The wing sauces don't feel weighed down by butter or additives; they're bright, flavorful and unique blends that you can experiment with, since you can get orders as small as six bone-in wings. One of the sauces we tried was Szechuan orange, almost reminiscent of Asian duck; sweet and tangy with a little peppery zing, the boneless bites come SAUCED. I still prefer the regular wings. The only downside for me was that they did not have fresh brewed iced tea, so I stuck with the water I brought in. This small, quaint place immediately made me feel welcome, which is big for me. They're known for their gumbo, so I had to try a cup--it was delicious, with just the right amount of spice to warm you up on a cold day. I also went for the bacon cheddar burger, served on a warm, soft bun with mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, and crispy bacon. The burger was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. I couldn't resist ordering their Texas Weiner, topped with a generous amount of sauce, mustard, and onions. The fries were pre-frozen but came out hot and tasty.
