I might've had the most delicious margarita of my LIFE from here; a ginger margarita. The food was also good overall. My friend ordered the queso and chips, and the birria tacos; I had the empanadas, chicken and chorizo tacos, and street corn - and out of all of the items, only the street corn was a questionable item. It was burnt, like all I could taste was "burnt". Additionally, I'm not sure of what bbq/tajin sauce was included on the street corn too, but it was not good. Overall, 4 solid stars for my experience. I literally wanted to take my bartender home my drinks were so good!

They walked us through the history and inspiration behind the cocktails and creations, which made the experience feel so much more personal. The atmosphere is lovely. I started with the Japanese Breakfast, which was tart and boozy, while my husband got the Pineapple Express, which had such a unique flavor. I didn't love the fizz, but he absolutely did! We then asked our server for recommendations and ended up with the Duck Season for me and the Spanish Moss for him. The Spanish Moss was a little too sweet for my taste, but the Duck Season was, without exaggeration, one of the most interesting things I've ever tasted. Hey, if you're after an awesome German dining experience, you gotta check out the Rathskeller. The food is unreal, especially the schnitzel - so crispy and packed with flavor. And don't even get me started on the sausages, potato pancakes, and sauerkraut! Plus, the apple strudel is a must-try for dessert. The service is top-notch too. The staff are super friendly, know their stuff, and make you feel right at home. And the vibe is cozy and welcoming. And let's not forget about the drinks. The Rathskeller has a killer selection of beers, wines, and cocktails that are all expertly made and guaranteed to hit the spot. All in all, the Rathskeller is a real winner. I absolutely adore this place and can't give it enough kudos! From the moment you walk in, you're hit with that authentic German charm. The atmosphere is always welcoming and cozy, making it the perfect spot for any occasion, whether you're here for a casual night out, happy hour, or a special celebration. The food? Amazing. Every dish is packed with flavor, and you can tell it's made with love and authenticity. And don't even get me started on the beer selection. It's as if you've been transported straight to Germany! What really makes this place stand out, though, is the staff. Every server, host, bartender, and kitchen staffer is unbelievably kind and genuine. A nice old building of stone and dark wood my friend and I perused the menu: very New American with lots of Maryland seafood classics. I ordered the crab cakes with fingerling potatoes and coleslaw. The crab cake, though small, was mostly lump crab meat with very little bread crumbs and served with a remoulade. Very moist and flavorful. The coleslaw was slightly bland, but I enjoyed it none the less. And the fingerling potatoes were cooked and salted to perfection. However they were lacking any real fat: no butter or oil. Now, it just so happened that my friend had purchased a bottle of Rosemary infused olive oil a mere half-hour ago. A drizzle of this turned these dry potatoes into something of a revelation, but I really shouldn't have had to doctor the meal I pay for with outside condiments to make it truly enjoyable. My friend enjoyed a hamburger with caramelized onions that was cooked precisely to her order and she enjoyed it a great deal. So, clearly, not all menu items needed as much help. The server taking care of us was very on top for job and kept our drinks filled and us happy. I really wanted to give this place a higher score, but there were too many little things off. I think with a few tweeks to some of the menu options this could be a really excellent restaurant. But currently, it's just "fine."
