Thankfully it is a small airport and not very busy like Newark or O'Hare. Seems like the X-ray machine they use locks up on occasions. Plus it does not prioritize who ever is dropping off their bags at the closest station to the machine. This last time I watched the bags of the person two spots behind me get scanned before my first bag did and then the guy ended up still waiting longer than me on the other side. This makes zero sense and forces a lot of people to wait for that last bin with their stuff to come thru. The few tsa agents I interacted with were friendly and they get a separate 5 STAR rating from me.

This place is one our kiddos would not stop talking about...especially because they have "tunnels" in almost every cabin! These tunnels are legit, too! They take you from the first floor to 2nd floor lofts, along a sturdy and architecturally sound structure that is well-built and carpeted for a clean path that leads to the 2nd floor and has lookout windows along the way. The tunnels are also lit. Wow, my kiddos were in for a big surprise when the owner said, "Enjoy it! Maybe you'll see a tunnel or two you can crawl through." We kind of thought he was joking in the beginning, and then we walked into the cabin. Wow! These are architecturally sound and so much fun for active kiddos! Aside from the tunnels, the granite kitchen counters and wood floors and nice amenities made this place somewhere we will stay again! Not shown is the bathroom with marble Shower in Juniper (that is handicap accessible), an upstairs loft with 2-double beds and downstairs bar eating area. It is absolutely lovely and clean! The Juniper and Mesquite cabins have a picturesque front porch that opens to the Canyon area and has views of aoudad sheep! Also, they have corn hole games and tic-tac-toe along with other fun games on property! Each unit comes with a grill or has access to one. I cannot recommend this location enough!

The staff, cleaning crew and groundskeepers are going the extra mile. The man in the visitor center was welcoming and eager to help us. The center has free wifi. We were pulling a camper and took advantage of their free overnight parking for this leg of our travels. Bathrooms are available 24/7 too! The overnight parking area is well lit and has security.If you only need some sleep for the next travel day this place is perfect! Fun stop of kids too. The cabins i…read morebelieve are relatively new & they have full kitchens, full size refrigerators, 2 TV's, a small loft for the kids, large decks & a pull out sofa sleeper as well as a free shuttle service to the Big Texan Steakhouse on the hour starting at 4pm. Our Cabin had a great view of the Slug Bug Ranch right outside our rear windows which was an added bonus. The staff was quite friendly & the manager even gave us a tour of one of the Chuckwagons for rent for our next stay. All in all we couldn't have been happier with our 2 night stay & I guarantee next time we find ourselves in Amarillo we will gladly book the Chuckwagon or the Cabins again!

The pull through spots are spacious It would be a fantastic place to take littles! Tons of things for them to do! Playground, bounce pad & indoor pool! We stayed in our rv but you can rent cabins or even stay in a covered wagon! They had patios with seating & hammocks too! Very nearby is the "Bug Ranch" where you can spray paint VWs and a variety of other things. Across the street is another activity park. We did not go but looked fun. They also have 3 dog parks. It might've been a fluke but one had several messes that were not cleaned. Could've been a visitor but that's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. Forgot to add...free shuttle to the Big Texas! We will stop again I'm sure!!
