The lady inside was very sweet to my son, even took him around the kitchen The butter chicken was very well made everything in the store is a little bit on the sweet side but if you like sweet and spicy combo it is perfectly harmonized, also they were able to make the curry mild enough for my 2 year-old son to eat. Gobi, Manchurian was very well-made as well. As an avid Chinese and Indian food lover, it was a perfect combination of sweet spicy and salty. I would order this again. We also ordered the chai, which was wonderfully spiced however it was already sweetened. The mango last has a lot of creamy yogurt, and it was a great combination with the well spiced foods. Based on the reviews, I really wanted to love this place but found it to fall around average in comparison to other like establishments. We ordered the chicken tikka, samosa chaat and palak paneer. The samosa chaat was good and one I'd consider maybe ordering again, just not among the best I've had. Theirs is shared in more of a chip style pastry rather than the puff (not sure if that makes any difference flavor wise but something of note.) The palak paneer for me was underwhelming. The heat was nice but other than that, not likely a dish I'd order again due to lack of flavor. The strips of ginger were the only thing that really stood out flavor wise. My friend liked his tikka- particularly the heat it packed- but prefers other area options. Definitely a spot worth checking out on your own to be the judge. I'd go more 3.5 than 3 in terms of stars, but not quite 4. read more

Ordered MILD butter chicken with naan bread for takeout and the register lady asked me twice to confirm for MILD and ended up getting home trying it to find out that it's the regular spicy which due to health issues my gut cannot handle ANY sort of spice. Complete disregard of the cooks and the front register lady to serve whatever they want because they didn't want to make a mild batch it seems. I've been coming here for years and always get the same thing, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. They were renovating all last week so I got it today and they're not 100% set up cause they couldn't do garlic naan so I got Roti which was good but my issue was with the tikka masala. I've ordered it for years now, I know that meal down to the color and texture. None of the meat was chicken breast, the color and taste was off, I don't even know if it was chicken. I called and the guy told me " yeah it's chicken" as if he could see through my phone. He offered to give me a free order of the chicken tikka masala but if it comes out like this I'm not sure I'd want it. I've been a consistent customer for years and my usual order just was't the same. The tandoori pieces were extremely small. I do not know who their supplier is but they need to find another one. The chicken biriyani was way too spicy and for $14 the amount was less than usual. Also the butter chicken had very few pieces of chicken. Everything was way too spicy and was not an enjoyable meal. I strongly recommend giving this place a try, don't let the hole in the wall appearance fool you. The uncles running this place were all sipping their tea when i came in and i honestly loved that. Came here for a quick meal while driving from Sacramento area back home to the Bay. Food was good, authentic, and generously portioned - I enjoyed my paneer tikka, gobi Manchurian, and wheat paratha. Kiddo liked her mango lassi and naan. Husband's lamb dish disappeared so I assume it was good too. Service was a bit slow, though that may be because we were in for a rather late lunch. I noticed some questionable food safety indicators - an uncovered baking tray of cooked, cooled chicken thighs set on top of a larger cooler that we passed by in the hallway to the bathroom, outside the kitchen and in the open, ready to be bumped or sneezed on by passing customers. Tray seemed to stay out there for the duration we were there. As someone who has previously worked in a kitchen and was responsible for the health and food safety certification, this raises some hmmmmm for me. But, our food tasted good and we didn't feel funky afterwards so...hopefully that's most people's experience here. read more

Great Indian food! I ordered for pick up, which is what most people seem to do here. There was no one dining in the restaurant on the Sunday evening I went, but many bags of to-go items ready for pick-up. Call ahead to order because the estimated pick-up time for me was about 35 min. They call when your order is ready. Every item was delicious. This is the first time I tried Manchurian gobi so I don't have anything to compare it too, but I liked it. The Chicken Tikka Butter Marsala is on the sweeter side and the chicken pieces were not at all dry. Curries come with side of rice. Biriyani was spicier than I expected (I ordered mild). We order from this place ALL of the time at work. This is our go-to spot for Indian food in the area. The sauce from their butter chicken is so creamy and flavorful and the thicken is so tender. I'm also a fan of their tandoori chicken. It's so flavorful and I love that they give you a slice of lemon, that little squeeze of lemon gives you a perfect burst of citrus that matches great with the chicken. Their garlic naan is so good I don't think I've found any on par with theirs. I've never eaten here but it's a pretty small spot with a few tables inside if you chose to go that route. Lastly, I just want to say that they are so accommodating for us when we place our big work orders. They organize everything nicely for us so we don't have to deal with it when we pick up the food. Side note, gotta love when people save they've been to a place (here) a ton over the years but only take the time to actually do their review when they have 1 bad experience. Excellent customer service by the woman working front of house. She greeted us and brought out bottled water for us to drink (extra bonus points) while we looked over the menu. We decided on chicken biryani, chicken tikka marsala, garlic naan, and samosas. Everything was delicious! Especially the yogurt sauce that goes on the biryani. I had an extra pleasant dining experience due to the woman's customer service. She went above and beyond for my son. She noticed the food was too spicy for my son so she brought out a mango lassi complimentary on the house. That was so awesome of her! Best Indian food I've had in Central Valley, hands down! This place is located a few minutes off highway 5, but tucked in a small corner in the same plaza as Save Mart. Food: *Lamb Rogen Josh (5 stars) - Most versions of this dishes I've tried either have tough lamb, metallic-tasting sauce, or overly-tomatoy (fiance's complain, not mine). This dish has none of those problems. The lamb is so tender, sauce has just the right level of spiciness and so much flavor in the best way possible. If you are a lamb fan, this is a must-try. *Malai Kofta (5 stars) - Best Malai Kofta sauce! It's creamy and sweet. We ate all the potato dumplings, but I used the leftover sauce as a base and added more vegetables and mushrooms. My new dish turned out great! Highly recommended *Machurian chicken (3.5 stars) - Think of this dish as an Indian version of orange chicken. I was hoping the chicken would be fried but it didn't taste like it. The dish has a nice kick and is on the sweet side. *Garlic naan (4.5 stars) - Extra crunchy, I like it! Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of all the dishes we got. Fuck Rasoi! Went straight to the counter to look at the menu and was not at all greeted by the guy on the opposite end of the counter or the woman who was behind the glass whom I made eye contact with both upon entry. I stood at the counter for a couple minutes thinking one of them would take my order but they pretended I wasn't there. WOW, my girl decided to order Indian food to get her fix on as it has been some time and she wanted her sister to try it for her first time. We ordered ahead of time and it was ready for pickup when they said it would be ready. We ordered nan, garlic nan, tiki masala, another chicken dish, and some spicy veggies that was recommended by one of the staff members there. I was craving Indian food and this restaurant popped up on door dash so I decided to give it a try. Glad I did. I ordered garlic Naan, chicken Tikka and rice. The Naan is huge and very, very good. They give you a ton of rice it was a large Chinese take out container and a small take out order container of rice. The Tikka Masala was so creamy and very tasty with big chunks of chicken, they put bell pepper and onion chunks as well. I would order this again. Food great, service weird, but nothing a little patience wouldn't combat. Come here and was wowed by the amazing flavors. We got the fish karahi and the lenti gravy with garlic naan and rice. Didn't think anything with lentils could taste good but I was surprised (Dal Makhani) . Fish tender, moist, in a delicious mildly spicy and flavorful tomato based karahi. The rice was seasoned with herbs. Everything tasted amazing. I'm not sure if there's a cultural difference causing this interpretation but none of the waiters ever smiled. I'm not sure if this was a bad day for them but the other reviews seem to be saying similar things as well. They did let us wait for about ten minutes before they came and ordered, but would have probably came over if we nagged them to. Either way, service and wait wasn't over the top rude to the point where I wouldn't come back, and the food was memorably delicious. read more

And the price was fair as well the garlic nan bread is nice and hot and fresh and must eat immediately.
