I'm going to be honest, I should have known right then things wouldn't go well because the tow driver who called was asking me "what's actually wrong?" with a tone that implied he thought I was being dramatic. I explain my situation (something wrong with the transmission) and he just says he'll be there in 20 minutes. 5 minutes later I get an update it'll be another 30 minutes. Sucks but whatever. 30 minutes go by and still no tow. I wait another 5 just in case then call dispatch. "Oh, he's 10 minutes away!" Again, fine. But I wait 15 minutes and still no tow. At this point I call my insurance and they contact dispatch. "She *assured* me he's 10 minutes away!" Yeah, they said that 15 minutes ago too. Finally, after putting in the request nearly 3 hours before, the tow shows up. He loads my car up and takes me to the shop but when I try to tell him he's taking me to a public paid lot and not the night drop off for the shop he ignores me, unloads my car into a space, and drives off. I had to pay for the parking overnight so the city wouldn't tow my car to whatever impound lot AND was left stranded in downtown without a working car. Do with that information what you will but I will be contacting my insurance today to let them know they shouldn't ever contract with them again.
