Thanks for the tow! They work for AAA. They left me in the road to push my car off the street myself. They were worried I may owe one of the closed (Sunday), chained/padlocked companies on that road money! Makes no sense! I believe this is the correct Astro W service I am leaving a review for.. I was in West Warwick.. They were fast and I have never had a service show up so fast. Tray was the driver/ auto guy and he was friendly, helpful and did an amazing job giving my car a jump on this cold Sat evening leaving work. I have an electric car and I haven't ever had a problem but it was so cold and I didn't realize my charge was so low. Totally my fault. He was knowledgable and went over and beyond to help. Second time they arrive on a aaa call in 3 years and say they can't tow my car because it sits too low but yet I call an independent tow company and they able to tow it with no problem. Maybe its the old man you keep sending over 70 to a service call while snowing and to add to the insult they reported the call as resolved through AAA good thing triple A cought on to it and reversed it. Higher people that are willing and able to get people out of a pinch instead of family members who shouldnt be operating a truck period and are only looking to tow bikes and go karts! read more

I showed up at the shop without calling, without an appointment, and with no warning... And they clearly already had plenty of work to do. I called AAA to get my son's car towed from a shop to his home while he was out of town. Astro was called to do the tow. I arrived at the shop & within minutes a very friendly young man, Mark, arrived from Astro. He was wonderful. It was the day before Christmas and there was lots of traffic but he arrived at the house with the car and could not have been any more positive. My son's jeep had been involved in an accident while it was parked so it was mangled. Mark mentioned having some issues as it was being towed regarding parts that were loose. But he took care of the vehicle as if it were his own. He also took a lot of care as he removed the jeep off the flatbed and I was very appreciative of that. All in all, this experience which doesn't always run smoothly, was the best I had ever experienced and that is 100% due to Mark from Astro. Thanks!! read more

Had my car towed and when my car left I had a decorative plate on the front. When I got the car back the plate was gone. When I called to ask about it the man was rude and told me he would look but it was "highly unlikely" that they would find it. He never called back and spoke to me like I was beneath him. This fly-by-night operation apparently prostitutes its existence by parking and loitering in empty lots as well as those lots where children are bound to visit local pizza stores and pastry shops: saw this multiple times in this area. Astro's workers, including a fellow by the name of David L., have been repeatedly known to harass innocent people who need a tow when stranded. The particular incident involving David L. follows: David L. of Astro trucking - male Caucasian, mid-30's with earring and 5 feet five inches tall - harassed and proceeded to yell at customer while refusing to unload customer's car when asked for a towing receipt; David L proceeded to speed off swearing out truck window and beeping his horn throughout the neighborhood when customer was calling police to stop the harassment. Astro apparently has other complaints of a similar nature. When asked to clarify David L's actions and Astro's method of operation and customer mistreatment, the fellow who answered a follow-up call blurted out in a drunken manner, "Whatever!" and hung up. Complained to AAA who is the sponsoring company and AAA logged the complaint, advising that customers may request AAA trucks rather than third party trucks from Astro Wrecker for towing and service assistance. read more
