the driver who came to my property to pick up our antique truck absolutely was 100% knowing his job asking questions about where to back up before he did and making sure it was safe for his truck ,made sure that the truck was well established on the ramp truck , checking two times making rounds, and very polite read more

My wife's car died right before Christmas. These guys were super friendly, fast and helpful! Andrew showed up and did everything he possibly could with a pain in the ass car(2018 Honda Pilot) that doesn't have an easily accessible Neutral override. He got it hooked up and on the way after pulling out a few tricks. They lifted a huge weight off my shoulders a gave me some peace of mind right before Christmas! I can't thank them enough and they will absolutely be my first call if I ever need a tow! read more

Very friendly competent staff. Found the issue with my car and fixed it in minutes. Paperwork all digital. Love it!

Had a AAA tow today. Rays towing was great and Damian was fantastic - very professional and helpful. Damian had to wait a little bit for us to arrive - he said it wasn't an issue! Damian went above and beyond with this service call!! Thank you! Pat read more

I just want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to Ray's. I was in an accident a couple of weeks ago. They came to the scene towed my car and the responding gentleman were so exceptional. Then the days following I called the office and they were so accommodating and answered all my questions. When I had to clean out my car because it was deemed totaled there was someone to the lot within minutes to let me in. The guy who let me in helped me and even though he had another tow he had to get to gave me time to clean out my vehicle. read more

Ray's Towing Service recued me on a busy highway near the Newport Pell Bridge! Frankie was very efficient and obviously very experienced putting the car on the truck and thorough anchoring my car and taking all of the precautions. He was polite and helped me into the truck and drove to my dealer under the speed limit. As you see I am concerned with as little hassle and risk as possible and Frankie excelled in all areas with one exception he was about 40 minutes later than when he was suppose to arrive. But his performance was spot on! Thank you J. S. June 25, 2024 read more

I requested a battery check, jump, battery replacement or tow if warranted, Brandon came out diagnosed the problem, got the car started and said to keep it running for 45 minutes and then get the battery replaced. We let it run but wasn't paying attention and it died again. He came back out got the car started again and stayed with the car to keep it running while we got our stuff together to drive it to get the battery replaced. We were going the same way and at the light he even checked to see if all was okay. Brandon was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I have had other interactions with Ray's staff and they were good also but Brandon was the best. Terrific service! Thank you! read more

I was miss lead about my 50cc rules with regards to RI. The police officer was more concerned with giving me tickets than caring for my head that ended up needed 4 stitches and had a concussion. I called the towing company. They were so awesome with my miss understanding and the cops behavior. Rays made it so easy for me to recover my belongings and feel ok Christine in the office is awesome!! Thank you! read more

Car died right when I drove by Bannister's Warf to start the day in Newport. Talk about a bad start to day. Well called Triple AAA and Rays Towing showed up Sunday September 26th @2:25. I'm mentioning this detail because Liam was extremely Professional and helpful During his arrival and throughout loading the Car on to the Flatbed. He went out of his way to help and allowed me mentally to get back to what's important and that was to enjoy this beautiful day with my daughter, wife and family. Definitely recommend this Service and area. read more

I had to bring my boyfriend to Boston for surgery Of course that happens to be the day that I locked all my keys in the car. I didn't realize that when you use an automatic car starter; it will lock the car door after 15 minutes even with the keys in it. I called AAA and Ray's towing came right away so that I would not be late for my boyfriend surgery . The driver explained everything to me about the automatic starter so I won't lock my keys in my car again. I am extremely grateful for the quick response and professional help. read more

Ray's Towing came to jump my car while I was in Rhode Island on vacation. Ultimately I needed a new battery which they had on hand and installed quickly. The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend Ray's Towing. read more

Big shout out to the guys who showed up last night 1/13/2020 845 pm at the Citgo station in Newport on Connell Highway. They were able to get my Mother to a safe location at Johnny's Getty on west main road in Middletown. My Mother must have hit something on the Newport bridge and it shredded her tire. I tried to get her tire off and change it but she lost her wheel lock key. Very professional and courteous! Highly recommended, fast, and reliable crew you have! Once again thank you! read more

CHALLENGE: find ONE PERSON on God's green earth that loves getting out to their car in subzero temps at the end of a work day and finding their car has a flat tire. Can't be done. That being said ... Ray's Towing managed to make the experience pretty damn enjoyable. Bobby was my guy for the roadside assistance, and he was a tire-changing CHAMP. The guy came out much quicker than the estimated time, and his cheerful attitude helped keep my mind off the fact that valuable parts of my body were quickly freezing off. (Seriously, it was like "Day After Tomorrow" cold! Bobby was just working in a sweatshirt, too -- thanks to that "Rhode Island blood", he joked.) He even pointed out how the local potholes had done a number on my tire, and took the time to help me work out a tire-buying strategy. No joke: finding someone that funny and cool in such miserable conditions makes everything better. Thanks for the great help, Bobby! read more

Just had an unbelievably positive experience with Aaron . I blew a tire on 114 and he was there within 35 mins of my call. My truck is not at all easy as far as getting the spare out or jacking it up and Aaron never gave up. He was persistent , calm , confident , resourceful and so determined. He was like an angel today rescuing me. I would recommend him to everyone and anyone ! I'm so grateful for his great care !!! read more

Stranded in the parking lot at the vet with 2 sick, shaking animals after my car battery unexpectedly died - Ray's Towing showed up FAST! I was distracted enough not to get the name of the good humored man who showed up but beyond getting the car back and running, he did some fast trouble shooting on my engine that's likely to save me time and money in the coming months. Here's to Ray's Towing for saving today. Huge THANKS! read more

Exceptionally friendly and polite when I was broken down with my toddler in the vehicle. While I hope I don't need their services anytime soon, I will be sure to recommend them to anyone who is in need of a tow. read more

Even though they could not help me with my issue they answered quickly, professionally and did recommend another company. Very refreshing!

Superb, professional, and courteous service. Jeff (the driver) was quick, did a great job, and was very friendly. Highly recommend!

Prompt and friendly. Saved my bacon after I got really stuck in the mud. It was a two truck, messy job. They even got stuck at one point. They kept at it until they got my car though. read more

Ray's was dispatched by my insurance company's roadside assistance program, USAA. BTW, if you can get USAA get it, you will not do better. My (usually) trusty Ford Escape decided not to start (mechanical issue, not the battery) so I had to have it towed to my mechanic in Portsmouth. Jeff arrived within the hour to load her up but unfortunately I had my phone off and didn't know he was here so he eventually left. Completely my fault. I called in the request again and he returned in about a half hour. He loaded her up on the flatbed and I rode with him to Frank's Auto Repair in Portsmouth, about 11 miles away. BTW, heavily recommend Frank's, best mechanic I have ever had. Jeff and I had a great convo on the way, in particular I really enjoyed his stories from his days as a repo man. Great guy and great service considering I had to have him come to my house twice because I was an idiot. I always tip a tow truck driver but I had no cash on me that day. So Ray, promote that guy. read more

John from Ray's towing service did a great job in such a hurry. I called the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and they were they were there within 15 minute to tow my car back to Boston. This company is amazing. I have (unfortunately) dealt with them over four times. They never cease to make getting a tow/breaking down as painless and pleasurable as possible.(and QUICK!) Friendly knowledgeable staff, that go above and beyond to help you out with your situation. If you are calling AAA ASK for these guys. Kindness goes a LONG way when your in a crappy situation. Bravo to the owner (who has personally helped me roadside) and every single person they staff in their trucks!! GOOD GUYS that make you feel like family. read more

Great, friendly service. Had my car towed from my house to the auto show and they were on top, enthusiastic and super polite. Got the job done quickly and easily. Awesome service. read more

I would NEVER recommend Ray's Towing to anyone. I tried for four days to have a vehicle towed from a public housing property where I work. I had to call them every day, multiple times, in order to get an update on whether or not the vehicle had been towed. I made sure they had my phone number and asked them to call me if they wouldn't make it out or if they had any issues. Not once did they call. Their lack of communication and honesty are just the beginning of my frustration. The owner was beyond rude when I spoke to him this morning (four days after my initial request) again asking them to tow the vehicle that still resides on the property. In more words or less, he told me that he'll never have or make the time to fulfill this request. I should mention that the vehicle is located THREE MINUTES from his business. Bottom line: unless you want to be ignored, lied to and disrespected- don't waste your time like I did mine. read more
