Hershey Auto Center is the best! My grandpa is a mechanic and as such, I'm always a bit wary going to a shop that isn't him/isn't his pal. Well, sometimes you need your car checked out and there isn't time to get to the grandparents. I called Hershey Auto and they could get me in within the week! All the correspondence I've had with them has been informative and best of all: kind. Don explained what I needed done and didn't try to add anything. They have early drop off available, so I could leave my car the night before and fill out a form/envelope and slide it in the bay safely. My car was ready before I was even done with work the next day. Their transparency gave so much peace of mind. Now for the best part: the price! I have been looking for a good service station around me. And I saw that this place had some good reviews and word of mouth. Took my car in for inspection and had my brakes done. Didn't get done when we agreed but he did say that he was short on workers and had a lot of jobs in the shop so no big deal he said I would still have it by the end of the business day and that was great. All in all, I feel it was good with no issues, I will come back 2 or 3 more times and see if it stays the same. read more

My family and I were a 1/4 mile from making it to Hershey Park when the gauges started acting crazy. The traction control kicked on. The car dies in the center of an intersection. 92 degrees and humid.....ya totally a bummer. Made the call to AAA. The car got towed to Hershey Auto. The police were great and gave us a ride to Hershey park to enjoy the day. I decided to make a call a couple hours later to Hershey Auto to introduce myself as the owner of the car. The person on the other end could not have been more AWESOME !!!!!!! totally honest upfront pricing. This establishment is professional and operates with integrity. If my car breaks down in the future, I hope it will be in Hershey. I had a terrific day with my family and these guys had my alternator replaced before 5pm (the same day) Thank you Hershey Auto ! I love these guys! There's a reason they are always busy-the owner is hard working and honest. He straight up told me he doesn't believe in fixing things that aren't broken and was honest and up front about how much work my car needed. He called me to clarify what I was seeking inspections on before starting so he could address the issues without missing anything. If I could give this business 10 stars, I would. I needed extensive repair to my vehicle while driving to a vacation at Hershey Park. My car was brought in on a Monday evening and 1st thing Tuesday morning I had a voicemail stating that my car had been looked at. My car was finished by Wednesday afternoon. The shop has a drive-on lift - no need to worry about the jack points and potential damage to the undercarriage of your new baby. Friendly people and reasonable prices. I just bought an Audi and had a few questions/concerns that I wanted to run by a mechanic. After calling the service shop at the dealership where I bought my car and dealing with a guy that didn't seem to want to help at all, I wasn't comfortable taking it there so I called Hershey Auto. I trusted them even after a phone call and was able to bring my car over the same day. He showed me everything and gave me advice, cleared a code, and drove it to make sure it was running right, all in 15 minutes. These guys are great! I highly recommend. Thank you, Hershey auto center. I have been visiting my daughter in Hershey for the last week. I noticed that her headlights were out. Then I noticed that her registration had expired. She's the mom of two young children and didn't realize that these things needed immediate attention. I called Hershey auto center yesterday morning and explained and they told me to come right in. We dropped the car off by 10 and were able to pick it up by 5 PM, that same day. The cost was reasonable, all of the employees professional and it was evident that this business is a well - oiled machine. Thank you for taking care of my family. Wow! What an awesome experience!! I'm literally blown away. I just purchased a 30 yo Cutlass. I asked Don (first time here) to do a bumper to bumper mechanical inspection and determine a plan of action for any repairs or preventative maintenance. I got my A/C diagnosed and fixed here. So far, it's working well. They were really responsive and straight forward with what needed to be done. They even gave me options on what I wanted to do w/ my A/C. I chose a riskier and much much cheaper option, and it worked out well. read more

I just moved to the area and got a new truck I needed to get inspected. Brought it in and they did a catalytic converter replacement in one day! I was shocked at how low the price was, was told the hours on the job may be 2.3 or 2.4 and it was spot on. Everything went smoothly and this was all around the Christmas holiday when they were completely swamped. read more

This place is horrible! Do not EVER get your car towed by them! I got stuck in the snow and all they did was pull me out. It ended up being $275 because it was "after hours" and "an emergency procedure." What a total rip off! I HIGHLY do NOT recommend this place. read more
