I was excited to check it out! The first thing I had to try was the Cubano and it was everything I hoped it would be and more. I planned to get the Platanos (one of my favorites) to go with it but Andre explained that supplier issues meant no plantains for me. While a little disappointing, this is a common issue in these parts so I went with the rice and beans instead. This was a tasty alternative especially when mixed together with the sauce that comes with the Cubano - try it! Dakota Cuban also has craft cocktails on the menu. The Piña Colada came highly recommended and they were happy to make it a mocktail for me. It was almost (ALMOST) too pretty to drink and the perfect compliment to my meal! The vibe is well curated around the heritage of the owners. You could see their passion in the decor and the food. I walked in right when they opened and within 10 minutes the place was packed with great energy. I can't wait to visit again and bring friends to try the rest of the menu! Make sure to check out the "wall of fame" and read their origin story when you visit. Follow @goaroundwithcrystal for more foodie adventures

I have walked into a few 'less than friendly' establishments in my life and the exterior gave me that vibe. Thankfully, inside is a warm and delightful business with plenty of food options and stiff drinks at a fair price. No beer on tap, but a fair variety in cans. Definitely a space to bring the family, there are two dining areas. One to the right is a long narrow space with booths on the front side and tables in a variety of four and six seating configurations. Decor is wildlife pictures and dark paneling. No windows. To the left of the entrance is the bar and another grouping of dining tables. Parking is on three sides of the building and there are no designated parking spaces. Just be sure you and others can get in and out. The building entrance is street side. There is no awning or anything to let you know 'this is the one'. The menu has a kids section for the young ones. The regular Saturday special was prime rib w/a salad, roll, potato and dessert. So much food! They also offer a couple of ground buffalo meat meals along with sandwiches and entrees. We went with lighter fare and found a side salad order gives you one walk up to the salad bar. They also have a soup & salad bar meal option. As in most other restaurants we've encountered on our travels through the area, the salad base is a bagged iceberg lettuce mix. There were plenty of toppings and salad dressings to choose. My mushroom swiss burger was tasty as were the onion rings. The burger was well cooked and not greasy. Real onions in a tempura style batter had a nice flavor and crunch. Our waitress was pleasant with all the guests and she kept a close eye on us. We had our drinks in good time and the food came in an expected amount of time. Pay at the register by the door on your way out. There's a basket of candy just behind you there (I had a butterscotch. Yum!) and toothpicks are available in a dispenser on the counter. The internet tells me they are open until 11pm.
