unprofessional. My steak was prepared wrong so I did send it back the waitress came back with my loaded potatoes that was on my plate now in a bowl and told me to eat that until my steak came out! Once the second steak arrived it was so chard to the point of burnt. My mom then said she didn't want to say anything but her steak was the same. It was sour that's how chard it was. I spoke with the manager/owner maybe did not receive an apology but did get the excuse of its Mothers Day and the cooks are tired and ready to go home and so was he! Long story short my Mom ended up with a Mc burger and I stopped at Lowes grocery and bought her a cheese cake because we weren't even offered desert just the check! I was so upset and heart broken that not only my Mother's Day ended this way but my mother's did as well who came to visit for the holiday!! I did call the next day morning ( yesterday) express my trouble and was told that someone would be calling and it is now Tuesday 5:13 and my phone still has not rung with that call!!! read more

The only good thing about this restaurant was the server and the look and ambience of the interior. The food itself was mediocre at best. The steaks we ordered for our table were the blandest steaks I've ever had. We didn't even finish them. Barely seasoned at all. The consistency was like rubber. The steamed broccoli I got with mine as a side looked like broccoli that had been sitting out for days under a heat lamp. Also tasteless. The cocktails we ordered were super lame. Not good at all. Some of the worst I've ever had at a restaurant. They came out lukewarm. Tasted gross. All three cocktails were equally horrible. Definitely would not come back. Which is a shame because the waitress, the overall cleanliness of the sitting area and the overall look of the place itself was really good. Food ok, but absolutely fuming about the 4% charge added to all bills unless cash is paid. This is not disclosed anywhere in the restaurant and unless you read your bill carefully, probably will not notice. "Cash price" is listed at bottom of bill and the 4% charges is automatically added as a line item. Really despise the way some restaurants are trying to hide these charges, which I believe to be legally questionable. I do believe that any added charges should be disclosed to customer BEFORE you order and you have an opportunity to leave. After your meal, you're stuck with the questionable charge. Really a deceitful way to do business Copper River Grill. No wonder your business has declined. We will not return, nor will our friends. read more

I am giving this 5 stars because of the service we receive when we come in. Miss April the hostess makes us feel like family when we come in and just makes our entire visit complete. Our food has always been really good but I think the love Miss April shows when we get in the door just makes our experience that much more enjoyable. Anyway this lady came up to my sister and I introduced herself and then asked our names she proceeded to take our order service immediately and then came back and said our names and do y'all need anything else our food was awesome but let me tell you something this young lady service was out standing. Never did I ever think I would sit down for lunch, and write a review about a hostess! April was by far the most friendly face! Even while wearing a mask, you can see the smile through her eyes! Not only was she very sweet taking us to our table, but I have never seen a hostess take the time to care for enough about the guests to actually check on them as well! April checked on every single table on her way to bus another table. The server was great as well, he was training a blonde girl and they both were very attentive and friendly. When servers completely ignore requests and are non-existent the entire meal, that's how you get down to 1 star. Horrible customer service. Rude management and reception staff. We simply asked IF POSSIBLE to be seated together with our party of 10, and said it was ok if not. And they continued to point out the Saigon stating parties of 7 or more weren't guaranteed to sit together. We knew that. We acknowledged that. But they continued to be ugly and rude to us. And I can guarantee we will never be back. 1-star is far too good of a rating. read more

I will have to say that I am typically not one to dine in Greer because something usually goes wrong. So we hit Copper River on NYE, it was busy but they were moving people. We were seated quickly, served quickly, and our meals were very good. I would have loved to do a dessert but was way too full. I may have to venture back soon. read more

Just what we needed tonight. Wanted to watch some of the Clemson game without a huge crowd. It was not crowded, but I do not understand why not. The bartender was very friendly, they had plenty of TV's and the food was good and quick. I had wings, a house salad and sweet tea because I drew the driving straw tonight. My wife had a black and bleu salad and Moscow mules (ginger ale, no ginger beer). The wings were cooked crispy as I asked and the salad was prepared well. I have had some salads here lately that were less than perfect. They seemed back on their game tonight. It is what it is and has a bit of chain feel to it, but I think it is heads and shoulders above an Applebee's or chili's. read more

Chicken Alfredo was horrible and tasteless.. The chicken was burnt on both sides which left a burnt grill taste in your mouth. The chicken tasted as if it came from a frozen bag. The salad is now all ice berg lettuce with a little bit of egg and cheese.. no bacon or almonds. Even the burger was burnt on both sides. What happened to the quality of food?? It use to be so good and the service was outstanding. Now the service is mediocre at best. There is no pride anymore for what comes out of the kitchen. Past experiences excellent so I dropped in at 11am to avoid potential covid exposure for lunch with my wife. Being 83, I I go early if at all and was absolutely shocked that this restaurant had no rules of any kind for social distancing. My wife and I moved 2 times to get away from hostess seating people on top of us. Got manager, asked about social distancing, he shrugged his shoulders and seated us in a corner of the least desirable location even tho less than 10% customers at this early hour. We stopped for a late lunch today at the Greer location & were so pleasantly surprised by the staff and food. Ms. April (the hostess) was so genuinely sweet and attentive that she brought a smile to our faces. Our waitress was also very good (I'm embarrassed that I can't remember her name--maybe Kristen or Kristy?). The chicken was outstanding along with the salad with house dressing. We will try to stop in again on our travels. It's so hard to find good service these days, so these ladies certainly deserve to be complimented!! Great job by all!! read more

A real shame. This used to be one of our favorite places. Not a cordial welcome by the hostesses. Waitress was friendly which was the only plus. Entrees came out about 30 seconds after the salads. I e pressed my displeasure but manager did not come out to apologize. Steak was bland and was ordered medium rare and came out medium. Fries were cold. Wife got stuffed flounder and it was fried. It's a chain. They have outdoor seating and indoor. Inside has a beautiful circular fireplace. Their house salad is superb, lots of good stuff in it. And their honey croissants are addictive steaks and salmon aren't really impressive but not bad. I've never tried the desserts. Overall not bad at all but not outstanding. Generally service is good, servers are prompt and pleasant. I think it's a bit over priced but not ridiculously. We keep going back for the salads, honestly. read more
