I would be shown the exercise and then left to do it on my own while they were off helping other clients in between. I had no idea if I was doing the exercises properly. So when a friend suggested that I give North Valley PT a try - I decided to do just that. I am so happy that I took a chance because everyone at the clinic are very experienced, knowledgeable, kind, patient and helpful! They only have Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants working with the clients. They are hands on and it's very personalized care. I love that the office is small - yet they have all the equipment needed to provide quality care and teach the exercises needed for everyone. Jenny who works at the front desk was so helpful and friendly when I first came in. She took the time to answer my questions and made sure that my insurance was accepted there. Aiden also works the front desk and he is equally as nice! Carla & Julia are amazing! Carla is the owner and makes you feel welcome right from the start. She's efficient, kind, and always on top of scheduling, insurance, and any questions I had. Her professionalism made a big difference during a long course of treatment. I'm especially grateful to Corey and Ashley for helping me get back to a better place physically. My herniated disc and sciatica have improved a lot, and I learned exercises and habits I'll continue using. That said, I do recommend requesting one of the female therapists if you can. I found them to be warmer and more engaged, while some of the male therapists weren't as friendly or welcoming when I came in multiple times a week. It was really off-putting when I would come in and make eye contact with some of the male therapists and they would not even say hello, they acted very arrogant and would it hurt to say a simple hello or a nod. A couple of downsides: the facility feels a bit outdated, and cleanliness could be better some chairs, therapy beds, and floor area were dusty. I would be on the carpet and I could see all the dust it was really gross. They need to do better! I also wish the therapists spent more than about 15 minutes with patients before handing off to aides, who didn't always seem fully confident with the exercises. Even with those concerns, I'm thankful for the progress I made here and for the staff who genuinely cared about my recovery.

During my father's…read morestay, we experienced several serious issues that raised major concerns about both safety and overall quality of care. There was an AC intake connected outside of his room that pulled in cigarette smoke from a not designated outdoor smoking area. No patient--especially someone in a vulnerable condition--should be exposed to that. We reported this several times. More concerning, my father fell out of bed and had to call me himself. I then had to contact the facility to notify them, even though he was under their direct care at the time. This happened more than once. That level of oversight is unacceptable and deeply troubling. I was on FaceTime with him a handful of times and overhead the lack of bedside care from the staff. Walking through the facility, it's clear there are too many patients and not enough staff to properly care for them. The environment reflects that imbalance. If I could do it over again, I would have taken my family member out of state before choosing this place. I strongly encourage others to read reviews across multiple platforms before making a decision. It's unfortunate that this is considered a rehabilitation or medical facility. Patients and families deserve far better.
