I have taken my car here to Willard's twice now! I am pretty mechanically inclined but the first time was for an emergency brake stuck in engaged and the second was for a faulty water pump bearing. having a newborn I just didn't have the time to do it! Willard's is timely thorough and affordable! the first time he had to order my part but I took it in on Friday and got it back Monday, and with the water pump bearing got it back same day! I had an appointment for an oil change. When I arrived Cheryl was distracted so I just stood there a few minutes. When I reminded her my name and appointment time, she said I would need to leave the vehicle. I reminded her I made the first appointment for the day, many weeks ago-as she suggested on the phone , she bluntly emphasized she was taking care of her "really GOOD" clients first! I repeated what she said, because I was in dis belief of how she spoke to me!!!! She said yes! I walked out and happily took my business elsewhere. I have no problem of past work, as Billy explained needed work the time before to me. But the receptionist, Cheryl was rude and nasty to the clients!! No thanks! read more

So take your car where you will be treated nicely and well as competently by Beach Blvd Plaza and stay away from Willards who are arrogant and rude to women particularly. read more

I've been using Willard's for years. Recently my son's vehicle was having power steering issues. He's going to school at UF so we took it to place in Gainesville. They said multiple things were wrong and wanted $3,000 to repair. I went to Gainesville, picked it up and brought it back to Willard's. It was only a power steering hose. Total cost approximately $200. They are always honest and reliable. read more

This shop has no clue what customer service means! The lady in the front is so rude and WILL NOT EVER give you a return call with a quote, and if you call them to ask what's going on with your car, they get upset with you. Because they are so good you do need to call ahead for an appointment. So if you do need service it is not instant gratification, but delayed gratification is far sweeter. I brought in a car that requires only (roughly) six months of more life to serve my needs. The car had multiple problems, with the most important issues dealt with to have my immediate needs attended to. The cost was more than fair, the service was excellent, and recommendations were addressed if I chose to have other issues with this car met and a plan for that (if needed) was hatched. I have known about this company in Jax-Beach for years, their reputation for quality service/fair service exceeded the result of this transaction. This shop gives me hope that good people in the mechanic world exist. I had always heard that this was a great local mechanic at the beach. I had attempted a few things on my wife's car, like changing the spark plugs, drive belts, etc., and it turned out that these were tougher than I thought. I also had a couple other tune-up tasks I needed done. So I contacted Willards to see if I could bring in the three plugs that I couldn't change (you have to take off the intake manifold on the V-6 Camry to get to the plugs) and have them install. The woman on the phone got real huffy when I mentioned it, so i said fine, just give me a quote on the replacement and charge me for new plugs. I also gave her the list of the other things i needed done and didn't mention that I had new belts too...I was going to return them and let Willards charge me their markup on parts. Fine. Never got a return call with the quote. So I took the car to Sun Tire on Beach Blvd just west of San Pablo. No problem with using my parts, the price for the work was right, they were ready for me to bring the car in immediately, no problem. Just take your car there, Chris & the guys will treat you right. Willards is great. I needed some work done on my car and feared I'd end up at a dishonest mechanic shop getting gouged. The man who helped me (can't remember his name) was very nice and upfront. He was sure to call you promptly. explain everything that needed to be done and the forecasted price and was very polite and helpful. I asked him about a different, non-emergency issue my car was having and he assured me that I could wait another couple thousand of miles before fixing it and told me what that would likely cost me as well. I called my dad and did some online research before giving him the go ahead and found that his prices were reasonable, and in some cases better than what I had found. My car hasn't had an issue since and I'll be going back this fall to get my brakes done. The only complaint I have is that the woman in the office is kind of rude on the phone. I have read other reviews on google about the same woman. She is okay in person but could a little more pleasant to deal with. No other complaints. Just one of the few-and-far-between honest hardworking mechanics. :) read more

5 stars all around - highly recommended. Having just moved to the area and having had the same mechanic for 25 years I was concerned with finding a new one. Nailed it first time out! Everyone was pleasant and knowledgeable, didn't try to sell me on extra work and was reasonably priced. The repair was completed quicker than I expected and they saved the old parts to show me the failure. As for the one complaint I see previously posted here: good shops are always busy and other people need their cars too. read more

I am so pleased to have found Willard's as I lost my trusted mechanic recently and have historically had a problem finding a shop that's trustworthy, knowledgeable & has fair prices. I recently left my car there to have an intermittent no start problem diagnosed. Billy called me a few hours later and said the fuel pump was bad, he gave me a reasonable price and I authorized him to proceed. After I picked it up I found my gas gauge was not working properly. I called them and they made an appointment for the next day, it was ready in a few hours. When I picked it up Billy showed me the old gauge assembly and explained that the fuel pump fits inside the gauge assembly & when they installed the new fuel pump that they may have damaged the fuel gauge in the process as it was very difficult to remove and replace through the small service port on top of the fuel tank.t. He informed me there was NO CHARGE. I find that admirable and something that is very hard to find these days. As for the lady in the front, she was very cordial & pleasant to me both on the phone and in person. I highly recommend Willard's for promptness, honesty & quality service. read more
