I explained that my throttle dashboard light came on, and Charlton said I might need the $70.00 diagnostic test to turn it off and determine the throttle problem. Charlton also asked me about the size of my engine. I scheduled an appointment and canceled it because the throttle light went out. Perhaps it was the below-freezing temperature and my attempt to drive my vehicle without sufficiently warming it up that prompted the throttle light to come on, I will definitely contact C & A when my vehicle does need servicing. I appreciated the messaging that helped me determine what my vehicle needed. What's valuable? The excellent customer service in fielding my throttle concerns is worth noting.

Update: The owner got in touch with me and admitted that they made a mistake and should have…read morecovered the labor to replace the defective part. He sent me a check to reimburse me for a portion of the labor that it would've cost to install the replacement part under warranty. They only reimbursed me for 1 hour of labor when they originally charged me 1.5 hours to install it. Since they sent me the check and admitted they made a mistake I am updating my review to 3 stars but I still would not trust this Garage in the future and I will not be going back to them. After seeing all the excellent reviews of this place I thought I'd give them a try when I needed my rear drivers side window regulator replaced in June 2022. I am very sorry I did. The service I received definitely didn't live up to the reviews. The first thing that happened was when they called to tell me the window was done they told me my front drivers side window regulator was broke now. I told them to just leave that one go and I would fix that one myself because I couldn't afford to have them fix both at the moment. For the drivers side rear one they charged $165 for the part (which only cost about $100 in the store) and $135 for labor for a total of $318 just to fix the one window. I don't consider that reasonable like all the reviews say. The shop I normally go to told me they would do it for about $100 less when I called to get a quote to get the newly broken front drivers side window regulator. I told Lauger's I wanted my old broken window regulator back because it had a lifetime warranty and I wanted to exchange it at the store where I bought it to have a spare. Lauger's LIED and told me they put the old part in my car. They kept it and I'm sure they returned it to NAPA and got more money back from it since it was a NAPA part! 16 Months after Lauger's replaced the rear window regulator it broke and the window was stuck down. Since Lauger's is a NAPA Auto Care Center I called them to have them replace it under the NAPA 24 Month/ 24,000 Mile Parts and Labor Guarantee. Lauger's LIED again and told me the part is covered 2 years but labor is only 1 year. I called NAPA Corporate and confirmed that the part and the labor should both be covered for 2 years at Lauger's and they didn't understand why they would tell me only 1 year labor. I honestly don't want Lauger's anywhere near my vehicles after this because I don't trust what they might do so I accepted their offer and picked up the new window regulator from them and installed it myself. When I took the broken window regulator out I noticed that it didn't even match the part # that Lauger's said they installed on my bill! This is outright fraud! I think they must have installed a cheaper part than the part # they charged me for on the bill which is why they refuse to honor the warranty. Don't make the same mistake I did by believing the glowing reviews this place gets because it's definitely not true. I learned an expensive lesson by putting my trust in them and will definitely not be going back and will also be telling everyone I know to stay far away from this place.

We were visiting family from out of state and on the day we were planning to drive home, the brakes suddenly started making a horrible grinding noise. I called Hershey Auto Center out of the blue and begged them to take care of my car. Not only did they squeeze me into their busy schedule with no notice, they got the repair done within only a few hours after I called. Visiting Hersheypark when we realized we had a nail in our tire. Worried about the long ride home, we stopped here with no appointment to ask them to help. The gentleman that helped us (the owner?) was wonderful - reassuring, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Took care of us right away even though they seemed pretty busy. Charged us a minimal amount and gave us piece of mind for the ride home. Highly recommend this auto shop!!! read more

I had a great experience at this shop. Visiting family in the area my car needed something when a check engine light came on. They could have totally oversold me on unnecessary parts or labor because I am not auto-literate, but they were nice, fair and fit me into their day, which looked to be very busy. I had no idea how to get my car to a shop or what could be wrong -- I just needed to be able to commute to work hopefully soon. I tried two other shops before trying Bob's, one where I had to leave a message and they never got back to me, and another where they could only start working on my vehicle two days after it arrived. That wouldn't cut it. I was relieved to have Bob answer the phone, understand my urgency, and even have a tow truck available to pick up my car from my neighborhood lot. I was able to have my insurance arrange the delivery, though, and before the end of the day I had a diagnosis about a battery and alternator swap. The next day, the work was complete, and he offered to pick me up and bring me to his garage to fill out the paperwork. Sure enough, my car rolled up the next morning with Bob in the driver's seat. I'm so thankful to had had his open communication, professional attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for a 20-something with little vehicle expertise. I'm hoping with this car I won't have to reach out because of problems again, but I know exactly who to call when I need something done.
