1/2 rack of ribs with 2 sides were delicious! Really enjoyed them and have 3 ribs leftover for dinner! Would highly recommend!

I am so glad I stopped at Pig Out BBQ! This place is just the right type of place to literally pig out!! First off they have really good food! I asked what the highest selling items were at that time and they directed me to the brisket basket with two rib-bones and wait for it... including two sides! Between the two of us we had over 2 pounds of food for around $20! It is very affordable bbq without sacrificing quality! My favorite meat were the ribs! They were fall off the bone and lick your fingers good. No extra sauce was needed and just right amount of juicy to smoky ratio. The two sides including were the potato salad and peach cobbler. So I have professed in the past to not liking desserts that much, but I had to try this peach cobbler! This place has the best peach cobbler in the state of South Carolina! I dare anyone else to say another place that makes it better! I'll go there and try it but I am confident I'll still be right. You can't go wrong here with just about anything as I highly recommend the ribs and cobbler!

Authentic and affordable barbecue with one of the best peach cobblers I have had in a long time! Seriously. Don't come here without getting the peach cobbler. We got 2 entrees with 2 sides each for about $20 total! Can't beat that! I got the barbecue sandwich plate with potato salad and peach cobbler. The pulled pork barbecue was good but a little on the dry side. I had to add some barbecue sauce to it to get a little more flavor, but other than that I enjoyed it. My boyfriend got the brisket and some ribs Which he loved! We both loved the peach cobbler! Overall, I would have to say that if I am ever in Spartanburg again I would definitely come back!

This place was good. Decent bbq. I was a tad disappointed expecting more of a calabash style chicken tender than frozen ones on the adult menu. Family friendly atmosphere. Fast service. Prices are a tad steep IMO.

Jim 'n' Nick's Community BBQ…read more Leisa and I tried Jim 'n' Nick's today for lunch. It's located on Blackstock Road and WO Ezell Boulevard in Spartanburg, SC. The venue is roomy, clean, with plenty of tables inside and a large enclosed porch. When we walked in, there was no one in line, so we didn't have time to really check the large menu boards, but we were helped by the patient lady at the counter. I got the pulled pork sandwich with Carolina gold sauce and pickles, my side was Mac & cheese. Leisa got the pulled pork sandwich with the regular vinegar sauce and pickles. Her side was a loaded backed potato. The pulled pork was juicy and well-smoked. My test is always to try the meat before adding any sauce. It was good without. The Carolina gold mustard was tangy and spicy. The potato buns were very fresh. My Mac & cheese was served hot and creamy, elbow macaroni with a white cheddar sauce, regular cheddar crusty top. Leisa's potato was huge. Very fluffy. Butter cheese, crumbled bacon (NOT bits), and chives. Both platters included a little scoop of crunchy slaw (not mayonnaisey). Before the platters came, we were served cheese biscuits. Fluffy and hot and cheesy, they're the size of mini muffins, but you can keep getting more. The food arrived very quickly. The interior was decorated with black and white photos, white tile, wood accents. Sports were playing on a half dozen large screen TVs. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The lunch crowd had plenty of tables, high tops, and booths. The menu includes, pulled pork, beef brisket, turkey breast, chicken tenders, wings, burgers, jalapeño cheddar sausage, pulled chicken, smoked chicken, fried catfish, and deviled eggs. Sandwiches, platters, or by the pound, you pick. Trimmings (their sides) are Mac & Cheese, loaded baked potato, baked beans, cole slaw, onion rings, collard greens, BBQ corn on the cob, potato salad, and a garden salad. There is also a brisket chili, pitt master nachos, loaded man & cheese. Desserts include banana puddding and pies (Lemon Ice Box, Chocolate Cream, and Seasonal options). There is also a catering menu with set combos or purchase by the pound. Basically, we'll have to go back 4 or 5 times to try a little of every thing. Our two sandwiches, slaw, trimmings (Leisa's potato had an up charge of $2.99), and two fountain drinks plus tip ran $35.48.

Service was great but you gotta order before you sit down.. which is a bit too much pressure for a bbq spot. And the lemonade was overly sweet, i'd stay away from it.

I don't normally stop my life to write food reviews, but BABY... this one earned it…read more I went to Smoking Butt Heads BBQ hungry enough for my stomach to be touching my back, and let me tell you something right now: that brisket almost made me miss picking my child up from school. The meat was so tender it practically disintegrated between my fingertips. I took one bite and literally paused like a confused baby getting tickled for the first time. My brain did not know how to process what had just happened. I'm pretty sure both the Broca and Wernicke areas of my brain stopped working simultaneously because all I could do was sit there and laugh in disbelief. That brisket had bark, smoke, flavor, tenderness, and seasoning so perfectly balanced that it honestly didn't even NEED sauce. The sauce was just a bonus. The kind of bonus you add because you're driving with one hand, steering with your kneecap, paper towel tucked into your ripped jeans, trying not to have a full spiritual awakening in traffic. The mac and cheese? Dangerous. The coleslaw? Perfect balance. The sweet tea? Southern baptism in a cup. And then... THEN... came the peach cobbler. Listen carefully when I say this: that was not peach cobbler. That was seduction in a Styrofoam container. First of all, it STILL had the nerve to be warm by the time I was ready to eat it. Somehow the container turned into a tiny portable oven riding shotgun with me while I drove around trying to keep my life together. Now let me explain something: I do NOT normally eat peach cobbler crust. Ever. I usually eat around it. But whatever kind of sorcery these people performed back there? Honey, I was scraping my fork against the Styrofoam trying to collect every last molecule like I was processing evidence at a crime scene. The cinnamon and sugar introduced themselves before I even took a bite. The peaches tasted like they came straight out of somebody's grandmama's backyard -- the kind of peaches that sit on the counter getting perfectly ripe while fruit flies risk their entire lives trying to get near them. That cobbler tasted homemade in the most disrespectfully delicious way possible. That wasn't "dessert." That was: "Go sit down somewhere after this meal because you are no longer capable of productivity." This is the kind of food that makes you understand why old Southern folks used to work outside all day and then come in the house smiling when dinner was ready. This is "big cornbread-fed" food. This is "unbutton your jeans and rethink your priorities" food. And let me tell y'all something important: good barbecue doesn't just feed you -- it unlocks memories. One bite sent me straight back to childhood memories of Brooklyn deli pastrami sandwiches on rye bread wrapped in foil, old-school comfort food, simpler days, and the people you loved sitting around you while you ate. Smoking Butt Heads BBQ isn't just good. It's "pick the meat up with your bare hands because you're too happy to be classy anymore" good. 11/10. Absolutely phenomenal. I will definitely be back.

Our drink orders were taken promptly, and when the drinks arrived, they also took our food order -- smooth and attentive service from start to finish. We started with the buffalo chicken dip with pimento cheese and pita bread, which was outstanding. The pita was perfectly toasted on the outside while staying warm and soft on the inside -- absolutely delicious. For our meals, I ordered the Down South Chicken Sandwich, and my girlfriend chose the Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich. Both were excellent. We cut them in half so we could try each other's, and honestly, I loved both. The flavors, freshness, and quality really stood out. I live in Greenville, and I would gladly make the 50-minute drive just to eat here again. Amazing food, friendly service, and a great overall experience. Highly recommend -- I'll definitely be back soon!

You'd be better off grabbing a box of Spinx chicken and a tall boy. As for the atmosphere--just a few neon lights trying (and failing) to distract from the fact that what they call "hot" is barely lukewarm. Update for the owners response: We ordered the Flocking Hot sauce on our sandwich. What we received was essentially the no-heat sauce with a few pepper flakes sprinkled in. We even asked for extra sauce, assuming there had been a mistake in reading the ticket--but the ramekin was the same: no heat, just pepper flakes. It was mild enough that my children dipped their nuggets in it. Rather than becoming defensive, it may be more productive to address and rectify the consistency and accuracy issues being pointed out.
