I've gotta say, this level of integrity in service is SO appreciated and reason alone to work with these guys. Their pricing is fair too and they don't lock you into any contracts or try and sell services you don't need. All around a class act!
My shed was quite literally buzzing with activity, and abject horror struck as I opened the door to reveal a yellow jacket nest the size of a small city. Naturally I called the pros and must say, Hornet King, you need to look out! Battle Born Pest Control IS coming for your title and are officially my service superheroes of the summer!
I discovered a band of pissed off, black and yellow maniacs with NO CHILL and a undying desire to throwdown with anyone who crossed their path, had setup shop inside the shed at the edge of our property.
They got in through a window left open to allow a power cord to exit, and then they proceeded to make a massive nest inside. The entrance/exit was a hole cut to allow a power line to exit the shed, so on the outside it looked softball sized, but when you opened the door you saw terror looking you right in the face!
If you know anything about these buggers, you know just how easily they're provoked, and it's no exaggeration saying that there were thousands inside this colony.
After a quick text exchange with Matt, the owner, he had Manny out the same day to address this for us and keep us safe. Manny's sheer bravery was impressive enough, going in literally head first to remove something from the shed before spraying the crap out of it. I watched as he used the spray to treat and protect himself from the swarm that had locked onto him!
After he'd successfully downed them, he turned his attention to the eaves of the house and treated those, knocking down many paper wasp nests in the process. He even treated the awning and bumper of my trailer, which had also become a home for these (insert expletive here)!
Once the chemical had a chance to dry I went out to inspect the work and noticed several areas he had missed around the house and also found the massive nest still on the wall in the shed, so I shot Matt a text and he responded first thing and came back out the next morning to review and address the areas that were missed.
He apologized for what was missed and shared that this was a perfect training moment to discuss with his team. As a customer, that's EXACTLY what I want to hear. It acknowledges what wasn't right while showing care and regard for the team. As a result, I told Matt that I truly was happy with my interaction with Manny, I just think he went through quickly, which I attribute to the adrenaline that must've been coursing through his veins after that encounter!
Matt also shared that the nest was left because it would've had live yellow jackets within it for sometime after the treatment and they want to allow the foraging insects to return and contact the chemical to kill them off as well. He added that I should've been told that I could safely remove it in after a few days.
On the return visit, he was happy to remove it , and per my request, did so leaving it intact so we could see inside! Photos attached.
The fact my issue was handled Some service pros would've been mad hearing the feedback I shared but Matt was a consummate professional and for that reason I'm excited to know this company and refer them around.
They also are certified arborists and can help with trees and related pests too!
