    Chicken soup

Recently heard about this spot being open and decided to have date night here tonight. I like that the menu options were simple. On the table: Gobi Manchurian Viruthunagar Mutton Curry Side of white rice and 1 parotta Chicken biryani combo 5/5 Gobi Manchurian was nice and crispy. Lightly tossed in a tangy spicy sauce with onions and green bell peppers. Great starter or to go with your main meal. 4.5/5 Viruthunagar Mutton Curry was flavorful and mutton was very tender. It had a mellow flavor but we could not pin point the spices. Paired well with the white rice and parotta. 4/5 Chicken Biryani combo was really good and probably could be shared with two people. Even with spice level mild it was still spicy. The rice was very flavorful and fluffy. The chicken soup was really flavorful and spicy. Like a chicken broth that would clear your sinuses. The chicken 65 was nice and crispy like popcorn chicken. Combo came with parotta and gravy which went well together. Came with a yogurt sauce and sweet. OMG the sweet was so good! Sort of like a rice pudding with sweet condensed milk. I could eat a bowl! 4/5 Parotta is a flakey bread similar to roti but it can get messy. Overall good to pair with any meal. If you love spicy food with lots of spices and full of flavor I recommend giving Raya a try. Service was good and the employees were very friendly and helped explained what was on the menu. Parking can be tough but I found a spot on the street.

Raya is a recently opened restaurant that serves fresh, authentic and somewhat spicy South Indian cuisine (if you can handle it) in a clean, spacious space. It's tucked away in a non descript corner at the intersection of Village Parkway and Amador Valley Boulevard (next to Oil changers). They offer a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian thali for lunch (not sure if it's also offered for dinner)....I tried the non- vegetarian thali which was a tad on the spicy side (as expected). Service was quick and the food was served in brass utensils (thali + several bowls)

I loved the food there. The parotta & chicken korma was amazing. We asked to lower the spice level and they made it perfect. The pakoras were crispy and the chai was authentic. The decor is nice.

This is a place I wanted to check out for a while. The ambiance and service are both great. The food was alright. The onion and spinach pakoras were delicious. We also got utappam, and masala dosas and idli. Also got egg dosa which came in a form of uttapam. The flavors here are extremely authentic. The sambhar was ghee heavy and that's all you could taste. The coconut chutney and tomato chutney was a taste I have never experienced before. The masala filling for the dosa was extremely bland. This place is extremely authentic. They were sweet to give us complimentary black rice dessert which was good.

Food was okay, Tried their so called budget biryanis which were okay and not that budget friendly either. Its hard to find parking and service was okayish.

I found this place while searches for places to eat in Dublin. It was very quiet and clean. I tried out one of the mutton dishes and it was very filling, I recommend sharing. I believe there is a new owner, but I had a good experience.

If I could rate this place 6 stars, I would! The chicken 65 was incredible - satisfyingly tender and packed with flavor. I also had the mutton biryani combo, which easily became my favorite. The mutton was prepared perfectly; Its gaminess wasn't overpowering, but instead complemented the bold flavors of the dish. I will be back very soon!

We also tried the chole bhature, which was just okay, so I figured this would be more of a chaat and falooda spot for me. I went back recently and unfortunately had a completely different experience. The restaurant was only about half full and there were 4 to 5 workers standing around, yet no one greeted us when we walked in. No welcome, no "we'll be right with you," nothing. We stood there for over 5 minutes before someone finally came to seat us. After that, the customer service continued to disappoint. We constantly had to look around and flag someone down just to place our order, ask questions, or order additional items. The service inconsistency really stood out to me and made a big impact on the overall experience. The two lady servers seemed very untrained and unsure of how to properly serve customers. The food itself was still good. We ordered the chaat platter, but one complaint was that they added way too much of the puffed rice chaat, which was dry. If you're in the area, it may still be worth trying, just know the service can be very hit or miss.

Most Indian restaurants don't offer kids menus (or even coloring sheets), so as a mom, this immediately stood out to me before even getting into the food. We went for a weekend lunch with friends. The outdoor seating area is fantastic--spacious, well laid out, and never felt crowded. Parking can be a bit limited, but there are plenty of Tesla chargers in the area (bonus for Tesla owners), and we were still able to find parking without much trouble. We ordered lamb chops, malai chicken, seekh kabab, items from the kids menu, butter chicken, dal makhani, and naan--plus beer and a milkshake. Meats: Overall excellent. The lamb chops and malai chicken were standouts. The seekh kabab was good but could use a bit more flavor or less flour/batter. Kids Menu: Huge win. We tried Maggi, cheese naan, fries, chicken nuggets, and a mango milkshake. Everything was flavorful, not spicy, and kid-approved. Entrees: The butter chicken was amazing. Everyone claims they've found "the best" butter chicken, but this one truly stands out in the area--comparable to Taj (Livermore) and Sanskaar (Livermore). I'd definitely order extra next time. The owner is warm and welcoming and shared plans to continue building this into a more authentic, India-culture-inspired dining experience. We're really looking forward to coming back.
