Such a fun spot! We were there during the reopening from Covid and the staff were simply great. Everyone wore masks and socially distanced. We ordered flights of beer to sample and they were pretty tasty. We also ordered an assortment of appetizers that hit the spot; our favorite was the fried cheese curd. We showed up as a group of five with a baby at 6:25 this evening looking for a quick dinner. This place got good reviews and we were excited. However, we went up to the host stand as directed and were then rudely told by a woman, "we're not doing anymore tonight." Mind you she was shaking her head as she was walking up to us. It was strange because we checked beforehand and were told, it was open till eight. We were not given any other explanation. It was poor customer service. We are bummed. read more

Regularly travel to area for work (2-3x a week). Owner was rude when we stopped in for lunch. We had poutine, salad, and tuna. Poutine was terrible, gravy thin and soggy. Inedible. Salad and tuna were ok. Beers were mediocre. Friends of the owner/staff were yelling to the customers trying the outdoor restaurant across the street to "warn" them about the quality of that establishment. Maybe they should worry a little more about their own service and quality. Won't be back. read more

Stopped in with my wife and son last week. The food is excellent, way better than most brewpub fare. The turkey sandwich is out of this world. And the beer is top notch, especially the sour. Our server, Rachel, was just great. Very helpful, knew her stuff and really made it a fun lunch. We remember her from an earlier visit, where she was also excellent and especially nice to our dog, Cooper, who hung out with us on their great porch. A really great brewpub!!! read more

We absolutely loved this place. We were staying across the street and decided to explore the new brewery. The service was fantastic and bonus, the beer was actually AWESOME! Discovered on our visit to Saranac Lake.. The food was excellent. Our server, Ashley, was very knowledgeable about the beers and food menu. We shared a Greek salad for an appetizer and then enjoyed the locally sourced hamburger as well as the chicken sandwich. For dessert we had the scrumptious carrot cake. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the Adirondacks. read more

What a delightful surprise! From start to finish, our experience here was above and beyond. We were greeted promptly by the hostess, who immediately made us feel not only welcome, but was able to balance a certain casual friendliness with a consummate degree of professionalism. And while, ultimately, my guest and I chose to sit at the bar, our immediate impressions were that of an establishment that was well run. Upon sitting at the bar, we were greeted by our bartender, Austin, who seamlessly navigated the process of presenting menus, setting silverware, and gleaning a drink order. (It was Sunday, after church, we were ready for a d*rn drink!) To start, we ordered the cheese curds, the cauliflower bites, and a couple of glasses of wine; our lunch was off to a great start. For our main course we had the "Slab of Belly" and the "Smash A Rondack".... Let me tell you folks, we live in Western Massachusetts, with plenty of casual dining options, and this place balanced the casual luncheon experience, with a menu that was so diverse, so fun, and with gracious service that mirrors the overpriced and stuffy Lake Placid options. But it was our server, and bartender, Austin, who managed to not only get an order out of us, but simultaneously offered attentive, gracious, and genuine hospitality who made our afternoon so delightful. We spend half our time in the Daks year round, so always on the lookout for new brew pubs. Passed this one on way out of St. Regis after canoeing early in May and they were not open yet. Went yesterday since I was up in Saranac Lake for something and grabbed a growler of The Clink IPA. It was really good. So my wife and I decided to head over towards SL again and hit the place up for food. We each had another Clink and verified that it is a good IPA! We split a salad which was good and fresh and each had a smash burger which was good also. I had an extra beer and tried the Stout on tap. It was very good also. Service was good and everyone we spoke with was friendly. We will be back there again a few times this summer and I will not hesitate to grab a growler when passing through Ray Brook. read more

Great service, the staff was awesome at keeping everything clean and the tables were spaced out. Food was great, we really liked the burgers and fried cheese curds. We also tried the beer flights and enjoyed all 4 we tried. Highly recommend as it's better food than on Main Street in Lake Placid. read more

The outdoor atmosphere was fantastic. The drinks were good. The food was a little disappointing. I'd like to be told "we don't have fresh basil" as the description says instead of just served the meal with dried basil. Maybe that's a little picky but when I spend $100 on a meal out for my family, I'd like it to be what I ordered. On the other hand the cauliflower bites were amazing. Our server wasn't the friendliest either. I called before we came to ask if they had outside seating and was it dog friendly and was told yes. When we arrived with children and dog however, it seemed to be a large inconvenience for our server. None of this will stop us from coming back, because those who seemed to be the owners arrived with beautiful fall decorations while we were eating. They were kind to our dog and friendly. We enjoyed everything up until we left, the waitress as we were leaving was EXTREMELY rude, to the point where it ruined the whole experience for us. We wore our masks inside until we were seated and as we were standing up to leave we didn't have our masks on yet and a waitress that wasn't even ours couldn't have been more rude telling us to put our masks on. She then continued to clearly talk badly about us as we were leaving making us so uncomfortable. We unfortunately won't be going back solely because of that experience. It is so sad that as we were leaving a bad taste was put into our mouths & it wasn't even the food or drink. Very sad, especially being our first time out in a long time. I am a local person. I went with my husband to check this place out for lunch. The beer was ok- and the food alright, but for the price of the meals I was disappointed. Over $12 for a turkey sandwich?? It wasn't all that special.. it was a turkey sandwich. My husbands meal wasn't anything to write home about.. as a matter of a fact I can't even remember what he ordered it was overpriced also. I'm always hopeful for new businesses but this one is there strictly for the tourists not for locals. read more

I've been driving past this site eagerly awaiting its conversion to a local brewery/restaurant. It was well worth the wait! On offer were 10 beers brewed on site, ranging from Guava to Stout. I had the Dead Forest Stout - smooth and perfect for a warm day. The hamburger was cooked perfectly and service was outstanding. The owner and chef took the time to stop by and check in - also got a bird's eye view and explanation of the brewing process. Definitely worth stopping in - highly recommended. read more

A groups of four of us stopped in this last Labor Day weekend for some bites and drinks. Our waitress, Rebecca, came to take our drink orders and snapped quickly when I asked a question about rosé. Brushing it off I decided not to order anything because of how inappropriately she addressed me, she asked if she could get our orders for food, in which we responded we might need another minute to look. She then said "well there's an 8 top that will be going in so I would do it now." It was such a weirdly rushed comment and in such a rude way. 40 minutes go by with no appetizer, while everyone around us were getting their food. When our food comes out finally, my friend's blacked chicken sandwich was too spicy. He politely told Rebecca, "I'm sorry but this is too spicy for me to eat" in which she replied "well that's what blacked chicken is, it's spicy." Fast forward to a whole MINUTE arguing with my friend with insane amounts of attitude, in such a condescending manor, saying things like "well that is just how we make it I don't know what you expect me to do," finally saying she will take it back. Now, I've waited tables, I've had many service jobs and had bad days where I didn't want to interact with people. But this was behavior from a waitress that was unbelievably uncalled for. Luckily, the manager came over to ensure the food was being remade and apologized, which is why they're getting two stars. I rarely leave reviews but having someone talk and embarrass my friend and treat customers soaked in attitude soured the whole rest of our day. At the very least, say "I'm sorry it was too spicy! Let me get my manager" ANYTHING other than making your customer feel bad. read more

The wings were delicious. I had the burger with tater tots and it was excellent pub fare. I loved the deck and the interior is beautiful. Stopped by for a quick bite and was thrilled to have a new option near camp. Beer choices were refreshing-Subtle Surprise was delicious! My 9 year old ordered the kids pasta for dinner. When it arrived it included a dry piece of sour dough bread. I kindly asked if she could get some butter for her bread. 10 minutes later after telling us the chef was getting it the waitress returned with it. We also ordered French fries with a hot dog meal ordered. When it arrived it came with tatter tots, we alerted the waitress and she got us French fries which took another 10 minutes. A must do if you're driving through! I am a Vermonter and we pride ourselves on local and awesome micro brews. Let me tell you that this place will not disappoint. We arrived 15 minutes prior to closing, which we realized as we were standing on the front porch. I turned around to head back to our cabin but then thought let me just ask them if there are closing up shop. The staff was amazing, told us to come on in and have a seat! Staff was pleasant, very accommodating and there was no concern for "We close in 10 min". I won't say how long they stayed open to accommodate our group of 8 but let me say we were in no way rushed. They were knowledgeable about their products and weren't shy on allowing us to try different samples to find out favorites. Beer selection is awesome and they serve food also (we dint have any since it was a late, but oh by the way they have scallop fritters on the menu and I will be back to try these). Ambiance is comfortable and music was spot on. Outdoor space is great also! Only issue was no air conditioning yet (They need more funds to implement so stop in and drop some cash help these great folks out!)
