Then the days following I called the office and they were so accommodating and answered all my questions. Ray's Towing Service recued me on a busy highway near the Newport Pell Bridge! Frankie was very efficient and obviously very experienced putting the car on the truck and thorough anchoring my car and taking all of the precautions. He was polite and helped me into the truck and drove to my dealer under the speed limit. As you see I am concerned with as little hassle and risk as possible and Frankie excelled in all areas with one exception he was about 40 minutes later than when he was suppose to arrive. I requested a battery check, jump, battery replacement or tow if warranted, Brandon came out diagnosed the problem, got the car started and said to keep it running for 45 minutes and then get the battery replaced. We let it run but wasn't paying attention and it died again. He came back out got the car started again and stayed with the car to keep it running while we got our stuff together to drive it to get the battery replaced. We were going the same way and at the light he even checked to see if all was okay. Brandon was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I was miss lead about my 50cc rules with regards to RI. The police officer was more concerned with giving me tickets than caring for my head that ended up needed 4 stitches and had a concussion. I had to bring my boyfriend to Boston for surgery Of course that happens to be the day that I locked all my keys in the car. I didn't realize that when you use an automatic car starter; it will lock the car door after 15 minutes even with the keys in it. I called AAA and Ray's towing came right away so that I would not be late for my boyfriend surgery . Big shout out to the guys who showed up last night 1/13/2020 845 pm at the Citgo station in Newport on Connell Highway. They were able to get my Mother to a safe location at Johnny's Getty on west main road in Middletown. My Mother must have hit something on the Newport bridge and it shredded her tire. AAA contacts with these guys a large adult male came to remove my tire that was flat told me it was stuck on there could not get it off I drove it to the nearest gas station as he suggested to put air in a tire that had a puncture hole realized it would not fill due to that drove it home call AAA again in the morning they sent a young man from the same rays Towing he was no more than 25 years old no more than 150 lb. And 2 Taps with rubber mallet and the tire cam right off. I don't know if the man was drunk or high just acted weird and said it wouldn't come off. Just really wanted to say thanks to the young kid that Saved my Day. read more

CHALLENGE: find ONE PERSON on God's green earth that loves getting out to their car in subzero temps at the end of a work day and finding their car has a flat tire. Can't be done. That being said ... Ray's Towing managed to make the experience pretty damn enjoyable. Bobby was my guy for the roadside assistance, and he was a tire-changing CHAMP. The guy came out much quicker than the estimated time, and his cheerful attitude helped keep my mind off the fact that valuable parts of my body were quickly freezing off. (Seriously, it was like "Day After Tomorrow" cold! Bobby was just working in a sweatshirt, too -- thanks to that "Rhode Island blood", he joked.) He even pointed out how the local potholes had done a number on my tire, and took the time to help me work out a tire-buying strategy. Just had an unbelievably positive experience with Aaron . I blew a tire on 114 and he was there within 35 mins of my call. My truck is not at all easy as far as getting the spare out or jacking it up and Aaron never gave up. He was persistent , calm , confident , resourceful and so determined. Ray's was dispatched by my insurance company's roadside assistance program, USAA. BTW, if you can get USAA get it, you will not do better. My (usually) trusty Ford Escape decided not to start (mechanical issue, not the battery) so I had to have it towed to my mechanic in Portsmouth. Jeff arrived within the hour to load her up but unfortunately I had my phone off and didn't know he was here so he eventually left. Completely my fault. I called in the request again and he returned in about a half hour. He loaded her up on the flatbed and I rode with him to Frank's Auto Repair in Portsmouth, about 11 miles away. BTW, heavily recommend Frank's, best mechanic I have ever had. Jeff and I had a great convo on the way, in particular I really enjoyed his stories from his days as a repo man. Great guy and great service considering I had to have him come to my house twice because I was an idiot. I always tip a tow truck driver but I had no cash on me that day. I would NEVER recommend Ray's Towing to anyone. I tried for four days to have a vehicle towed from a public housing property where I work. I had to call them every day, multiple times, in order to get an update on whether or not the vehicle had been towed. I made sure they had my phone number and asked them to call me if they wouldn't make it out or if they had any issues. Not once did they call. Their lack of communication and honesty are just the beginning of my frustration. The owner was beyond rude when I spoke to him this morning (four days after my initial request) again asking them to tow the vehicle that still resides on the property. In more words or less, he told me that he'll never have or make the time to fulfill this request. I should mention that the vehicle is located THREE MINUTES from his business. Bottom line: unless you want to be ignored, lied to and disrespected- don't waste your time like I did mine. read more
