NO COMPARISON-Better than AAA! They get 10 STARS! I've paid an annual AAA membership for 20 yrs. Yesterday AAA told me they cannot tow my car to the auto repair shop because I don't have new tags. I informed them I can't have it smogged to get new tags until it is repaired so I can drive it! The representative was not helpful, didn't offer an explanation nor answer my questions regarding the reason. The owner of the auto repair shop recommended Rapid Road Service. From the first point of contact Naveed (owner of Rapid Road Service) was extremely helpful and accommodating. He wasn't able to make it himself as planned and contacted me immediately to ask if it was okay with me he could have his nephew Johnnie pick up my car in 20 min. BOOM - done. Johnnie handled loading my car with great care (as if it was his own). I could tell he was an experienced expert and this was extremely important to me with my sportscar. I didn't have to advise him which direction to load and take caution of low end in unloading - he had it! Beautiful! These guys are the best! I had to tow a Jeep with a flat tire and whose lug nut was impossible to remove. Dave offered up several options, including a recommendation to a tire shop that could remove it for me. We scheduled the tow the next morning and Roz showed up early (texting ahead of time), towed the Jeep to the tire shop, Super Tires on MLK Drive (they were great as well), and then to my house. sucks...I just got my car fixed from an accident and when I left the parking lot, my car wanted to act up and not accelerate. I could no longer drive it anymore. I left it on the side of the road. My dad was frustrated and didn't want to help me at the time so I just left it there. I hung up, i said bye of course. No point in speaking to someone when he's going to be rude about it. I might as well hang up and say nothing at all. My mom and sister came to pick me up, fortunate for me that they didn't leave the house yet. My dad finally called me back and told me that his friend is going to take the car in for service. Great, the only problem is, how are we going to get it there? I used yelp of course, and I noticed that Rapid Road Service had a perfect review. So I called them. I forgot who I spoke with, but he was friendly and I had a good conversation with him. I know it was last minute but I told him where my car was and what time it had to be at the shop by before they closed and he said they would get it done. I had to meet the tow truck at my cars location to give him the car keys. No problem. The tow trucked arrived before the shop closed to pick up my car and delivered it to its location with no problems. Cash is better for payment. I would recommend this place to everyone. My car broke down in the middle of a rainstorm. For various reasons I couldn't get it towed immediately. I called a number of places to ask for a price, but Rapid Road Service was hands down the cheapest. I spoke with Naveed on the phone and he gave me a quote, but told me if I waited much longer it would be more expensive. When I called back 30 minutes later, there were no drivers available. After getting quotes for $100 because it was "night time" rate, I decided to wait til the next morning. He texted me the next morning to see if I needed a tow still. Today I discovered that my car's battery had been drained after a cabin light was left on, so I just needed a jump-start. A true example of a "Knight in Shining Amour"! I had an unfortunate malfunction with my car today and called EVERY single tow company listed on Yelp in my area. I had a great experience with Naveed today. I was calling aound for an estimate and this one was LESS THAN HALF the price of my first estimate. He was very busy today, so he only charged me a flat rate due to the wait, and was very nice to talk to. I called unprepared, not even knowing the addresses of the garages I was transferring my car between, and he didn't make me feel bad about it all.
