Possibly hire non licensed people. After YEARS at an upscale salon I made the MISTAKE of trying this place. She was an idiot. She bleached my hair and cut 3 inches off. I have long dark hair. It looks like a cheap color. I don't know why she cut so much but she DID NOT LISTEN. I called a few days later to have her repair the bleach job on several highlights that were obviously over processed. She doesn't work their anymore. I found Rachel on "Craigslist" FB by chance looking for affordable finds to furnish our condo. She was offering an awesome deal on eyelashes and I have always wanted to try them so I booked an appointment with her via FB. She was very sweet, on time, gentle, and very informative on how to take care of my lashes. I asked if she had time to help me with a blow out then curl my hair + I had an hair extension with me. She did and also trimmed my hair piece to blend with my hair no1 has ever done that before only matched the color when they styled it on me. Wow! She went above and beyond! I went there for a quick trim, they squeezed me in which was really nice but ended up in complete regret. I wanted about 3 inches off and she butchered my hair. no one would ever cut their hair like this. she gave me these insane layers that I did NOT want, I can't even do my hair. I won't be able to wear it down for months. I feel like she just went to town and rushed through the cut which would have been fine if she didn't chop the crap out of it. My boyfriend stopped by to see if they had time for a walk in haircut this week. It was 3:30 and there were no customers in the place. Just a lady sitting in her stylist chair. He was told that she couldn't do a haircut because she was leaving at 4 to go tanning. He asked her if she would really give up the opportunity to make money and she just stared at him and didn't say anything so he left. Two days later we both went in to see about getting my hair cut. Again, it was 3:30 this time the "open" sign was all lit up but no one was there. The lights were out and the doors were locked. I don't think this place will be in business much longer since they are never available. I went to Arizona Hair Company on bell and 12th street across from the new fry's and Tikenya was able to fit me right in for a haircut. She did a great job and I'll be going back to her for my next hair cut or color. read more

I am in utter disgust, I was disrespected by a child hating human being. I brought my mother in to get her hair done because she is not able to drive therefore I had to bring my one year old Along. Whilst my mom was getting her hair done I was waiting with my daughter by the seating area and my daughter was socializing with some of DIANA's clients. Diana approaches me with a nasty attitude telling me to stay home next time, this is no place for a child sit down and don't touch anything sit still. THAT IS NO WAY TO TREAT YOUR CLIENTS. I could honestly understand if my child was being a bother, she wasn't!!!! Her client even said she's taking this way out of proportion and when I said I will leave when my mother is finished with her hairdresser, she said to me " what are you homeless sit home with your kids I don't understand why you have to be here" GROSS!!!!! My sister, my mother and myself all are clients of one of her workers and being gracious business to this woman and now she has lost three clients bc she was in a bitchy mood. Child hating human. Went in for my second visit with Rachel to get a fill on my lashes and they turned out AMAZING. I waited 2 1/2 weeks to get a fill and they held up so well, I probably could've gone another week without a fill but I didn't want to wait any longer because she's always so booked! Just went back yesterday before I leave the Phoenix area. I love my hair! After having the style from last visit about 6 weeks ago, which I was generally pleased with, I wanted her to make a few tweaks to the cut/style. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I went on Thursday to get my hair dyed for a wedding I was going to later that day, Diana (the owner no less) was who did my hair, after being 15min late to open the store she didn't blow dry my hair, I left with soaking wet hair AND later to find out at the wedding that there was still chunks of dye in my hair that wouldn't come out, even after I washed it 3 times I still have crusted pieces throughout my hair, my roots aren't done, and some falling out. THEN I decide to go back and try to get some of my $125 back after two days. She refuses to give me a refund, says it's absolutely impossible anything was left in my hair and says she's busy. I am not the type of person who "sticks up for myself" or asks for refunds, I then ended up balling my eyes out in the store because she thought I put stuff in my own hair and blamed her. She was very very rude to me and I will never forget this experience. If you have a choice to go somewhere else, DO IT. Don't chance what I did, especially when it comes to hair. Thanks for the $125 down the drain. So awful. read more

Rachel did a Brazilian Blow Out on my 15 year old daughter and it has been the best thing for my daughters hair. Before the treatment she (we) had the hardest time controlling the frezzy and tangled mess after every wash. Now, after this treatment she can maintain her waist length, beautiful brown hair without the painful tangels and products from the past. I can't believe all the money I wasted on empty promises from other products. Believe me the the Brazilian Blowout will work for any one and is more than worth the investment. Worst customer service ever. I got my hair highlighted/ low lighted in April 2014 by Rachel. I was happy with my color and got extensions in May for $450 from Diane (Rachel's mom). I was happy with them. Then I went to get my roots touched up by Rachel with highlights and low lights. She died all my ends with low lights and none of the ends with highlights. The bottom part of my head was blonde (that she didn't die) and the top was all brown and my hair no longer matched my $450 extensions. When I called her 5 minutes from leaving the salon she said to stop back in Saturday to get it fixed. Their door says they open at 10:00 on Saturday. I waited for 45 minutes for them to open. I then decided to go to the nail salon next door. when I came out at 11:30 they still were not open. When they finally called me back they were rude to me instead of just apologizing for messing up my color. Diane chewed me out and had the worst customer service i have ever met. And when I told them I waited for them to open for an hour and a half all they said was, too bad you should have had an appointment. I TRIED BUT YOU TOLD ME TO JUST STOP IN!!!! AND there was no sign on the door saying they were opening late. They did end up fixing my hair, but i will never return. ONE Of the WORST small businesses I've EVER came across. I had been a Diana`s client for a few of years when I needed to find a good stylist to do my hair for my wedding ceremony. I was so surprised when Diana mentioned that she is experienced in wedding hairstyle and make up. I did a trial hairstyle, and it came out much better then at another place, which I have been suggested. My ceremony was at noon, and Diana was very kind to schedule my appointment early enough for me to be ready for ceremony in time. She worked with me even outside of her normal business hours! It was so nice of her!!! She did a great job not just by doing my hair and make up, but also by helping to relieve my stress and helping me to relax and enjoy my day 'X' I have a very thin hair and it is hard to make them to keep a desirable shape and do not look heavy at the same time. She did fantastic job with my hair , which stayed all day (an was ready to stay all night and the next day!). This was the worst haircut experience I have ever had in my life. I wish I was being dramatic, because I have had some horrible haircuts in my day, but this was beyond bad. I had one simple request, to make my hair even. One side was an inch longer than the other and was noticeable enough to bother me. I asked before cutting if the stylist would be able to cut one side without cutting the other (I have spent months trying to grow out my hair and even an inch is a big cut for me). She stated she would be able to with no problem. She cut some hair on one side after measuring out how much to cut. Then she asked me to stand up and we both saw that the side she had cut was now two inches shorter than the other side!! I was in shock! She had to cut all of the hair again to get it even! This resulted in a whole 3 inches off of my hair (6 months of growth- 1/2 inch a month). She didn't even apologize or offer a discount or seem sorry. This was horrible service and even worse skill. I will never go back again. I wish I could do more to warn others not to go. read more

Worst haircut I have ever had!!!! The person who destroyed my hair was named Jelica. When I arrived for my appointment she was busy getting her nails done and I had to wait for over a half hour. I got a worrisome vibe about weather to stay or not, but really needed a trim. What I got was an horribly uneven layered mess, not a trim as requested. It was so bad I cried my eyes out as I was driving home and to think I had to pay for this mess. Six weeks later, I went to Zolton's salon in Greyhawk and they couldn't believe I had this done to me, let alone wait to get it cut again. I felt it needed to grow and I was afraid to go anywhere without complete assurance of getting a good cut. So went from a disaster to a beauty thanks to Julie Sperry at Zoltons.
