Not surprised at all by the negative reviews here. Faulkner gets you to buy a car by telling you all about the great service packages you are entitled to in the years to come. Today I went in for a simple oil change and state inspection. State inspections are free for those who purchase through Faulkner but don't let that fool you. The $60 oil change (I was shocked at how overpriced this was) and free inspection turned into a $150+ price tag. P.S. this car was purchased from them less than a year ago and has only been driven about twice a week since the pandemic started. I sat in the waiting room and was approached by my service salesman and was given the attached quotes for all of the work they recommend I get done, which amounted to $786! I turned down everything except for what was absolutely needed to pass my inspection. This made me pay attention to a pattern in the waiting room. Every woman that was waiting was approached about a number of services that were needed on their car. However, the men were all set and good to go, since the assumption is always that men know things about cars, I suppose. I started talking with another woman in the waiting room who noticed the same thing. I would LOVE to know how much commission they make off of services because I'm willing to bet they're all rolling in the cash they are getting from the other women who are too uncertain about the needs of their cars to say no. I don't care what free services I'm entitled to this will be the absolute last time I let them take a penny off me. I wouldn't be surprised if I went in for my free car wash and they came to give me a list of issues with my car.

Although they give you a super comfy snazzy lounge, it's only bc the wait is so long. Staff are always very nice and polite. Definitely worth getting oil changes here verses your Monroe or Jiffy; as prices are much better and you get the 5 point inspection. I recommend buying their service package. It pays for itself with just the detail itself. The rental car is what I enjoy the most. Plus if you need new tires, having the package gets you a nice discount and of course they always wash your car after every service. Today my wait time is an hour and half. Which is double the wait on a normal day. They are pretty precise with their wait time give or take 5/10 minutes. But I could totally take a nap

Faulkner came through and honored the warranty for my 2024 Honda HRV when the battery died well under 30,000 miles.

2.5 hours for an oil change is ridiculous. They have a pretty new building now they need to focus on rebuilding their customer focus

Not willing to listen to your issue. I bought my car in Lancaster and I should've just called them instead of these guys.

Charlton messaged me back within 15 minutes. I explained that my throttle dashboard light came on, and Charlton said I might need the $70.00 diagnostic test to turn it off and determine the throttle problem. Charlton also asked me about the size of my engine. I scheduled an appointment and canceled it because the throttle light went out. Perhaps it was the below-freezing temperature and my attempt to drive my vehicle without sufficiently warming it up that prompted the throttle light to come on, I will definitely contact C & A when my vehicle does need servicing. I appreciated the messaging that helped me determine what my vehicle needed. What's valuable? The excellent customer service in fielding my throttle concerns is worth noting.

This is my first time using Yelp and was so stressed because my regular mechanic is my friend and he was on vacation when the brakes went out. I felt so much better when I found people who would help me . Special thanks to Charlton at C&A Automotive for making me feel at ease and gave me a great deal . It turned out to be the brake job from hell because of the poor workmanship of the last owner . An hour project turned into a 3 and a half hour nightmare. Charlton worked his ass off and kept a good attitude . We're both talkers and that helped our mental health. Lol I can't recommend to highly. You need a car repair done he's the man to get.

The last time I had a brake job done there was an issue with the dust shield scraping. Brought it back in and they remedied the situation. My only complaint is that they took off my out of state front vanity plate to pass inspection. That was not necessary, as I asked a State police man if that was an issue and he said no, because Pa does not have front license plate. So, I just put it back on. They had some staffing issues due to COVID-19, which screwed things up a bit because I had to take off of work twice for an inspection. That ticked me off a bit. The shop owner said he tried calling me, but I had no missed calls, so....? Oh well, they're right around the corner and convenient. Plus, you can go to Gilligan's for beer & food while your car is being worked on.

So it didn't pass, but something didn't sit right w my husband as he was over hearing conversations from the employees bout charging people for things Bc they are stuck with parts and needed to pay bills. Now we took it to another garage and it passed with flying colors & none of the things we were told was wrong. Thank goodness my husband trusted his gut and got a second opinion. I'm deeply saddened that this happened to us and that we had this type of experience. Now we have mixed opinions about if we will return or not. But just beware.

I've parked in the same spot every single day for the past two years with no issues. I got home from work around 8 PM, parked as usual, and when I went outside at 8 AM to leave for work, my car was gone. They towed my vehicle 10 miles away and then charged me $300 to get my own car back. The person who claimed to be the manager was extremely rude during the entire interaction. He told me my car was towed because my permit "wasn't shown," even though it absolutely was. He also admitted they towed another car because the permit was "hidden," which tells me they are not even properly checking for permits before towing people's vehicles. When I questioned their pricing, he said that if I needed a tow from the side of the road it would be a "different rate," but refused to tell me what that rate even is. Completely sketchy and suspicious behavior. The fact that they can't or won't provide the standard roadside tow rate raises more concerns about the legitimacy of the $300 charge. I also asked for an itemized receipt and proof that my permit supposedly "wasn't there," and they refused to provide either. That alone says everything about how they operate. This was completely unnecessary, stressful, and expensive--especially when my permit was visible the whole time. Their behavior shows a lack of care, professionalism, and accuracy when towing from residential areas.
