Rosanna's Italian Kitchen is one of those rare places. While traveling through Albany with my mother and sister, we had the absolute pleasure of discovering this gem. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was going to be something special. The history of the building provides a fascinating backdrop, but what truly brings Rosanna's to life is the extraordinary knowledge, skill, and passion of the people who work there. There is something wonderful about being served by people who genuinely understand and take pride in their craft. Their expertise elevated the entire experience. And the FOOD! Oh, the food. Every aspect of our meal reflected exquisite attention to detail. From the cocktails and gluten-free focaccia to the mushroom pasta, salmon, and steak frites, each offering demonstrated the kind of thoughtful preparation and culinary craftsmanship that makes a food lover's heart sing. This wasn't simply food prepared well. This was food prepared with intention, skill, and an obvious respect for the ingredients and the people fortunate enough to enjoy them. What impressed me most was that the excellence wasn't confined to one standout dish. It was woven throughout the entire experience. Every detail mattered. Nothing felt ordinary. But perhaps the most beautiful ingredient of all was the company. I was sharing this experience with my mom and sister, and somewhere between the wonderful food, the fascinating history, and the pleasure of simply being together, an evening out became a cherished family memory. I've enjoyed many wonderful meals, but there are precious few that I know I'll still be talking about years from now. This is one of them. Rosanna's is not merely a place to have dinner. The burger/fries and chicken dish were average. The tortellini and garlic bread were below average. Tortellini tasted like it was just frozen and undercooked and then served warm, not hot. The garlic bread...how do you mess up garlic bread. It was $7 and it was literally two pieces that were the size of my pointer finger, and one of the pieces was burnt. I would have been embarrassed to serve it as complimentary, let alone charge for it. The three meals plus the two mini pieces of garlic bread came to $110 including tip. It was overpriced for the quality of the food. I would say at the most this should have been an $80 meal including tip. I would have given a 3 star review if that had been the price. I live in a pricey area and I'm not picky. I believe this is the only time I've given a restaurant anything below 4 stars. The place was clean and I like that they bring a glass bottle of water to the table.

The rest of the table had fish and chips and Baja tacos which were all delicious.
