White Feather Rocks

It's inside a small, one story building next to a multi-story apartment complex that makes it seem tiny by comparison. This place has a mix of everything for the rock and stone types. Shelves and cases lined with all things rock related. Wrapped stone necklaces in one case and loose cut stones in many of the others. You can also buy giant rocks which they sell by the pound. There's a section of crystals in a small room in the back. Didn't go in there because that's not my sort of thing. The west side of the building has wooden crates of cut slabs of all sorts of minerals. A lot of local Utah rocks in these crates. Underneath them are loose rocks of the same type and there are numerous bins of partially cut rocks. Along the wall are a bins of smaller slabs of specific things like Tiger's eye, petrified woods and poop, dinosaur bones and lots of smaller uncut stones for diy cutting. The shelving has slabs of some really nice stuff at average prices. Honeycomb, a ton of agates and lots of different obsidian slabs are hidden away in the drawer. The staff here are really nice and the older gentleman has a really good knowledge of the stone types. You can even catch him cutting and working on stones in the front of the store. Prices range from average to expensive and if it isn't marked be sure to ask. A lot of the jewelry is made in shop by the staff. Everything from the cutting and polishing, all the way up to the wrapping of stones for necklaces is done by staff. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. They've even won "Best of" awards in Utah. The local gem and mineral society gave me a recommendation to stop here when I visited one of their big shows. A great recommendation!
