We're so grateful we chose to send our dog Nala to Saul's board-and-train program. She's a small dog who used to bolt any chance she got, and we were constantly worried she might run into the street. She also assumed every dog was a friend who wanted to play, which wasn't always the case. Saul helped her learn reliable commands, stop running off, walk beautifully on a leash, and understand healthy boundaries with other dogs. He even did a little photo shoot with Nala! The change has truly been life-changing for us. We can't recommend him enough!

We went with Saul at Ravenous Canine to board our 3 yr old Golden Retriever during a 2 week trip to Asia. Our main concern was our dog being intact and getting along with other dogs, but Saul gives each dog the time, space, and attention specific to it's needs to ensure a happy stay. In the end, my dog had a blast judging by pictures, videos, and updates from Saul. It put us at ease to know an experienced trainer was watching over our guy so we could focus on enjoying our trip. Without a doubt we will be repeat customers, whether it's for boarding or training, and look forward to working with Saul again soon!

Honestly can not stress enough how AMAZING Saul is as a trainer. We rescued a dog from the Downey shelter who was severely abused by his previous owner. As such, he was terrified of strangers, didn't do well in public, and would try to snap at random people while his foster was walking him. We wanted to give him the best possible shot at life so, we decided to give Saul a try. That was the BEST decision we made. Our dog went from being scared & defensive to confident & intelligent. We saw a complete 180 in his behavior and Saul even trained his next foster mama to be able to manage him. He truly went above and beyond for our dog-- the proof was in the pudding. A month later, our pup was adopted and is now doing so well in his forever home. Thank you, Saul. You helped us change his life for the better.

I honestly cannot thank Saul enough for the incredible work he's done with my dog, Alo! Alo went into Saul's board and train program with pretty good foundational skills, but he came back even better than I could've imagined!! His recall is perfect, his tricks and commands are so much sharper and faster, and the "emergency down" Saul taught him is still flawless to this day. Earlier this year, Saul also boarded Alo for almost five months while I was dealing with health complications and I wouldn't have trusted anyone else. During that time, he truly went above and beyond, doing Valentine's Day photo shoots, taking Alo on fun outings, celebrating his birthday, and keeping him fulfilled every single day. What really sets Saul apart is how deeply he understands dogs. He knows how to meet each dog's needs on a personal level and bring out their best. Saul is transparent, communicative, and genuinely cares for every dog as if they were his own. His fiancée, Rachelle, is also amazing (Alo absolutely loves her, lol)! But seriously Saul is the best!

It's always great, when I board my doggy, Luke with Saul. Luke is always happy with Saul, and I know he has the expertise and experience to care for me doggy. I think my favorite part is getting updates from Luke having fun. He always comes back a happy boy, and I know my dog is high energy so, I appreciate all the time he puts in his care. When mom and dad need a vacation, I always board Luke, with Saul and would recommend him 100 percent! Below enjoy some pictures of Luke splashing around!

Loved his story updates. Always had pics or videos of my boy

Maddox (GSD) is my first working dog and I was way over my head. Maddox was diagnosed with OCD (severe tail chasing) and anxiety and was on a high dosage of medication that did nothing for him. I sent him to Saul for Board and Train expecting for him to only work on impulse control and loose leash walking, but Maddox came back a different dog! He taught him to settle, took him off his meds, and his tail chasing is practically gone!!! Never in a million years did I think Maddox would stop chasing his tail. He is so much more manageable now, and Saul is always there to help us if we have any issues. I cannot recommend him enough. He gave me my boy back and was able to get him back into bite work!

Saul giving our boys all the love while we travel!

Five Stars for Everydog -- A True Lifesaver for Anxious Pups!…read moreIf you have an anxious dog, look no further than Everydog. When we first brought our dog Delilah to daycare, she was a bundle of nerves -- shaking, pacing, and clearly overwhelmed. Dave, Miranda, and the entire staff met her exactly where she was, with incredible patience and genuine care, and worked with her at her own pace until she felt safe and comfortable. We came to Everydog with a specific goal: to socialize and train Delilah so she could be boarded while we visited family in Manila over the Christmas holidays. Dave was upfront and honest with us -- when it became clear that Delilah needed more time to adjust, he advised us to postpone our trip rather than rush her. That kind of integrity means everything. We took his advice, gave her the time she needed, and by February she was thriving in boarding. That trip finally happened, stress-free, because of the foundation Everydog helped build. We also took advantage of their in-house training program, which was remarkably effective in addressing Delilah's behaviors -- excessive jumping, refusing to come when called, and reactivity. The progress has been real and lasting. Now? Delilah absolutely loves going to Everydog. Miranda told us she's been happily jumping, running, and playing with her dog friends -- a far cry from that scared, shaking pup on day one. Watching her transformation has been so rewarding. On top of everything, the grooming is excellent and wonderfully convenient, and we deeply appreciate their commitment to safety -- strict vaccination checks, clean play areas, and a well-maintained environment throughout. We are so grateful to have found Everydog for our little Delilah. Thank you, Dave, Miranda, and the whole team!

Prior to the stay, I was told first-timers get 1 week of free boarding. Knowing that we'd be out of the country for 2 weeks, this was perfect, on top of thinking the workers were nice. I also made sure they would be sending photo updates EVERY DAY via email and that there are cameras in the play area for us to check on him. As the front desk lady could tell, I made sure to make their lives easier, so I printed out 2 A4 sheets of things to know about my pup, being as detailed as possible so they wouldn't be confused about what to do since he's still a puppy. Two weeks later, we had to ask our friend to pick him up because they said no one could help release the pup on Easter Day. When they went to pick him up, both the bowl and the bed were missing, and they couldn't find them on the spot. They had to be delivered the day after, and ONLY because I made that phone call to confirm if they could find my puppy's bowl and his ginormous bed. During those two weeks, we clearly informed them that we would be out of the country and that SMS wouldn't work, yet they didn't remember until I emailed them, twice. Over the 15 days, I could barely see my pup on the camera, and I only received THREE email updates and one 10-second video of my puppy, which didn't even show anything meaningful. It felt like it was recorded just for the sake of sending something. One of the updates was also sent only after I emailed them the second time. Being told we'd be getting one week of free pet boarding for first-timers was WHY we chose to stay here. The staff also told us we could call for a refund if we were mischarged. Two weeks later, when we called, the lady told me they were going through reorganization, so workers were moving around, maybe that's why things were missing, and that the free first week only applied to daycare. I would have to speak to the manager about my concern. The manager obviously had the answer in mind and avoided my phone calls a couple of times, on top of my calls getting hung up more than 2-3 times during transfer. When she finally picked up, without hesitation to my question, she said she couldn't refund me for the first free week, but she could offer me a discount, or a free daycare day or some other discounts. Lol. What's the difference between giving me back a 1-week refund as your team promised versus a discount? Why not solve the problem instead of dancing around it? Why am I getting "punished" when your workers told me the wrong thing? Sure, you might lose a couple hundred bucks, but what's more valuable is that you're losing is a customer who will no longer trust your business, and the word-of-mouth effect that could've helped bring in more customers. As a business owner, you should understand better why pet owners trust you with their dogs and what they expect, especially in Orange County. Unfortunately, our first experience was horrendous and extremely disappointing. The level of disorganization and hassle is beyond disappointing. If you're looking for a pet boarding hotel, I strongly suggest finding somewhere else. Like the lady said, they're going through reorganization, so they might be too busy taking care of customers right now anyway.

There's plenty of room for the dogs to run around and play comfortably. What made me feel the most reassured is that they don't just "keep" the dogs there -- they actually spend time playing with them, observing their behavior, and caring about their emotions. If your dog wants to socialize and play with other dogs, they do require proof of vaccinations including Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP. They also do a simple temperament test (around 20 minutes), which honestly made me feel they're super responsible and genuinely care about the safety and well-being of every dog. As pet owners, the hardest part about traveling isn't the distance -- it's worrying whether our fur babies are truly being cared for. At Dogden, you really get a sense of peace of mind.
