I walk in the store and was greeted by this woman but that is as far as it went. She (employee or owner) was too busy on her iPad While I was browsing the store to attend to me. I was undecided between two beautiful pieces and my husband was waiting outside with our fur baby. I come back in and she asks me "can I help you?" I stated that I'm in love with two pieces. She proceeded, to play with her iPad and didn't bother to follow through with her offer. Lady, talk to me! I then asked if she has a website prepared to make my purchase online only bc we are at our limit with our luggage, I am traveling and fly out tomorrow to WY to continue our road trip and we need to becareful to not carry more than the necessary. She abruptly replied, "no, we do not." Then I thought well let me take a picture and give my business elsewhere and she said, they don't allow pics of their merchandise and then told me GOODBYE! Hahah hahahhaha I was in shock! I didn't really tell her what I wanted to tell her. What irritated me about this experience is that for the first time in a very long time someone judged me from the moment I walked in the store. Whao! The owner Gibran started talking to my daughter about making her a custom T-shirt and she said she wanted a velociraptor on it He said " how about a T Rex?" And she said "no a RAPTOR!" He and my daughter sat down (found a raptor template) and designed her shirt and when it was done she loved it. Then next time I went in, I was shopping for myself. I gravitated towards my normal looks, then Gibran brought me a few items. At first, I was like this is totally not me, I will look terrible in this and I tried it on and boy was I wrong. Everything he brought me looked amazing. There were a few things I was not convinced about, only because I didn't think I could pull them off, but I ended up buying two awesome sweaters and one shirt. Today my seven-year-old and I went in to check out some of their new things and again Gibran helped style me. He knows that I wear tights/leggings all the time, but that I want to expand my look. He showed me pieces that I could wear with leggings and new things that were a little bit different. Not only did he do that, but he explained why certain things looked good on my body type. I bought a few different pieces, including one that I wasn't sure about last time. My 7 year old asked for another custom shirt and she snagged a cool tiger hat. I got a Phinney Ridge hat for my 14 year old son too. This is the place you can go and know that what you are walking out with looks amazing on you and It's not just some sales person saying "oh yeah you look great" when you clearly don't. Sairen specializes in Japanese, Hawaiian and local Seattle goods, featuring different brands and designers. It's not a large store by any means, but they offer quality goods and pieces that will make you smile. I love the eclectic items sold here in a range of different prices. The store is dog-friendly, and if you're lucky enough, you can say hello to the owner's dogs. Staff is happy to help and/or answer questions. While there is some of that certainly at the main shop this little store really packs it in to all of the Goth devotees out there. You can go up two different flights of stairs inside the shop. One staircase will lead you to a small space with very heavy duty Goth and Victorian style jackets for men and then the other will lead you to very nice dresses, corsets for women. There is some great jewelry as well as accessories ranging from masks all the way to teapots. It is a really cool shop and is definitely worth checking out for those into Goth clothing. This shop is on the second floor of Broadway Alley and to your left of the store and around the corner there was yet another extension store that was more rave based and had a ton of UV reactive clothes and accessories. But that section has now closed but you can still get some of that at the main New York Xchange store. Regardless of that The Cramp is worth checking out. It kind of has a tucked away kind of location and isn't obvious to find on the sidewalk but it's worth checking out!

They had a solid variety of pieces for both men and women, everything from tees and jackets to shoes.
