Faulkner came through and honored the warranty for my 2024 Honda HRV when the battery died well under 30,000 miles.

This place is a complete rip off. A few days ago my car displayed a brake message due to the ABS censor. Carmax performed a diagnostic test & confirmed it was an antilock brake malfunction. They suggested I take it to the dealer. Big mistake.. I took my car in. Kira gave me an estimate of $1833.54. Everything on that list was stuff i literally just purchased. When i called them out on it, she denied it. Judging by the long list of reviews, i was right. Don't go there. They have one objective and that to take your money. They said I needed an oil change. My oil was changed two weeks ago. That let me know they didn't check it, because if they did, they would've know. They also told me I needed tires, I bought them 1.5yrs ago. They said I needed wiper blades, they were replaced over the summer when my windshield was replaced. I paid a $100 diagnostic fee, even though this was covered under my MaxCare. I confirmed this with my rep, that they didn't bother contacting. When I got there to get my car, Kira tried to gaslight me into thinking they weren't trying to financially violate me. She told me they didn't know about the oil change because my sticker wasn't changed. They would've if they did their job and actually checked. They were looking for things to charge me for. If you there, be prepared and know your car before doing so. Otherwise, you'll regret it. read more

I had my yearly inspecting in May 2025 since then I've had back brake grinding, I've been told I have to pay $99 diagnostic testing no if ands or butts, SO why did my car pass inspection if they were fine and now, they are grinding. What happened to bumper to bumper warranty that I was promised?? Had another bad experience today at Faulkner Honda. I stopped going to them a few years ago for inspections since it seemed I could never get out of their shop without at least a $1000 bill. In late July I had an oil change done, and on the invoice several service recommendations were made which totaled - you guessed it - over $1000. So when I went to Faulkner Honda for my state inspection this morning, the list of service recommendations was $1641.24, but what was really odd was that none of the things listed from the July invoice were listed. Instead, a brand new list with things unrelated to the first list were included. Am I to interpret that none of the items in the first list ever needed to be repaired? Did today's mechanic just throw darts on the board as to what he would include on the recommended list of services needed? Also, why does it take 15 minutes to change a light bulb? Consequently, I question the integrity of the people that work at Faulkner Honda. Imagine that the best way to pay off their brand spanking new building is to have as many questionable services charges as possible. Not today on my watch! read more

Drove in for a simple checkup with zero auto problems and was then told to leave after complaining about my "Engine Light" now on after their service. Not surprised at all by the negative reviews here. Faulkner gets you to buy a car by telling you all about the great service packages you are entitled to in the years to come. Today I went in for a simple oil change and state inspection. State inspections are free for those who purchase through Faulkner but don't let that fool you. The $60 oil change (I was shocked at how overpriced this was) and free inspection turned into a $150+ price tag. P.S. this car was purchased from them less than a year ago and has only been driven about twice a week since the pandemic started. I sat in the waiting room and was approached by my service salesman and was given the attached quotes for all of the work they recommend I get done, which amounted to $786! I turned down everything except for what was absolutely needed to pass my inspection. This made me pay attention to a pattern in the waiting room. Every woman that was waiting was approached about a number of services that were needed on their car. However, the men were all set and good to go, since the assumption is always that men know things about cars, I suppose. I started talking with another woman in the waiting room who noticed the same thing. I would LOVE to know how much commission they make off of services because I'm willing to bet they're all rolling in the cash they are getting from the other women who are too uncertain about the needs of their cars to say no. I don't care what free services I'm entitled to this will be the absolute last time I let them take a penny off me. Jon Mendez (sales consultant) was a person whose core values aligned with mine. This was made quite clear in conversation that had nothing to do with car buying and that is how I knew that I selected the right individual in helping me to make a major purchase. I was not familiar with Honda and Jon educated me with information which included history and value. I can conclude that his product knowledge and his step by step instructions on how everything operates made my learning experience easy. I know I can pick up a phone and call Jon and he will never be too busy to help. So Jon gets a 10 out of 10. Now I cannot say this about Dan Fry (finance director). Mr Fry reached out via phone after the sale about an insurance error. He was told that the mix had to have been on Faulkners part, my insurance has been the same forever. I did leave a message later for clarification to his voice mail. After 9 hours he had never called back with confirmation on the issue. Mr Fry gets a 0 out of 10 for being unresponsive. Jerrett Dehart (business manager) a nice YOUNG man who has a job to do but needs to know that NO means NO. Trying to upsell warranties on an already good product makes no sense. The price tag quoted was ridiculous ($4100.00) and then to add it to the sale and charge tax. I was paying cash for my car did it never occur to him that just maybe I would keep my $4100.00 in my account and earn interest and in not yours. The epic fail was when he had the wrong title and signed it and I caught the mistake. I give Jerrett a 6 out of 10 for just trying to do his job. I can't even rate.. I will never refer anyone to Faulkner Honda salesperson Billy or his Manager. Billy in my opinion sold a vehicle to a very elderly person because she came in on a very small budget looking for a vehicle he sold her a vehicle that was very, not practical for a woman of her age. She went from driving a minivan to a small four-door Honda Civic with blackout wheels certainly naughty car I would've picked for my grandmother when I called him up to discuss the matter with him. He told me he went over several cars with her. speaking with her, she said he did not. I placed the call to him the day. She came home with it as well as the first business day to speak to him about the matter, he was adamant. There was nothing more he could do for her vehicle had no air condition. she was 90 years old on a 94° day with no A/C I asked for him to shop around for some other vehicles if I could get some more money out of her budget specifically an SUV he sounded very uninterested told me he needed to talk to his manager and would get back to us. He did not figure after getting the AC fixed made her go over and get it corrected. His job was done. He made the sale. I called the talk to the manager about the issue. We just wanted to trade up with a little more cash in our pocket to look at a more practical car for her nothing I was patronized by and received. No call back from management , the woman is 90 years old. Her previous vehicle was not going to pass inspection. She was in fear of not having a car and as far as I'm concerned, he totally took advantage of that fact clear did not look out for the best interest of her well-being. He looked out for his. Word of warning about Faulkner Honda in Harrisburg. I signed into Facebook to leave a positive review for my Salesman, and this article popped up. "AG Shapiro: Faulkner Honda to pay restitution to those who were sold 'valueless' dealership warranties". I feel my mother was a victim of this. Three years ago my mother and I each got 3 year leases for the Honda Fits. I was allowed to piece the Warranty which cost about $34/month. My mother was pressured into buying the full Warranty, which was over $100/month. The salesman absolutely refused to piece the warranty for her. I complained about it at the time. Now I find out that the Attorney General got involved with it and there was some kind of settlement. My mother and I just spent the last 7 months preparing for our End of Lease transactions. We both had multiple interactions with Faulkner's employees and management and yet no one ever mentioned that there was a problem with the warranties. There are some fantastic people who work here, but there are also high pressure and deceptive sales tactics that buyer's need to be aware of. I've made appointments (3 times) after I was told that they had the parts they needed. I waited hours each time, only to be told that they actually didn't have the parts. Although they give you a super comfy snazzy lounge, it's only bc the wait is so long. Staff are always very nice and polite. Definitely worth getting oil changes here verses your Monroe or Jiffy; as prices are much better and you get the 5 point inspection. I recommend buying their service package. It pays for itself with just the detail itself. The rental car is what I enjoy the most. Plus if you need new tires, having the package gets you a nice discount and of course they always wash your car after every service. Today my wait time is an hour and half. I recently moved to the area to take a job in Emergency Services during COVID-19 because I lost my job. I showed up for service when my maintenance, A1, came on at 38k miles on my 2018 Honda CR-V. I had to go during work hours and showed up in my military uniform. I am a recently divorced petite young female and was expecting professionalism from their service department and took their recommendations. I agreed to a routine oil change, TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGE?, and rear differential fluid change. I waited there uncomfortably for two hours in my military uniform thinking that I had made the right decision for my vehicle. After I left with a $300+ dollar bill and 2 hours late to work. I walked into a conference room and my coworkers felt so bad for me that I was ripped off from Honda. I called Scott, my service representative, and he said why would you believe them I have worked here for 11 years? I wanted to speak to his manager. He told me his manager would call me and after four days I heard nothing. The Service department does not take single females and emergency responders seriously even during COVID-19! This place is a joke! When my lease ends I'm not sure I'm going to stay with Honda, or the Faulkner family for that matter. A deer hit me back in June and did some damage to basically the entire left half of the car's panels. It took them over a month to get me in just for a 30 second appointment where they took some pictures and I filled out a couple of forms. While at said appointment, the guy who was working with me started giving all kinds of wrong information that they refused to honor. If your trusted employee tells me something, I expect it to be true, not just running your mouth. Fast forward another month or so and I drop off the car the evening before. I double checked with both my insurance and their office that it was okay and was very clear about dropping the car off, I signed the envelope and left my keys in the box. Next day I'm checking my emails in the evening to find that they won't work on my car unless a form is signed in person. I couldn't do that, nor could I borrow a car for any longer and therefore had to reschedule. Jump to this week, I never got confirmation calls like before, so I called them myself. The lady at the desk couldn't find my appointment, transferred me to the manager who said the parts are in and that it's ready to be worked on. I had mentioned about what time to expect picking it up the next day, when he told me, no, it's a 3-4 day project. Thanks for the heads up, no one told me how long it would take when going over forms. Now I have to find a last minute rental (btw don't use enterprise). When I go to drop it off, with that dang form from before, they tell me it'll be done around Monday or Tuesday the following week. Excuse me? The manager told me only three or four days! There's no communication with them, not from management, not from their office staff, not from the in-house adjusters. You'd think after how badly they screwed me the first time that they'd go out of their way to help me, but alas their customer service is terrible. I don't feel like a part of their "family" that they like to portray when going through the buying process at all. After buying a new (used) 2016 Honda CR-V in December 2020 and having it totaled at the beginning of January 2021, I was unfortunately in the market for another new-to-me Honda CR-V. I had talked to several dealers within a hundred mile radius on the Washington, DC area and was feeling very burned out from the previous car-buying experience in December. I stumbled upon a certified used 2018 CR-V from Faulkner last week and thought I would inquire on the car, as it appeared to be in great condition and was listed for a good price. I was very frustrated by the numerous calls I received from dealers, so I put in my initial inquiry that I would like Faulkner to contact me via email. Kim, who helps with online inquiries, reached out via email very shortly after. She then connected me with the Sales Manager for their Certified Pre-Owned Department, Davin Spells, as I was making a purchase from out-of-state. Davin was incredibly helpful with getting me the information I needed and ironing out pricing and fees and letting me know what would be needed to complete the purchase well in advance of my trip to Harrisburg this weekend (01.30). He even discounted the car to a manager's special price and held the car, so it was reserved for me on Saturday. We were able to confirm every detail, including my financing rate, in advance and all via email! Davin was going to be out of office the two days before my purchase, so he connected me to another member of his team, Alex Shmonov, who handles certified used sales. If I could give Faulkner Honda service department zero stars...I would. I went in there for an oil change and why I got was...oil spilled all over the engine, shop rags left in the engine, an oil filter that wasn't changed, oil that wasn't changed and a full price charge. The only redeeming thing about this situation is that the service man who worked on my car was fired and the service manager refunded my money and paid for a legit oil change at another garage. I got my car worked on for a safety recall on my '08 CRV. Everything was fine and I was honestly really happy with the service. Fast forward to today and I go into Etown to the water refill station, and all the money I had in my center console is gone. A five dollar bill and at least $5 in quarters. That was the only money I have left for this whole week, and the only thing I needed to get to my next paycheck was a jug of water. No one was in my car all weekend, I'm the only person who drives it, and it's locked when I'm not in it. The only other person in my vehicle in the past week was either Chris Price as my advisor or Nicholas Krilo... whatever as my tech according to the paperwork. To say I'm livid is an understatement. Bought a 2011 ford escape 51k miles with 3 month warrenty suv was supposdly perfect condition and I paid top price with little for my trade in.. Vehicle looked great when i looked it over and test drove and after service dept got it ready it looked like crap and missing parts..they gave me one key and the fob didnt work.. 2months later and 1k miles the powertrain went faulkner gave me the run around on the warrenty and ended up they wont cover it i have to pay out of pocket to have vehicle fixed... However my son was a Caped Crusader for a local publication and I met Faulkner Honda ,man seemed normal enough. I went to the dealership on a Sunday when they are closed to peak around uninterrupted (I really hate buying a car) found a van I liked and went back during the week bringing my husband. We ended up buying the van from a very knowledgeable and non pushy young woman. I told her who my son was and she mentioned all the wonderful community events Faulkner Honda supports. It is great to see facilities that support local kids. If you're car shopping do it some place that gives back to our youth. Now I hope this car lasts me 10 years like my last Honda because yes I still hate car shopping. read more

If you want to buy a used vehicle, stay away from Faulkner. I bought a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, beginning of March. Says everything was checked over and is ready to go. Buy an extended warranty. I was told it is a bumper to bumper extended warranty. This was the deciding factor in my purchase. I take it for my first oil change at Firestone and was told the left front strut is blown on it. I take it to Faulkner Honda this morning and they confirm the left front strut is blown. Problem is, it is not covered under warranty. Interesting, every bumper to bumper warranty I have had in the past, covered suspension components. If you do buy from them, make sure you review everything before signing, including having the vehicle looked at by another mechanic. I will never buy another vehicle form them, especially after being lied too. read more
