I had been taking my car to a Mazda dealership in CO to get serviced for years so I figured I would do the same here. Being new to the state I also just got an emissions inspection done a few months ago (this will make sense as you read further). Dropped my car off to get serviced and they asked when I would need it by. I told them at least by the end of day which they said would be no problem since I dropped it off at 9:30am. During the service I get a text about the status of my car. I click on a link and watch the video from the mechanic. The mechanic says I have a slew of issues. His recommendations included my brakes needing to be replaced, spark plugs to be replaced, and most concerning was "front suspension control arm busing was completely torn, and rear frame mount is completely torn." I contacted the service department to go over pricing and it was astronomical how much all of this cost, over $3,700! The lady also mentioned to me that the arm busing and frame mount alone "would not pass emissions inspection in PA". Which was funny because my car passed a few months back which I told her. She seemed very concerned about this. I had also just gotten new spark plugs and told her this as well and she said it was only a recommendation. I was not comfortable getting all these repairs done so I told her I wanted just the oil change and filters done. She told me she would contact me once my car was ready. A few hours later and I still did not hear from her. I tried calling the number and received a voicemail saying she was not available. I left a text and got an auto response saying the same thing. I waited another hour and ended up getting a message that they were closed for the day. Never received any communication from the service department, no text (and we had been texting back and forth about my car all afternoon), no call, no voicemail. As a paying customer expecting to get their car done that day, without any communication about my car needing to stay longer, I was very frustrated. Next morning I called as soon as they opened. The same lady that helped me answered. I asked her why they did not contact me about my car. She seem dumbfounded by this and said she tried and thought she left me a message. I told her I got nothing and that I would be happy to show her my call history and text history with them. She didn't acknowledge that this was any fault of hers or whoever else was working on my car. I asked if my car was ready and she said yes. I went there a few hours later when my husband was able to step away from work to take me. When I walked in she finally apologized to me. She said she looked at their system to see why I didn't get anything and it apparently went down that afternoon. Yet they can't call their customers if their system is down. Seems like a lack of customer service. I didn't want to argue, seemed pointless, so I paid and left. Few weeks later I take my car to Hampden Auto to get a second opinion. One a few minutes of glancing at my car they said there was nothing wrong with the front suspension control arm bushing and nothing wrong with the rear frame mount. My brakes were worn but didn't need to be replaced right away. Over $3,700 dollars quoted by Mazda over absolutely NOTHING!!! This inspection made more sense considering the auto shop I got my emissions inspection done at said none of these issues existed either. I always expected a dealership to have higher service prices but to completely make up recommendations and not thoroughly inspect a car before sharing information with the customer is careless. I'm just really disgusted with how unhelpful they have been with me as far my warranty. No one should buy a car with 38K miles on it and immediately start forking out money to repair it. This place just came up as recommended wen I was searching for a repair facility. Fortunately for…read moreme, unfortunately for my kid, I knew all about these wanna-be mechanics from a few years back. Long story short - their head mechanic didn't know how to check oil properly on her Nissan crossover? (name escapes me) Three times in the shop and they tell her the oil is over full. I go in, act dumb and ask if they could show me how to check the oil since I got blamed for it anyway "your dad is over filling it" Stooge pulls dip stick and proclaims "see overfill again by twice" Me - "flip that dip stick over" Dude had no words because the other side had NOTHING on it because they drained 5 quarts the day before because "it was overfilled" I promptly asked the gentleman "if you toss a stick in a bucket of oil, is it possible to only get oil on one side of said stick?" Note: these cars/engines have an oil drain back hole directly above the dip stick which covers it with oil several inches up the stick, on one side. Even a moron knows to wipe the stick and reinstall to check and look at both sides. A not-so-certified village idiot should know these cars are best checked after they have sat awhile, regardless this poor village idiot was happy to run out 5 minutes after we arrived and check it without ever having a towel in mind. Way to go imbecile. Needless to say, it never left the place and the motor was hammering because they told her to run it and I want putting oil in it again for them to blame me for overfilling. A few days later we stopped in and find in an attempt to get the warranty co to pay for a motor, they blew it up. The one lucky actually told us what they were doing. Obviously totally oblivious to the fact he was saying they were trying to commit insurance fraud. Good luck if you go here or if, like my kid, AutoMax sends you here because their shop is backed up. These geniuses will fix your vehicle right up like Dewey, Cheatum & Howe, attorneys at law would fix you up on legal issues. Well, that statement isn't fair. The 3 stooges deserve more credit than that when it comes to being lawyers.

Nathan would not listen to me and tried to put me in a completely different vehicle. I told him to call me when the vehicle was out of service. I asked questions about the particular vehicle and he did not have the basic knowledge of parts under the hood. He tried to tell me that this vehicle didn't have many versions in AWD, which I knew was false. He assumed since I was a woman that I didn't have adequate knowledge on the vehicle. When I test drove the vehicle, I loved it, but they were not willing to fix something minor on it. I called another shop and was quoted how much it would cost to fix that particular problem. Nathan was not willing to go down on the price, even though there was an issue with the vehicle. He told me he would talk to the service department again and see if they could fix it.
