Waiter was friendly, but the service was god awful. Small place that seats about 35 people. When we ordered, no one was there, but it filled up quickly. Had to leave after 60 minutes because our food never made it to the table. People that arrived 20-30 minutes after us were getting their meals first. When I said something, I was told it was being made. After an hour of not getting our meal, and watching people that ordered before us get their food, we gave up and walked out. Do NOT order from this place, they call themselves Ray's Real Pizza and they are not!! Terrible customer service, rude and disrespectful! I placed an order and after waiting 1 hour and 30 mins for the food to be delivered I called for a status and my food was beginning to be packed which means that it was still not ready. When I said I wanted to cancel because of the extremely long wait the owner got on the phone and told me to never call there again and hung up the phone on me! No apology, didn't even try to explain why the food took so long. Its so sad the arrogance and blatant disregard for others...they should all take a few hospitality courses!! This is a very kind one star review. Why oh why did we go here, it looks like a bad roadside inn from outside and even worse decor inside. A relative believed the lasagna was very good so we decided to give it a try. Big mistake --Italian "restaurant" it is not. Slop it is. In short this "restaurant" is insulting. Food is tasteless, prices are expensive. If they have any sense of respect they will hire an Italian chef and get a decorator or shut their doors. The Pizza is great! One of three good Pizza joints in the area. Their Sicilian is probably The Best around. Meals are decent at a reasonable price and the owners support the community. They even participated in a charity event to help a local restauranteur who was wiped out by Sandy. If you are looking for specialty slices this isn't you place, they have more traditional type slices. read more

The pizza definately wasnt the best pizza I have ever had, but it wasnt the worst either. the box boasts real new york city pizza, but i didn't realize that meant real New York City prices. I ordered one pizza - half pepperoni, half eggplant peppers and onions. The delivery driver came to the door and told me the total of $27. I asked for 1 pizza and he said yes, I felt bad for the driver because the price isnt his fault so I still gave him a tip. So I ended up spending $30 on 1 pizza. That is ridiculous! I am extremely extremely disappointed, I ordered through DoorDash and my request was to substitute linguine for a different pasta, so the restaurant calls me back and tells me it's a three dollar up charge to change pastas I said no forget it just keep it how it is, and I said oh can you please just send grated cheese to please which normally at a restaurant would come with the meal, he then tells me he was up charging me 250 or three dollars for aside a tiny sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. I said you know what I don't want the whole order now just based on that, he said no no it's OK it's OK so I figured he was just going to throw me the cheese, and then I get my delivery and I only get my order which was probably a quarter of the portion that you would normally get. I paid 27.30 for nothing and I'm still starving and I'm a 100 lbs soaking wet. Before I eat it I tried calling them back to return it because I was going to order from somewhere else and I asked for the manager or owner they put a female on the phone and then switched me to a male who claimed I never called and spoke to the restaurant I only spoke to door Dash and it was him and he flat out lied and got very nasty and loud with me. I was really excited about having a meal here, because my sister likes the place. Very disappointing. I had veal parmigiana and the sauce was good. I have never had veal like this. Not breaded and tough. The cheese on top looked and tasted like plastic. It must have been artificial, I peeled it off and moved it to the side. The bread is fantastic and the salad was very good. My sister had fish and she said it did not taste fresh at all. The spaghetti side was angel hair pasta and I expected regular spaghetti. The whole meal came to 71.00! My sister had a bottled water and I had regular water! Very expensive in my opinion. Will not eat here again. I think they have the potential to do things right...perhaps they can get it together. read more

But I thought it was "decent". So I order a pie for my family the other day. The pie gets to my house, and it took 1 hour and 37 minutes to get here. Not only that, but the pie is ICE cold. So I call them,up, and they are good sports about it and they say they will give me another pie. Well I already ordered one from somewhere else because I didn't want to wait another hour and a half. So they said whenever I want a pie, just let them know my name etc and they will know to give me one for free. So the pie they were supposed to replace was a large pepperoni and garlic pie. So I called for the pie today, and the guy sounded angry but he sent the pie over. Now the pie gets here, it only took 42 minstrel this time, which isn't the best but it was WAY better than an hour and a half. So I wait for my mother to get home to eat, and then. I open up the pie. Little did I know.... the guy made a pepperoni and onion Pie instead of pepperoni and garlic.... omg here we go again.... having to call RAYS REAL PIZZA to complain for the second time. So I call them and the guy tells me that there are losing money because of me and my family getting pies that are messed up or taking too long so he tells me he's going to make a pepperoni and garlic personal pie which is 4 slices and very very miniature it's smaller than a small pie and he's going to send that to me after saying it was our fault that he's losing money he's losing money because of us so ridiculous and honestly I never ever ordering the spot again never ordering from Rays. done. Me and my mom usually love this place but the experience we had this past Wednesday will most likely refrain us from coming back. We ordered capachinos they used old coffee and they tasted horrible and for $4.50 a piece they should have been amazing. I ordered spaghetti with olive oil and fresh garlic it was very good and the garlic tasted perfect. My mom ordered spaghetti and meatballs. We were enjoying the pasta dishes when I see this horrific look on my mom's face that followed by her pulling something out of her mouth!!!! I was like "You didn't just pull that outta your mouth did you" and she nodded yes. It was a piece of metal like a large staple but it was twisted at the end. If that went down my mom's throat she would have died or been seriously injured. We told the waitress and she looked astonished and was very sorry , I said you didn't make the meatballs, I was assuming that is where the metal came from. The owner came over and instead of being very apologetic he acted like the metal came from us. Then he put the blame on Costco saying it could have come from there because that is where he buys his meat. He took off my mom's meal only and we certainly didn't feel like we were accomadated after that. I asked the waitress to wrap the rest of my pasta she took it and never returned, I assume she forgot or just didn't care. My mom's scary ordeal ruined our experience and we both couldn't finish our meals I believe the owner should have been more appologetic then maybe we would give the place another chance. Pasta i fagioli was delivered hot and was delicious! It was full of beans with some al dente pasta and not the other way around....it came with a great roll too. The roast beef sandwich was also great! It had baby lettuce rather than shredded wet lettuce, the roll was not some soft, doughy hamburger bun...it was a fresh, Italian baguette. This place is a great, quaint find for Italian food. Staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. Food (though I've only had a few things because I'm vegan) is always superb and worth going back for, even if you get the same thing again and again. So disappointing. I ordered a well done pepperoni pie. I've never seen anything like this before. Most of the bottom was charred. Then half of it was rolled way too thin and somehow was soggy. The actual crust wasn't cooked. I have no idea how this was even able to occur. Maybe there is something wrong with their oven. read more
