So great to be able to quickly unload ewaste and be thanked for the donations/recycling. I'm sick of BestBuy's attitude when trying to recycle there--never again. Target is another place that does free ewaste recycling, but I usually have a whole lot because I'm a Professional Organizer who purges people's stuff--and people tend to have a LOT of old phones/computers/hard drives/cords. So just do yourself a favor and make this your one stop shop and receive thanks instead of headache/rude ppl at BestBuy. read more

We had some old TVs and a printer that have been collecting dust in our garage for far too long. So I yelped local e waste places and this one came up 1st. I called to check that they take TVs and printers the nice lady on the phone said yes just need ID. So we loaded it in my car and drove the 3 minute drive and pulled into the parking lot where a guy came right over and started unloading the stuff, he told my husband he needed to go inside to show ID for the TVs. The entire process from home to the location and back home took 10 minutes. It was fast easy and friendly. Perfect for getting rid of stuff that's just sitting around. read more

Had a 27 inch television that weighed a ton. Pulled into the lot and was greeted by a few workers . One came out and I asked if he needed help with this behemoth of a set and he said " no problem" reached in and lifted it out. Being he was older than me, I was impressed!!!! All I had to do is show my drivers license they wrote down the info and I was done. In and out in 10 minutes. And it was free!!!! Nice to see good customer service for a change :). Thanks read more

Quick and easy recycling of all things electronic. I was in and out in 5 minutes. It would have been quicker but they needed to fill out information from your CA drivers license when recycling TVs and computer equipment. They even take the stuff out of your car for you. read more

Dropped off a minivan's load of projection tv, computer monitors, vacuum, lamp, etc. The staff unloaded it for us and took our $20 in payment for the tv (would've been $105 to pick up from home). I needed to show ID for dropping off the items with screens. read more

What a breeze! We're doing major house cleaning and I had a lot of old computers and parts and remotes for VCRs I no longer have. I also had a lot of cardboard boxes that parts come in as well as some old magazines and piles of papers. Add a couple old CRT monitors, some old cell phones, a couple broken PDAs and toner cartridges and the SUV was full! Drove to Rapid Recycle and the friendly folks helped me unload, dumped my bins of paper and cardboard returned my bins and said, "Have a nice day" They asked for no money, no proof of county residency (like the landfill does.) I'm not sure how the other reviewer got charged $14 since Rapid Recycle didn't ask for anything from me that would let them charge me. read more

I dropped-off printers, monitors, a ten-key, and a box of old land-line phones. As others have said, they unloaded them from my car, and there was no charge. I'm glad to have found this business and will be taking more in the future. read more

This place used to be a place to get good deals on used computers and misc consumer electronics but lately they are gouging the customers and asking nearly full retail price. Keep in mind the owner gets the e-waste for free or he charges a disposal fee anywhere from $10-50 per item. Then they turn around and sells it for high prices. He posts the merchandise on craigslist and so I am not sure why they even have a retail store for people to come to anymore. Caveat Emptor - buyer beware, they will sell you anything even knowing it is broken without warning you. I almost bought a large used appliance there, as I was loading it to my car, I found it had major damages inside the lid. They sales guy had a guilty look in his eyes because he knew that it was broken before he took my money. Buyer Beware! Also, be sure to ask prices before hand, as they will throw a hard bargain at you and try and pressure you to hurry up and hand over the money. Not sure if its the e-waste toxins or just work stress, but they tend to have an unfriendly attitude there as well. Warning, very moody and testy people working there. One minute nice, next minute upset. Also, they act like everyone that walks in is trying to steal something, when in reality it is the other way around. read more

I had to take my company's truck, which I wasn't comfortable with, and another employee even took the time to help me back it up because I was having trouble. In response to the person who said that Rapid Recycle charges 20¢ a pound to recycle: at least as of 1/23/2010 Rapid Recycle doesn't charge to take a lot of e-waste types, but they do charge for certain appliances, such as microwaves and refrigerators. In fact, I can't remember ever being charged for electronics that weren't appliances. Check their website to see if they're charging for your item. read more

I am very pleased with the service I got today when I dropped off my old and very heavy TV. Two guys were out unloading it from my car within a matter of seconds. Everyone was courteous and pleasant. I was happy to find a convenient place that would take the TV for free with no hassles. They gave me a list of all the stuff they'll take, so I will definitely be back!! read more

Absolutely wonderful to work with, they have done an excellent job of meeting our e-waste needs. When the office we had just moved into made it very difficult to get their people in to remove our old equipment, they patiently filled out the paperwork and even rescheduled so the building manager (who incidently was out of the office that day) could approve their entering. Very happy to find a place that will take small electronics with NO charge. Staff is very helpful and they came out to greet me and take my stuff as I was getting out of my car. Folks at the Hazardous Waste disposal told me about Rapid Recycle. Easy to find as it is on Pacheco Blvd- not far from Sun Valley Mall. Rapid Recycle is the BEST! I came by after having dropped off some stuff at the Hazardous recycle on Imhoff, which would not take my electronic recycling. Immediately one of the workers came up to me and helped me by dumping my tote of electronic recyclables. Great attitude. Just needed to give them my zip code. Rapid Recycle really came through for the Lafayette Parks, Trails and Recreation Department. We needed to have heavy debris removed from a mile of creek. Access was difficult and the creek banks are full of poison oak, blackberry vines and stinging nettle. The crew was curteous, hard-working and knowledgable.They also responded quickly and removed the debris before a big storm arrived and made the creek inaccessible. We will definitely use Rapid Recycle again. read more
