This is a sad story It makes me very leery of the service at this dealer I have a 2012 Honda Accord V6 and I was on my way to the doctor and my car started smoking and and frequently stopping and going Luckily I was near this dealer so I drove in to the service area Long story short they said I had to repair the car over $7400 I couldn't afford that but what's worse is I found out but the whole reason my car started smoking and stopping and going was because someone put too much oil in my carYes it has miss codes because it was sucking oil through the pcv and putting it back into the engine What is so terrible And you can tell there's a longer story behind it is this service place dealer never caught that or more importantly never told me And here I thought I had to go get a used car and my car didn't work but luckily I had it towed to this person and they fixed it for $70 Big difference very leery of Honda service dealer read more

My husband and I took out vehicle to ciocca honda in duncannon, pa and we are very disappointed. We paid $170 for a diagnostic and they never even drove the car, they never looked under the car. They only told us we need a transmission and it will cost $7,000. For that much money they should have ran a proper test so we know exactly what's wrong with our car. When we checked the computer at home it coded something with the oil. They never checked and I'm beyond upset. I will never ever go there again nor would I recommend this place to anyone. read more

Seniors beware! As a senior citizen, I drive my CRV less than 5,000 miles a year. My first 3 annual inspections and emission test, Ciocca charged me the full price of the test, rather than the exemption price. The service advisor had to redo the paperwork to correct the charge. The 4th year, I brought it to the service advisor attention that I only had a little over 1200 miles since the last inspection and the charge was correct. This past July 29 when I had our car in for inspection and oil change, I did not say anything and once again the charged the full price for the emission test. When I brought it to the service advisor attention, he said the state discontinued the program. I called Drive Clean Pa and was informed they did not change their program. So, the service advisor out and out lied to me so he would not have to redo the paperwork. I called the service manager and left a detailed voice message. No call back. I went online and asked for the general manger to call me. The chat person, Jennifer, said she would pass the message to the manager to call me. No call as of today. I sent an email to the VP of Ciocca dealerships, no response. So, if you're a senior like me and drive less than 5000 miles a year, check your bill over very closely if you get your service done at Ciocca Honda. I recommend you go somewhere else. read more

We recently purchased a used vehicle and were given some wrong information during the sale, and not just once. Even pick up turned into an issue. I spoke with the manager Tanner who at the time thanked me for my patience, only to find out later he sent some paperwork that he said he would need to send someone to retrieve it because it needed to be changed. When I corrected him to let him know that's not what he said, he so rudely cut me off and said listen, I'm not going to go back and forth. During the run around I also contacted the GM via email, no response. less than a week after the sale I have a light that comes on the dash, emailed my sales person, didn't here anything back yet. It could be that he still didn't see it but by my experience here, I'm going with probably not and doubtful I will hear back. In the degenerate world of car sales, Ciocca has shown themselves to truly be the bottom of the barrel. Between relentless calls and texts starting within minutes of leaving the dealership to overt attempts to swindle customers out of thousands of dollars, our experience with Ciocca was awful. - They appraised our trade in at several hundred dollars below the value given by another offer. - They tried to have us sign a strange, unprofessional looking document before they would even show us any offers. - They attempted to charge us over $600 for floor mats when other Honda locations were charging a mere $210. - Features such as wheel locks were included against our will and could not be removed from the offer, an additional $125. - Their manager, Ahmad Rasheed, gave only scripted, canned responses to questions and inquiries, giving a long, insincere speech about customer satisfaction. - Rasheed additionally responded to concerns about finding a good setup of the mirrors and seat position in the car by mentioning how he just drives it as-is and doesn't care much for fitting comfortably in the car- implying that we shouldn't care either. - They neglect to calculate and include taxes when presenting offers, even when the offer has been itemized. When we pointed out the missing tax, they calculated it incorrectly, prompting us to do the calculations correctly for them. When all was said and done, along with plenty of abstract charges that they decided to tack on, the price of the car we were looking to purchase was 3 to 4 thousand dollars more expensive than what we were looking to pay and more expensive than similar offers from other Honda dealerships. Obviously, we asked if there was room for them to lower the price and work with us. The Finance Manager, Evan Kline, demanded that we give the first offer, despite Ciocca holding almost all of the cards. When we declined, he said he could lower the price by a mere $100. This reduction was nothing more than an arrogant remark trying to pressure us into making a counter offer. In his words, "It's a joke." It was a joke, and we weren't laughing. We immediately left, leaving him with Justin Duman, the novice salesperson that he had just cheated out of a sale. We managed to get more money for our trade in and get a year newer model for cheaper at another local Honda dealership the following business day. read more

CIOCCA HONDA OF HARRISBURG IS A SCAM!!! STAY AWAY!!! I have a 2008 Acura TL that was inspected by this dealership (Ciocca Honda) last year without any issues. One year later it needs to get inspected again. I drove this car just about 1000 miles last year. I was excited and thinking to myself that this is going to be easy and cheap, since it will be exempt for emissions and there is nothing wrong with the car mechanically because I haven't even touched the car since it last inspected by the same dealership. I call up Ciocca Honda and schedule an appointment. I drop of the car at the dealership and asked them to call me when done. Still being excited on how this should be a no brainer. Few hours pass and I get a call back. The lady on the phone tells me that it went well but apparently it needs a new passenger side tie rod end to pass the inspection. She states that it's "leaking" and it had play. (I guess the tie rod end was be low on Rod Fluid and it needed to be refiled. /s) (First red flag, tie rod ends don't leak. They might be greasy, but they don't leak fluid like they said.) She tells me that they can fix it for $250 this afternoon. I laughed, thinking this was a joke. (Second red flag, trying to sell me expensive suspension parts) According to them my whole car suspension took a dump in the 1000 miles since THEY last inspected it. I told the lady that not to fix anything since I will be fixing it myself. I went to pick up the car. She gave me the paper work and paid for the bill. The bill was more than last year's inspection even though this year the car is emission exempt and it didn't even pass the inspection. You would think it would be less and not more, but no, they charged me more. The paper work said that the car was emissions exempt because it was driven less than 5000 miles in a year, but the windshield sticker doesn't reflect that. And on top of that, they charged me the full price for exempt emissions. (Third red flag, the sticker doesn't say exempt, the paper work does say exempt but they charge full price for something that doesn't have to be done.) She tells me that I have a month to fix the car. I took the car home. Bought both tie rod ends, for both sides. Replaced them 30min. It cost me $30 in total and 30min of my time. The supposedly "leaking" tie rod end was not leaking but it was just greasy as it should be. The rubber boot was still intact. It shouldn't be dry or rusted and it should still have grease in it. It also was not loose like they said, but I changed the parts anyways just to satisfy their ego. (Fourth red flag, they were lying about the parts being broken.) Called them back up to reschedule an appointment, telling the lady on the phone that I changed the tie rod ends and just need to get the sticker. Took the car back to the dealership telling them that I'm here to get the inspection sticker after replacing the supposedly "leaking" tie rod end. He told me that they will have to do a whole another reinspection since the car "left" their lot. I said fine do another inspection, but then he said that it will cost me another $50 or whatever, because, again, the car "left" their lot. That was it for me. I just told him to cancel the appointment and give me my car keys. (Fifth red flag, and that one did it for me, they wanted even more money now.) Tl;dr: The dealership tried to scam me by telling me that the suspension is broken ($250 to replace a tie rod end). They charged me a full price for exempt emission, which they half-donkied anyways by saying exempt on paper while the sticker doesn't say that. Then they tired to charge me for another inspection at full price after I fixed the "broken" tie rod end by myself. COMPLETE SCAM!!! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Very disappointing experience. I brought my 2021 HR-V to Ciocca because my AC was not blowing cool air. My advisor explained that the technicians diagnosed the AC problem to be caused by a rock creating a leak in the condenser. I was quoted a $1200 repair for condenser replacement, evacuation, and recharge, and encouraged to put the claim through my insurance. My insurance agent strongly advised against it. I tried to explain that my car was still under its warranty, but they insisted the "rock" was "an act of God" and did not qualify. I was charged $164 for the diagnosis, and no work. I brought my car to Causeway Honda in NJ (1 month later with no AC in the summer heat). They performed the condenser replacement, evacuation and recharge for free under the warranty. I will not be returning to Ciocca for regular maintenance or repairs. read more

I purchased a used vehicle here, was at the dealership for 6+ hours, only for them to call and ask me to return to the dealership because the paperwork was filed out incorrectly. Fast forward to A YEAR LATER, I go to renew the registration, only to find out the original paperwork I was brought back in twice for was still incorrect. I've been driving around in a car for an entire year, with a license plate that was never registered, and my car was still under someone else's name. I'm just lucky I was never pulled over. Was going to sell my car and KBB said how much I could get if I outright sold my car. KBB listed Ciocca Honda in Harrisburg as closest buyer, so I made an appointment.  All seemed good till I got my offer.  It was half of what KBB said my car was worth because it had an accident in the car's history.  Fortunately I had an appointment up the street at a Toyota dealer also. They were nice enough to come within 1200 of the KBB value knowing too about car's history.  If this is any representation of how they do business I'll pass. They started off really well. Honestly they went down hill by a 2nd car. We bought two cars within the same year. With the second car they completely messed up the title information when filing. We ended up wasting gas money going back and forth to PennDot then again to Ciocca. Mind you Ciocca is over 30 minutes away from where we live. So an hour drive up and back every time. When we began bringing in the 1st car due to the windshield cracking, again we were up and back at least 3 times. We got a rental car and in dropping off the rental they really had the AUDACITY to charge $15 for a whopping 3 gallons. Honestly you have got to be shitting me. This is absolutely ridiculous. Be weary about your loan advisor and whoever is sneaking in those little payments. I'm above and beyond irritated. Look the only reason is there was anything missing was because we had to drive to and from Ciocca so many f*cking times. I guess that's just how we price gouge people. This place doesn't stand behind their product and is all about screwing over their customer. Bought a brand new 2020 accord put 6k miles on it warped Roters... replaced under warranty. Then 6k later same issue .... I had a Ford with over 200k miles on it when traded never an issue... they wanted me to pay 1000$ for repairs on a BRAND NEW car that had a repair previously covered under warranty. NEVER BUY from this place it's a complete nightmare! Ciocca responded... I called... they put you on hold and you wait and wait and then they ask again 3 times who you are calling for and then you hold more and more to be transferred to an extension where you can't leave a message. I was very disappointed in my experience at Ciocca Honda. I drove an hour to get there because they had the color car that I was looking for in stock. I was very happy with the car and ready to make the purchase, but the prices for the car, the warranty, and the add-on interior/exterior protection were way too high compared to other dealerships. Ciocca Honda was trying to charge me thousands of dollars more, yet I'd be getting a worse deal in terms of warranty length, mileage on car, interior/exterior protection etc. compared to what I was being offered at another dealership. I was very sad to walk away from the car I really wanted, but I could find a better deal literally everywhere else. For what it's worth, Kristi was great! But Tanner and April were disappointing and insulting. April repeatedly said to me, "we need to make money" as if the only goal of Ciocca Honda was to make a profit. The service department of this dealership seems to prey on women. This is the second or third time I've felt they tried to take advantage of my wife who was in for an oil change and tire rotation this time. This time they advised her to do well over $1,000 worth of work. However, they had already done almost all of that same work just a year ago. So the records were in their system. We declined and took the car to a private garage. At which time we discovered that the rest of the additional work advised was not needed. Over the years they have done warranty work, such as changing a faulty airbag, made duplicate keys and done normal maintenance. Fair selection of new and pre-owned vehicles, prices are in line with or slightly higher than other dealerships in the area. Luckily found this car, close to the Harisburg area, really wanted something local rather than 50-100 miles away. Long story short, used American express auto service, made a phone call etc. Zak was my salesman and was courteous & knowledgeable even though I knew most of all the features. He was helpful with showing me interior features. Your facility pretty state of the art, clean, overall nice. One thing small negative...half and half...get that instead of the powdered creamer (yuk). I expect that at Jiffy lube or Pepboys, not a slick establishment which has a nice Keurig machine like Ciocca! LOL read more

We loved our car buying experience there. The service department is another story. we had a free oil change with our new car purchase. It ended up costing me almost a hundred bucks. They charge for every little thing on top of the free oil change. Don't get a "free" tire rotation it's $25. air filters, they suggested to replace. I assume they didn't even check them because they left them jammed with leaves. They said the fluids were all checked and ok. Nope, washer completely empty. Ever been to a dealership that gave you the run around and treated you like you were a complete moron? Yeah well so have I. I had given up hope of trading my vehicle which I was horribly upside down in and my interest rate was ridiculous. I had gone to several other dealerships that acted like they were doing me a favor by wasting my time and telling me a bunch of crap. I decided to check out Ciocca and give it one more go before I gave up. I checked out their inventory on their website and was contacted by Adam after I requested some information on one of their vehicles. He wasn't pushy and when I told him that I wanted to talk to my husband to find out a good time to come in and check out the car he was understanding and actually KEPT HIS WORD of calling me at a specific time to make an appointment. My husband went when he got off of work and test drove two cars; a Fit and a Civic. He called me and told me to come on down. When I arrived they had an area for my kiddos to play and watch movies, offered me and the kids some drinks, and Adam was friendly, polite, and down to earth (which seems to be quite rare considering the sales personnel at other dealerships were arrogant and some were even rude). I picked out a 2010 Civic, got it for well under the price other dealerships were asking and here comes the best part.... I have no credit history so the interest rate others had offered me were what I consider to be close to criminal, but that is just my opinion... they got me a rate that was phenomenal. I am now the very very proud owner of a 2010 Civic LX with a lower payment, a fantastic interest rate, oh and I didn't tell you??.. I was there only a few hours. They don't jerk their customers around and they go ABOVE AND BEYOND! I wish I would have gone to them first. I can honestly say this was the ABSOLUTE BEST car buying experience I have ever had! Took my 2013 pilot in for some work after 301 code came on and was told that the problem was a recall issue and wouldn't be charged Labor for the recall work. I received a voice mail call 3 days after dropping off the vehicle stating that they were having issues with techs not working and this was acceptable with the Covid-19 however the next call i received on the following Monday was the vehicle is done and you can pick it up your total is $3796.73 I'm blown away at this point. They took my engine apart to do the recall 301 code and replaced water pump, tensioner, and belt which totaled $875.07 extra. I'm no Mr Goodwrench but when the service advisor tries to tell me that you don't have to remove the timing belt when removing 3 pistons i guess they started making a new type of engine? My point is they never called me to tell me anything about the work or to ask if I wanted certain things done that I never asked for. They will never get a dime from me again. Screw me once shame on you, Screw me twice shame on me!! With all the uncertainty in the country these folks at Ciocca honda are doing everything they can to make the customer pay more than they should. They should be ashamed about the way they are treated customer's. If you choose to take your vehicle there make sure you tell your so called service advisor to contact you before performing any kind of work. If not you will be charged extra. read more

We bought a 2017 Chevy Traverse in March, on May 7,2021 we had a problem with the transmission slipping gears so we called the service department and we're told their towing company the usually worked with was closed so we needed to figure out our way to bring it in, so we did. When we arrived with the vehicle we were pointed toward Cody's desk and that he would be our service advisor for our car while they had it. He seemed nice enough and said he would provide updates along the way. He helped us get into our loaner car which was a 2020 CRV, we love the loaner car but realized after we already arrived to our vacation destination that it was dirty and it had not be cleaned from the last loaners. Very disappointing. The following day May 8, I received a call from Cody and he said we'd need a new transmission and it should be under our warranty but he'd need to call the warranty company on Monday so the Monday comes around and my husband calls to get an update, no one answers so my husband leaves a voicemail at Cody's desk phone, unreturned. I also called and got Cody's voicemail, left a voicemail and that was also unreturned. My husband had to call multiple times from there on to even speak to anyone, mostly unanswered, finally we're told after three weeks, the transmission is in and they are sending it over to Chevy to get it programmed. On 6/4 the day after I was told it was sent to Chevy to be programmed I get a call from Kathleen and told that we need to pay our $50 deductible because it wasn't paid when we picked up our car on 5/29?? I was confused and me and my husband both called our service manager Cody who never returned our voicemails yet again. Last night (6/14) I FINALLY get a call from Cody saying he's so sorry for all the inconveniences and he's been trying for over two weeks to get in contact with the Chevy dealership to gather information about when our car will be completed there. Today 6/15, my husband called the Chevy dealership on his own and found out our car had been completed on 5/28 and Chevy had been trying to contact Cody or anyone at Ciocca to let them know with no luck. Chevy said they had left multiple messages with no return calls. Once I found that information out from my husband I tried to call Cody once again with no answer and no returned call to figure out what is going on. I called again and spoke with a woman in the service department who tried to transfer me to the Service Dept manager Bob, who I was able to reach until the 5th time I called. I also left a message for the Sales Manager Nick Cook which was returned but he had to leave a voicemail for me and when I tried to return his call I was yet again not met with an answer. I tried calling several more times with no answer. When I spoke with Bob, he had nothing to say except for he just got back from vacation and that he was sorry and didn't know what was going on either. I'm so displeased and disappointed in this dealership in the service dept especially after the wonderful experience we had when purchasing our car. The only downside is when we purchased the car after driving almost an hour home we discovered the car was not detailed when we're told it was being detailed as we were signing our financial documents. I'm giving a rating of very poor because of the treatment I received after purchasing my car. I purchased a Honda civic si after much negotiation. Part of the deal was that the dealer would cover the cost of installing an XM radio tuner, as the car did not come with this option. The installation lacked the level of craftsmanship that one would expect from a Honda dealer. The antenna was incorrectly mounted on the windshield and the wires were not neatly tucked away behind the dash. I will not be recommending Ciocca to friends and family. If you are in the market for a new car try Faulkner or Bobby Rahal. Faulkner gives you very generous discounts towards the maintenance of your car. I bought my CRV from Ciocca. They made the buying process pretty painless, and I was very happy with the dealership and the car. I have been taking my car to Ciocca for the state inspections, oil changes, etc, and this is where the only negative thing I have to say, originates. They start texting/calling/emailing about 6 weeks before the inspection is due. My husband finally blocked them, as they were driving him crazy. When I took the car in for inspection, I gave them my number (instead of my husband's) because of this. So, they started in on me: texts, calls. I have now blocked them as well. When I was telling my neighbor about it, he told me that he had to block them for the same reason. While Ciocca does many things very well, they need to know that annoying customers is not a good strategy. read more

I was planning on buying a new Honda at your dealership. Not anymore! My first visit to your store was excellent. The Tech who assisted me was incredibly accommodating and helpful. I had no problems. I had received a quote for about $1,300 to fix our Honda's timing and serpentine belt. I noticed a few things that were not great but I really could not complain. For example, your coffee cups are in an odd location and it appears that you do not have any underneath the Kuerig. Also, when I arrived I was not sure where to go, so I had to knock on one of your doors to get into the building where another customer opened a locked door instead of an employee. My husband brought the car in for our second appointment. I was surprised to hear that employees did not take any notice of him when he entered the store. He was not greeted, everyone was on their phones, and no one paid him any attention. This was particularly surprising since my first visit was so good. I had planned to pick up my car after work the next day as we ended up taking a loaner car home. I received a phone call from your dealership at work the following day and the manager on the phone said "I have good news and bad news". This scared me because I thought he was referring to my car. Instead he was referring to my bill. He said it would be about "$1,400". Which OK I get it sales tax is 6%, so that really didn't bother me. He proceeded to ask if "we were still friends". The comment kind of made me uncomfortable. When I came in the next day I got my car keys back from the cashier after I had returned the loaner car. My car keys had run out of batteries and therefore would not open my car outside. I went in to report it to the cashier. She told the manager about it. The cashier told me to just wait until he was ready to see me. I am OK with waiting but his office was basically a giant glass room so I could see that he was just chatting with a friend or co-worker instead of assisting me with my issue. After about five minutes of chatting, he came out of the office and told me he could not replace my key battery because the "parts store" was closed. He said I could come back another day. I live twenty minutes away, and it would not be worth it for a battery. I just started walking out of the dealership at this point. As I started walking he followed me outside and kept saying something along the lines of he hopes "we can still be friends" and he didn't want to "lose me over a $9 battery". I still found the comment regarding our "friendship" creepy, sleazy, and unprofessional. I was actually hoping to come back and buy a new car in a few years because I love my Honda Accord so much that I would like another one. I know one thing. I made an appointment to fix some recalls in my 2014 Honda Odyssey. I also needed the service team to check a hesitation upon acceleration with the van. Initially they wanted to push me to flushing my transmission, oil change, rotation and alignment where my total would be outrageous and the "service charge would be $120" from the start to determine the cause of the hesitation. Luckily, Honda had issued a bulletin about the hesitation and a triple transmission flush was covered after a software update was administered. Kyrie and Hannah were very kind and a pleasure to work with, especially when the service team didn't get to my van the day they were supposed to. These ladies had me into a loaner vehicle in no time to carry on with my busy life schedule. I did have a few points of frustration which have caused me to keep my review to 3 stars instead of 5. 1. My vehicle was not even looked at on the day it was scheduled. (Again not a huge issue because they fitted me with a loaner vehicle). 2. When they realized that all of the work I needed to have done was covered under warranty, my power steering fluid suddenly became black and needed to be flushed, and the tires needed to be rotated, balanced and aligned (even though they had been just 3k miles ago?) So my bill was $200 3. They said that they had to run my vehicle to make sure that the hesitation was addressed. No problem. However, when I went to pick it up...I first had to take the loaner and fill the tank to the level it was at when I received it...again no problem. But I got into my vehicle with 1 mile remaining on my gas tank. The nearest gas station is approx. 1 mile from their location. I almost made it to the station pumps. Got to the top of the entrance and coasted to the closest pump. Albeit, I took my vehicle in with a solid 1/8 tank if not more of gas...they probably could have filled it or at least put a bit of gas in to make sure that I wouldn't run out, but they didn't check it and that is very frustrating. I called to tell them about it and was offered a comp tire rotation on my next trip in. Thanks, but unless there's another recall...I'll probably stick with our "car guy" who doesn't push me to do more than necessary with my vehicle, gets to it when he says he will, and doesn't price gouge. No qualms with the staff and the office staff at checkout was also lovely to deal with. Just minor frustration points that could be addressed with more attention to detail in general by all. read more

Had repairs at body shop they did a terrible job. Painted right over stone chips on a panel they repaired. Never in my life did I think someone would do work like this. Also pointed out damage that happened they did not fix and my car got paint chip while their and they agreed it looked fresh but would not fix it properly. I spent close to two hours at Ciocca. I told them EXACTLY how much I could borrow. The salesperson said he would need to talk to his manager. He came back and we test drove a wonderful CrV. The entire visit I was led to believe we were on the same page, including the salesperson having me sign off that I would purchase today under the loan amount I stated I would finance. The deal he offered me wasn't even close to what I said I would borrow. Additionally, they didn't give me the price noted in the letter they sent, for my car, siting KBB pricing. The price they used in their calculation was at the highest end of KBB. It is disgraceful to waste anyone's time as they did mine. It's even worse given I have previously purchased three vehicles from Ciocca. read more
