The cannolis are better than most anywhere and large. I've been on a cannoli kick over the last year or 2 and this was better than any, including from Italian bakeries that I've had recently. The wine list is expansive and at $11 a glass, with a great pour, is reasonable, as is the bottle prices. Their welcoming and friendly staff checked in on us til we decided on a large Kay's Special Pizza and a large Pepperoni Pizza as well. We also had a bowl of clam chowder along with a side salad. Now, to tell you about the star of the show. When the pizzas were placed on the table, I noticed that the pies had already been transferred to a cool pan. That certainly made it easier to grab without burning your hands, nice! I couldn't wait to taste the special which had sausage, mushrooms and peppers. From my first bite to my last, it was completely satisfying. I have to say that I completely disagreed with those that compared it to a Pizza Hut pie. This pizza was light, and crisp on the bottom with lots of topping and goey cheese. Also, I don't particularly enjoy crust but this one was perfection and not to be dismissed. The crust was lightly crusty and just wonderful. Literally I was blown away by the whole pizza experience and wondered how I have missed out this whole time. Lastly, many orders of wings blew by and I must make a mental note to try them next time. Sadly, I heard the staff saying goodbye to many of their regulars and wishing them well. I think they could have been crispier, but they were very moist and the sauce was fantastic, we got buffalo garlic parm. The first pizza we got was the Kay's special. It was okay, but I am not the biggest fan of loaded pizzas and red sauce. The sausage was really good though and the bottom had a nice crisp. My dad ordered the pizza "extra crispy". The second time was my choice, and I opted for a simple white clam pizza. This was great, and the only pizza gone from the table at the end of the meal. It was crispy and the crust actually had good flavor without the overbearing toppings. The clams were likely of the canned variety, but I enjoyed it none the less. The pizza is pretty good, but not the best I've had. It's more about the place, tradition, and the great ambiance. Service was great both times, they treat you like family. One downside is the one stall ladies room and a very packed restaurant. Expect to wait. It's a good place to come with family to enjoy their patio and eat some affordable shareables.
