While standing in the lobby, I witnessed the front desk manager, Elizabeth, raise her voice at another employee over what appeared to be some type of counting error. Regardless of the reason, it was uncomfortable and unprofessional to witness, especially in front of guests. This wasn't our first negative experience involving Elizabeth. During previous stays, my brother--who has minor mental disabilities--asked where the on-site gym was located and also had a question about his bill. Instead of receiving helpful customer service, he felt dismissed. He has unfortunately become accustomed to people overlooking or talking down to him, but the way he was treated by Elizabeth stood out for the wrong reasons. While I was there today, I also overheard another employee, Sara, say that she felt intimidated by Elizabeth's conduct. Hearing that only reinforced my impression that this may be an ongoing issue rather than an isolated incident. Is Elizabeth the General Manager? If so, that's concerning. If not, I hope ownership is made aware of how guests and employees are being treated. Because of these experiences, my brother will be choosing a different hotel for future visits to Pierre.

I ordered the FBI steak and WOW... better than some fancy steakhouses I've been to. Cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Service was super friendly and polite, which made the experience even better. They also have a solid selection of drinks and a good variety of beer on tap -- definitely didn't expect that out here! Tried walleye for the first time too -- really tasty! Just a heads-up: the seasoning on everything is pretty mild, so you might want to add a little salt, pepper, or ranch depending on your taste. If you're driving through, don't miss this place!

It was, 10 ounce sirloin medium well with baked potato and hand crafted brew. Visit the "Alta Lakota museum and cultural center" across the Missouri in Chamberlin. Then close to I-90 @ exit 264 see "DIGNITY of earth &Sky" 50foot Indian maiden. At the visitor center. I would visit again. NOTE: the best level spots are occupied by long term, or summer residents, backed up to the river. There are still good spot, just have to deal with the leveling AND no TV ( Wi-Fi is available)

I have since learned that this flight, which arrives at 7:45 p.m. is often cancelled. Therefore, this business is scooping up no-show revenue all over the place. No flexibility. Now, I am re-scheduled back to Pierre tonight, same flight but I will pick ANY hotel other than this one when I arrive this evening. I will sleep in my rental car before I will give them another nickel.
