Sorry to say but Ratpact did not work out for me. I was supposed to get attic, insides and underneath house all checked for rodents and possible entry ways. RatPact sealed opening around outside of house and put traps in attic. That's about all that was done along with weekly checks of the traps. The rat I had discovered was inside the house! The inside of the house was not checked and there was never a technician available to go under the house. I asked for the service to be discontinued prior to completion of the work and my money refunded. I received a partial refund for the work that had been done. read more

I called because I began hearing scratching in the wall this past Sunday. I called Monday and by Tuesday the owner, Anthony, was here to assess my home. He was educating me on typical behaviors of rats versus mice, scratching is indicative of nesting, how large a hole needs to be to accommodate a rat, how exposed my attic is to pests, etc.. I was sold. They were here by Thursday and was able to patch up all the entrances into the attic with two layers of protection, foam and metal screen. They went into the attic to vacuum up the droppings and disinfect. The gentlemen that came over (Ignacio and Jacob) were professional, polite, respectful, and accommodating. They knew what they were doing, they talked me through the process and asked me to do a walk around to inspect what they had done. This action alone is very impressive because someone providing a service should always show you what they did just in case the one receiving the service has a question or concern. Friday 12.6.19 -After reading all the reviews, I am starting this review early to show all stages of the transaction. I will update the review accordingly along the stages. After hearing some scratching in our wall, on Monday 12.2.19, I submitted my information to be contacted by Ray Pact representative. My wife and I met with Anthony on Monday 12.2.19. (Very fast turnaround). Anthony looked in our addict and gave his recommendation. We have decided to proceed with work starting on Monday 12.9.19. Anthony has informed us of a starting time between 8am-9am. A full vacuum of addict, sanitation of attic, exclusion sealing, 3 year warranty, traps set to catch any rat/rodent over 3 visits (T&TH every week), then blow in of cellulose green fiber insulation back into our attic. Communication with Anthony between our initial meeting and before work begins has been very good. Monday 12.9.19 - Ignacio and Hansel arrived at 7:55am. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They asked me questions, walked me thru what to expect throughout the day, and encouraged me to ask as many questions as I would need to. They respected my home very much as noted by there wearing of foot coverings for my carpets protection. Throughout the process they periodically would keep me informed on how things where looking and going but also where they were finding entry points that they began to seal. They showed me many before and after pictures. Once the attic was clean, sanitized, and traps reset, they moved onto the exclusion. In my opinio, they went above and beyond the call of duty during exclusion. They went around the whole house and to the very top of my 2 story roof to find any and all possible entry points. They found many possible openings and began to seal up all entries. At times, I would share where I think a point of entry might have been and they quickly would go check it out. They included me in everything they did. Last but not least, the left my home clean just the way they arrived. Outstanding job by Ignacio and Hansel. 12.12.19 - First check back after insulation removal. Anthony arrived at 7am as we agreed upon. Everything went smooth; no complaints. 12.17.19 - Second check back after insulation removal. Ignacio and another guy (didn't get name) arrived 15 mins before schedule. They went up and even let me go see in the attic. Everything looked good still. 12.19.19 - Received a call then text from Zane. I let him know we would need to do Monday 12.23.19. He never responded back. I reached out to Anthony 12.20.19 and a final check back is to be done Monday 12.23.19 Final check back was completed. Frank was really nice and friendly. Overall, so far so good. The Team of RatPact is on point. Final re-insulation is scheduled for Tuesday 1/21 @ 7a 1.20.20 - Woke up this morning hearing scratching between our wall. Reached out to Anthony via text as there clearly is an unsealed entry. Re-scheduled re-insulation for 1/30 so we can ensure all point of entry are sealed. 1.20.20 - Zane came out re-inspected and was able to locate the unsealed entry. 1.30.20 - Ignacio and Hansel game out to re-insulate our attic. Once again, they were respectful and friendly. Final thoughts - The entire process was wonderful. Starting with Anthony the rest of the team was on top of things. The communication was always there. They were friendly and extremely respectful I Was very happy that RatPact DOES NOT re-insulate right away until they're 100% confident that the customer is ready and there are no more rodents anywhere. read more

They are responsive and reliable not to mention pretty affordable. We are still getting weekly visits to check all the traps. One minor complaint is that they are not the best about cleaning the rodent droppings. You have to mention it otherwise they just leave it as is. Other than that we are very happy to use their services and will continue on with their warranty program in case we have any issues with rodents in the future. read more

Worth. Every. Single. Penny! We had a rat infestation in our attic. We had been trying to manage it ourselves to no avail. These guys came in and immediately knew how the rats were getting in. They sealed up all the openings and set traps. We have dogs so they were very strategic in where they set the traps (they used spring traps so no poison). They came back weekly to check the traps until all the rats were gone. This took about two months. After we were placed in their warranty program for a year where they would return if we heard of any rats returning. When Upland had that big wind storm a week or so after we heard some pitter patter in our attic. My husband went on the roof and noticed a vent had blown off. He fixed it but rats were back and ratpact was back out at no charge. One Sunday afternoon I heard the trap spring behind my oven, and when I checked the rat was only half in the trap and still alive (OMG!). I didn't know what to do, I stared at it for two hours with gardening gloves on and a trash bag in hand trying to psych myself up enough to grab it. I couldn't do it... and I text ratpact, even though they were closed and all his guys had gone home for the day he made sure someone came out within an hour of my call. He took care of it. In our opinion, this company is such an unprofessional company. Their employee refused to include our squirrel removal(which is the main reason we had called and confirmed ahead of time.) Quoted us $7,600 as the estimate for just 2 rats removal. Then another employee called us at home at 9pm on a Friday night to ask how their visit went. Then more calls. We had to block them.Beware. We finally had it done, including squirrels, for $375 from a reputable company. read more

Horrible service! First of all they came out to give us a quote and were 1hr late to appointment. I had to call them to see if they were still coming. They have me a window 3pm - 5pm. Didn't get her until after 6pm. My husband met with Anthony and discussed different options. We did have rat problem in the past which we hired another company, but when ended doing most of the work so we were very hesitant. Anthony seemed very knowledgeable and assured us that they would seal up all entry points interior/exterior, he also said they would vacuum and sanitize for any droppings. He also assured us that they would set traps and come check them once a week until our problem was gone, they never set up any follow up visits with us. Our problem still exist, a three year warranty was also included in the price we agreed upon. Since they came out the first time the only thing that had been done was was a slight cleaning in attic. See pics below and they sealed two holes on the outside of the house, set a couple traps. Anthony said they were going to go in attic, go on roof to really figure out how the critters were getting in.( both weren't done) Basically we paid $500 to seal 2 holes, and set a few traps. It's hard to believe the actually went up in the attic and sanitized/vacuumed when these pics are directly in front of our access. Promised to be back in one week and haven't heard from them since besides a text message saying we needed new installation (after my husband texted) and they would have someone back out. If you're like I was a month ago, you're probably scouring Yelp for a reputable rodent expert after hearing sounds in your walls/ceilings at night. I'm extremely afraid of rodents and needed help after hearing them in our attic/ceiling. After 15 years in this home, we've had the occasional rat in the attic but always put poison pellets and they would eat them after a few days and die. We finally had one that refused to eat the pellets, and we wanted the problem taken care of properly (sealing any entrance points). I reached out on Yelp and got several replies, but ended up getting a quote from 3 companies. The first gave us an extremely expensive estimate (for the same services RatPact offered). RatPact was the second, and while it was more than I was hoping to pay, Frankie did a very thorough inspection, was very professional, and left a very good first impression. The third company gave us a lower price, but had all the professionalism of a used car salesman. We decided to go with RatPact, and their team could not have been better to work with. After Frankie's initial inspection, Elijah and Hansel came to clean and sanitize. They sent us before and after pictures, and they were very thorough cleaning every nook and cranny in the attic. They removed the old insulation and set traps, too. Another great feature was that they do not use poison. We have a family dog, and that was definitely a concern for us. He's caught rats in the yard before, and secondary poisoning is a huge concern for any pet owner. Jacob came a few days later and sealed all of the exterior openings where the rats could get in. Our neighbors on both sides have vegetables and fruit trees, so critters pass through our yard to get to them. Jeremy came a couple of times to check the traps and thankfully found nothing. I suspect the rat that we heard was scared off during all the inspections and cleaning/sanitizing. After several weeks of no evidence in the attic and not hearing any sounds, Hansel and Elijah returned to install the new insulation. The reason I went into such detail is to demonstrate the process RatPact uses and how thorough it is. The first company that gave us the much higher price offered to do the exact same thing. Even though the third company offered a lower price, we did not want to sacrifice quality to save a little money. RatPact also offered a generous discount for military/veteran status and our method of payment. One more thing -- we are in a pandemic, and this was a concern for us. Every single person from RatPact who came to our home wore a mask properly (over the nose) and kept a safe distance. Friendly customer service. Yelp shows this place is open 24/7, but no one picked up around 1:30 A.M. when I found a rat and called. But I received a call later that day and scheduled an appointment for 10-10:30 A.M. The owner, Anthony, showed up on time. He was professional and showed me his business card and license, which I appreciated. He quoted me $1300 for a 1400 sq ft house (price based on sq footage). I told him I'd think about it. He called me later that day and told me he'd do it for $500. Was kind of shocked and taken aback at this steep price drop. I had in no way indicated wanting a discount. Seemed a bit suspicious to me, especially since he said he was booked for a few weeks already. I'd think someone who is booked wouldn't need more business. I had people tell me $500 was cheap and others who said it was expensive. I guess affordability all depends on where you live. I decided to move out instead of footing the bill since I already had other issues with the room I was renting. Take this review with a grain of salt since it's just one person's experience and I didn't actually hire them. As with any service, shop around and trust your gut. Hope this helped. read more
