I am beyond thrilled to have found this hidden gem of a Physical Therapy office so close to home!…read more Over the past several decades I have gone to a handful of chain/corporate owned Physical Therapy offices which I never quite felt confident going to because I would initially be seen by a Physical Therapist & then be passed on to a PT Aide that didn't really have any formal training other than hands on in the clinic. I would be shown the exercise and then left to do it on my own while they were off helping other clients in between. I had no idea if I was doing the exercises properly. So when a friend suggested that I give North Valley PT a try - I decided to do just that. I am so happy that I took a chance because everyone at the clinic are very experienced, knowledgeable, kind, patient and helpful! They only have Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants working with the clients. They are hands on and it's very personalized care. I love that the office is small - yet they have all the equipment needed to provide quality care and teach the exercises needed for everyone. Jenny who works at the front desk was so helpful and friendly when I first came in. She took the time to answer my questions and made sure that my insurance was accepted there. Aiden also works the front desk and he is equally as nice! Carla & Julia are amazing! Carla is the owner and makes you feel welcome right from the start. I've been working with Julia and she is very patient with me and wants to make sure I do well with my exercise program. I highly recommend anyone in need of PT services to give them a try.

She's efficient, kind, and always on top of scheduling, insurance, and any questions I had. Her professionalism made a big difference during a long course of treatment. I'm especially grateful to Corey and Ashley for helping me get back to a better place physically. My herniated disc and sciatica have improved a lot, and I learned exercises and habits I'll continue using. That said, I do recommend requesting one of the female therapists if you can. I found them to be warmer and more engaged, while some of the male therapists weren't as friendly or welcoming when I came in multiple times a week. It was really off-putting when I would come in and make eye contact with some of the male therapists and they would not even say hello, they acted very arrogant and would it hurt to say a simple hello or a nod. A couple of downsides: the facility feels a bit outdated, and cleanliness could be better some chairs, therapy beds, and floor area were dusty. I would be on the carpet and I could see all the dust it was really gross. They need to do better! I also wish the therapists spent more than about 15 minutes with patients before handing off to aides, who didn't always seem fully confident with the exercises. Even with those concerns, I'm thankful for the progress I made here and for the staff who genuinely cared about my recovery.

Each time I have been a patient at PT West, my specific conditions have been assessed brilliantly, and personalized treatment plans have been created for each situation. I was originally referred to PT West by a family friend when I was looking for a new clinic. It is always great to have a personal referrence. Lucky for me, the location is very close to where I live, and I'm so glad that I found it. The first time that I was a patient, I had been given a particular diagnosis after an MRI. I was dealing with bad pain and came to PT West for several weeks without much improvement. I was doing everything that I was told to do, but there was no improvement. Well, my great physical therapist thought that maybe my diagnosis wasn't the cause of the issue after working with me, and it was suggested getting a second opinion. Well...I did that and it ended up leading me down the correct path that was needed! After two surgeries, I have been coming to PT West for PT, and everyone at the clinic is great! I love everyone at the front desk...they are super helpful and kind. Big shout outs to Abby and Darlene! My amazing therapist is Jiggs, and he is someone that I have gotten to know well over the years. He is a top-notch professional and I trust him implicitly. The PT Aides are super helpful, and I truly love each one! In addition to the great treatment that patients receive, I have to shout out one other thing. Parking is validated in a covered parking structure. So many healthcare providers no longer provide parking, so this perk is one that I love. I couldn't have picked a better facility to rehab my knee! No doubt it's a busy location, but I never waited more than 5 minutes for the call to start the session. It's a friendly, professional environment, one that's conducive to social interaction with the aides who set up the exercise routines at every visit (Mark, 'D', Gabriel, Jonathan, Gabby, Lindsay, David and Chance) and the PT assistants (Mike and Justin) who helped me take my mind off the 'discomfort' associated with the stretching and massaging to break up scar tissue to insure a successful outcome to all the hard work. Gene, the head physical therapist, guided me through the steps at the clinic and especially at home to set me on the path to resume the physical activities I'd been doing prior to the surgery.
