I love this place!!! Raspoutine is the best lounge\club for house music. The decor is elegant and chic the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Every time I come here which is often I have such a good time and end up dancing the night away on the dance floor with my friends. Always have a blast here - great house DJs, good vibes, good crowd, never any aggravation. Let's be real for a moment - this is a nightclub in Los Angeles, turn up drunk or dressed like you're at home binge watching Bake Off and you're not getting in. When in line I see people of all creeds and colours getting turned away and when inside I see people of all creeds and colours partying together so to those who casually throw accusations of racism around, you should probably reflect on the fact that there are numerous other reasons you're not getting in. A side note - last time I was here, I had a scary moment where my fiancé was harassed by a homeless dude as we were leaving. The doorman - Pat I believe - jumped to her rescue before I even noticed what was happening, ushered the man away and graciously made sure she was okay. I'll certainly continue coming back and if I don't get in, so be it - I'll be mature enough to accept that it's the reality of big city night clubs, not take to Yelp to air my dirty laundry. read more

Wonderful place. Great non trashy crowd. We love Raspoutine in Paris and Rome and were not disappointed. Came on a Tuesday night for a private party and yes, the place was absolutely packed. Great music, somewhat pricy drinks and long lines for the bathrooms of which there are few. It also took a long time to get drinks as bar was very crowded. Haha all that sounds like an awful night but fret not - we had a blast. Magic. If you want an empty club with no bathroom lines and no door policy than this is not for you : ) WE LOVED IT. read more

Saw this place pop up in my neighborhood and thought I would go check it out. I watched the bouncer turn away two well-dressed African-Americans and said that they weren't on the list. When I came to the bouncer he let me right in without any mention of a guest list (I'm a tall Caucasian man). Based on what I'm hearing from the other reviews, it sounds like management is supporting the racial profiling as there have been many mentions on here and nothing seems to change. It's sad that this exists after all the country has gone through over the last year. After gaining entry I was extremely underwhelmed by the venue and the staff as they were cold, unmotivated, and unaccommodating . I've lived in weho for quite a while, and It really cracks me up when you see these pretentious spots open up and try to be exclusive when in reality there is no way that you would catch me and/or my friends hanging out here. Across the board this place was pretty lame. I can't imagine that it will be around much longer. If you're thinking about checking this place out... don't. There are sooooo many great spots in West Hollywood, a night at Raspoutine is a night wasted. read more

Got there at 10:15 pm, pretty much right after they open. There was 2 people waiting to get in and no one else... bouncer asked us if we have reservation, and we said no, he went inside to "see" and basically did not come back for 20 min! In 40 min that I was waiting there, they did not anyone in, unless you were 'on the list'. Anytime door to the club opened you could see that it was empty inside, but they would not let people in. There was a huge crowd by 11 pm. Bouncer doesn't talk to people. This job probably making him feel 'important'. Don't waste your time going there! read more

Went here on a random Friday night. I know it can be difficult to gain entry especially if you have mostly fellas in your group. Thankfully the door guy recognized we were classy individuals and they let us in to this fine little playground. The music was great as were the lights, but the drinks are a tad pricey. Well what can I say.. the place is very nice, very beautiful and the music just the way I loooooveee it. However there are 2 things that is very bad: too many people and smoking. Let me explain... Its really small place, however they letting tooooooo many people in, which makes impossible to dance, too many, too crowded. Another thing is smoking. I understand if people get a table and a bottle service they are paying a big price but it's not an excuse to let them smoke. I smoke sometimes and I don't mind if people smoke, it's everybody's choice, however if you wanna smoke just go outside. I went to security and manager asking if this is smoke free place and they said no, it's not. And I pointed to the table next to us that smoked, they came to them and said not to smoke and they stopped. But when the time and drinks and night went long, they didn't even bother to tell people not to smoke. Half of people were just smoking and nobody gave a damn about it. Cmon. We leave in LA where you cannot smoke inside the places like that. You want to smoke, you go either outside or special place where you can smoke. You have super small space and people are smoking and it's not OK!!! This is a nightmare!!!! So upset about management who let people there to smoke!!! I loved the place but believe me, most people would agree with me. I don't want to smell it while sweating and dancing!!! Defiantly not OK. Also the alcohol choice is weak. They have few choices there. I asked the bartender to surprise me and I had the worst and cheapest flavored drink everrrr. I asked for a glass of white wine for my friend and they had only 1. Also I agree about guy in front, he is very rude and disrespectful. I think they have to look in to all of this otherwise I agree that this place won't last long.. bathrooms are a nightmare too. Lame vibe. Power trip bouncers even though it was empty inside. Weird clientele. Had a friend who was solo meeting us separately like 20 mins after us and even though it was empty they wouldn't let her in out of principle of it being a "guest list" kind of place. Again, it was *empty* inside, maybe 20 people. There wasn't even a line, they just wouldn't let her or basically anyone in, except a few old ish men. Everyone outside just went to other bars and the place stayed empty inside. What was their strategy - just to look busy from the street? Awkward short bald dude with giant glasses (Julius) manning the front door is on the biggest power trip of his life manning the entrance. I have been here about half a dozen times and can say it was ok nothing special. Decided to stop by for a quick drink last night and above mentioned short dude stops me and my friend at the front and says we cannot come in. Im like wtf why?? 4 of my friends waiting for us inside. Hung around for about 15 mins. Was given a choice to get a table.... contemplated it for a second until some girl ran out saying that the inside was totally dead. This club wants to keep people hanging outside to appear busy when inside is pretty empty. Decided to get bottle svs elsewhere. Julius bro - I know you are a complete nobody making $8/hr working the door here.... glad you get to make yourself feel special and important by working the door. This club will go out of business in 6 months and you will be back to being the total nobody that you are. Enjoy it. read more
