Raymond's was absolutely delicious. The food was great and fresh. The service was Ok. At arrival, one waiters took care of us and out of no where another waiter came to take our order. It was a bit weird. Food came and I had to get up and look for utensils setting, table of 4 and we didn't have any. Otherwise the experience was awesome with the food. I must say, the waiter that took over our table was very nice attentive and tried to make things better for our experience. Overall the food was A++ - Service was Ok.

Such a cute brunch spot in Ridgewood! I came here without a reservation on Saturday (party of 3) and was promptly seated. The menu has all of your classic breakfast/brunch items, everything from pancakes, omelets, eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, etc. I had a custom omelet that was packed with bacon, cheddar, and sautéed spinach. It came with a generous side of crispy fries. However, the real star of the show was the pancakes. We ordered them to split amongst the three of us and there was plenty to share. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy and sweet. The blueberry compote is a must add, it was SO good. Will absolutely be back here for brunch soon!

For as long as we had been coming to Ridgewood's town, Raymond's red awning on the corner of E Ridgewood and Oak always stood out, but with all of the restaurants in the area, it was always "next time" ...... and "next time" FINALLY came to be. We dropped in on a warm, early Friday evening at around 5:45 and the restaurant was pretty much empty, except for 2 other occupied tables. In the times that we thought we'd come here for dinner, we looked at the menu, but everything always seemed a bit pricier than we'd like, especially because of the fact that it seemed to have less to choose from. They had a "diner-ish" menu, but didn't have the full variety offering of a diner. HOWEVER, one nice surprise was that they had a kids menu, which they don't advertise on their website. We didn't start with any appetizer and went straight to entrees. My better half ordered the Autumn Salad with Shrimp, I had the Black Bean Veggie Burger (with Fries) and the kids shared a small order of Mac and Cheese and a Kids Junior Burger. My wife thought her salad was subpar. The salad was mostly chopped romaine and didn't have much flavor, according to her, but the shrimp was decent (there were 5 in it). As for my Black Bean Veggie Burger, it was HUGE. The veggie burger's flavor was good, but it fell apart within the first bite. It was like eating a giant, soft falafel that just crumbled. It was a bit dry too, so ketchup was a must for it. The fries that came with it were very good though - could have come out hotter, but still decent. As for the Kids Junior Burger, it was cooked perfectly for us as we had asked, which was medium well. I didn't get a chance to try it, but it looked pretty juicy. Our kids also loved the Mac and Cheese. I had a few bites and thought was OK. It was on the gooey side, which I'm a fan of. By 6:30 PM, the restaurant was pretty busy. Turnover was high, so there was always a few tables free, but the waiters were definitely working their tails off at that point. Service with the food was good and the waiters kept providing us with extra ketchup every time we requested for it. Overall, the food was decent. We'd definitely prefer more variety. I do know that they are a popular brunch spot, so maybe we'd give it another go around for brunch.

Loved our brunch here! I think it's typically busy but we went on a rainy Saturday and had no wait. The service was a bit slow but the food was great! We had the BLT, wheatberry salad, and the cobbler to share. Everything was tasty and it was a cozy, neighborhood spot vibe.

I was in the area looking to find a home and came across this spot on a Sunday. It was very easy to park and had a good amount of outdoor seating. The town is quiet and very enjoyable for a late lunch/early dinner. My server was great! She's fairly new at this but was kind and quick to assist. Gustavo keeps his team in order and helps out where he's needed. I had the Tuna burger. It was fresh and delicious. I think it was a bit overcooked but I didn't specify how I'd like it. The fruit wasn't too cold for my teeth, which I really enjoy. I'd come back for sure.

Entering Raymond's is like stepping back in time to a retro French bistro. The art deco light fixtures glow over the red leather banquettes and marble top tables. We had a cheeseburger with french fries, served in a silver cup and a turkey club sandwich. Food is 5/5, presentation 5/5. Excellent service.

First time here stopped in for lunch. Seated right away. Service was very good. I ordered wings for appetizers. They were really good and nice flavor. I ordered a Cheeseburger with fries. Asked for medium. Came out more raw than med. Good flavor nice burger but when the juice soaks your bun starts falling apart. Over all I would recommend if in the area. The restaurant is well decorated.

Raymond's is a local institution for higher end quality "diner" food that has been around for quite a while. Decor is old city diner with a counter & stools and plenty of white subway tiles. Plenty of street and public parking ( a 2nd location in Montclair). I used to go more often but it's been a while. Staff is very friendly, however on our recent visit, they forgot some items a few times, even though it was not that packed. OK, maybe a bad day.....it happens. The FOOD.....plenty of spins on classics dishes, many towards the healthy version while still keep it comfort food. -Their French toast is legendary (my favorite in any restaurant I've tried) and still so amazing; made on Nicolo's baguette, fresh fruit on top with berkshire maple syrup; it is a large portion and one of my favorites anywhere. I had it with the chicken apple sausage on the side which ( when it finally arrived) was just ok. The side of mac & cheese was plenty for 2 to share and very good, but not life changing. The pancakes were fluffy & light. I recommend paying the $2 upcharge and getting the fresh blueberry sauce ( if you like blueberries). One thing I tried that was sooo good was the Turmeric Almond Latte that was so bursting with flavor and creamy goodness that I had a 2nd cup. All the dishes being delivered to other tables all looked fantastic. From big omelets with home fries, to a triple decker club sandwich, even the onion rings looked seriously good. I really feel the need to go back; try some other items, and if as good as breakfast, and the orders come out all at once, a definite 5 Star.

Ok, ok, ok. I am so used to Montclair that every time I visit Ridgewood it's quite frankly a bit of a disappointment. Sure the aesthetics are the same as the original ... all that old world charm but man I was craving those ultra delicious waffles (as in Montclair) and man was I disappointed. What the heck? Who puts chopped passion fruit and litter it all over waffle? And that waffle? I could have went to any diner for the same quality and waste. The one bright spot was the huevos rancheros, they were perfect. The steaks and eggs at first appeared to be a nice generous portion but upon closer inspection it was a mirage and was lacking taste and salt. The food isn't quite terrible but it should be so much better! Btw, the coffee has also changed, not quite for the better either. I guess I'll be sticking to the Montclair location.

Brunch at Raymond's in Ridgewood. Unlimited coffee !!!! All the three dishes were great. The Raymond's omelets and added some mushrooms, the chopped salad was surprisingly pleasant. I would say that among the three, huevos rancheros was the most disappointing, but it was still good hahahaha The only complaint was that the inner lounge was very loud, as if reflecting all the sound. Next time, we will definitely request to be seated in the main hall.

Ate here on Saturday for lunch and had a great experience. It was super busy but we were still seated in less than 15 minutes. The vibe of the restaurant is super cute and it feels like an elevated diner. Our waiter was very fast and so nice despite how busy it was on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered a caesar salad and fries. The salad was great and had the perfect amount of dressing. The fries were perfect, I was originally going to get waffles but then saw the fries and they looked too good to pass up. They didn't disappoint!

I've been to Raymond's plenty of times and have always had a pleasant experience. Wait time for a table has never been more than 15 minutes and the hostess is always smiling with a positive attitude. The food has been excellent. I loved the Mexican burrito bowl with good mix of flavors. The eggs Benedict is a classic. The French toast had a perfectly crisp exterior and soft inside. For the Belgian hot chocolate id ask that the marshmallow be halved- it was tooo large.

Don't go too far, because somehow they're able to move the tables without making folks feel rushed. Each person we encountered -- the host, the folks at the counter, our server -- was nicer than the last. I got a bowl that had slightly cooked spinach, poached eggs, sweet potatoes and that GOHgeous avocado I mentioned above. One thing I really liked about this bowl is that it didn't have rice in it -- something that would've made it too overwhelming. This was the perfect combo and portion size. Someone else in our small group got the avocado toast (more avocado!!) and also said it was excellent. Definitely plan to return!

They offered two little slips to each customer - one for a savory crepe and one for a sweet and you can build you own. Great concept but it would be beneficial if the server confirmed the order because we asked for nutella, banana, strawberry, and ice cream and got 2/4. We were in a rush to leave so forgot to check the receipt to see if we were charged for the others; however it was $48 (w/o tip) for 1 panini, 1 crepe and 1 latte so a bit overpriced for the quality of food, in my opinion. The sandwich and crepe were both just okay, nothing to rave about. The drink was aesthetically pleasing with the iced Bear and tasted great. We asked for whipped cream on the latte but our server forgot that too. She also forgot to provide us water until we asked and it came at the end of the meal.  Outside dining was not optimal as it's right next to the railroad tracks and quite loud. There is a kids play area which I thought was a nice addition to the space, but I do wish it was gated off for the younger kids as it's so close to the road! Overall, I found that it was a bit overrated and underwhelming... there are so many restaurants to choose from in the area that I wouldn't opt to come back here.
