They were able to replace my glass quickly taking my car on a Sunday getting it back the next day which was nice. Upon getting my car on Monday I noticed that my cars interior rear panel was put on poorly while looking in the rear view mirror. When asked about it, the tech gave it a good ole' slap and told me that it's just like that despite the opposite side not looking like that. I can also hear a bit of left over glass rattling. Another issue was the trunk fender. In the past, I know that some of the adhesive wasn't sticking which let it wobble a tiny bit. When I got the car back, I noticed that it was pretty much coming off. Looking at it closer, a peg had been snapped off and the other one was not latching on allowing the fender to almost dangle. When I asked the tech about it, I was told that it was most likely due to body work done on it by someone else (it hasn't been worked on) and when I had asked him if he had to remove the fender to replace the glass he said yes. He told me that the last person to work on it broke a couple things. He slapped some tape on it to fix it. My trunk was also staying jammed shut and he told me "that just happens" I've had the car for a couple years now and not once have I ever noticed any cosmetic issues nor the trunk being unable to open. read more

My back glass was smashed on a Friday evening just a few days before Christmas. Not wanting the plastic bag solution for a week, I endeavoured to get it fixed ASAP. It was difficult to find ANY auto glass shop open on a Saturday. I called Rapid and was told they can get the glass and get the car in that same day. They also offered to come pick up my car and leave a loaner if I wanted. I brought the car in and on arrival I was warned that it may not be completed that same Saturday but definitely on Monday. Not a big deal either way as they offer free loaner cars. I took the loaner home and got a call just a couple hours later saying it was all done. They also directed me to a tinting company they work with to have the tint replaced. Excellent service! read more

Our rear passenger window was smashed and this was the First place we found. It ended up being the best thing we could have done. It was amazing service. It was too late in the day to get the work done on the spot, so they came down with a courtesy car and took ours overnight to do the work. They dropped off the finished car and swapped out back out all finished. Everyone was so nice and friendly and service was great. Fantastic service. Highly recommend this company. This business is doing it right! If anyone needs their auto glass replaced I highly recommend using this business. Our back window was smashed and we called the police and ICBC first thing. They took our information and then gave us a list of options for getting it repaired at one of their partner glass businesses. This one had the best reviews so we called. They came out to us immediately with a replacement vehicle for us, took our vehicle with them, and had it back to us by the end of the day! TOTALLY AMAZING SERVICE! The owner is a great guy who knows what customers want and need and he delivers! They charge right to ICBC for the non-deductible portion. Totally painless, and more so it was an enjoyable experience. I really can't recommend them enough. Try them out. You won't regret it! read more

On the day befor the Vancouver Gran Fondo on Sept. 10, 2022, we needed our rear roof glass replaced on our Tesla Model 3. Tesla was virtually impossible to contact by phone. It's quicker to drive to a Tesla Service Centre than to phone them. The earliest appointment our Tesla app could give us was 2 weeks later. Not good since we were travelling home to Niagara in 3 days. Lawrence from Rapid Auto Glass knew what to do. I bought my own replacement glass from Tesla and Lawrence picked it up and even gave us a loaner vehicle so we could get back from Whistler after the Fondo. Our glass was fixed and Lawrence even put our car on his shop's Tesla charger. We were able to leave for home on time. This company has great service figured out. read more

They seemed great at the start. I guess anything to get people to go to them instead of the other glass places, right?? It all started when they completely underquoted me the cost for a new windshield, without bothering to check my insurance coverage or anything. When I went to pick up my vehicle they charged me $300 more than they quoted me! And refused to compensate me at all for the lie, the miscommunication, and now the frustration! They also state a bunch of extras they do on their website; free wiper blades, clean the interior, coupon for glass repair, etc. NONE OF THAT WAS ACTUALLY DONE!!! They hardly even vacuumed the carpets... On top of this they misplaced their copies of my insurance papers and insisted they never took a copy!! Sloppy work and, again, lying to the customer! Even the manager is unhelpful. Hardly seems to really care about the customer once the work is done. Tacky! Please use another auto glass repair shop!! I know I will be! read more

Ladies (and Gents) This is the place to go when you need a new windshield or some type of window repair for your car...and you don't want to get ripped off or feel talked down to like a 3 year old. Rapid Auto Glass is tucked away at the very end of Tupper Ave in Coquitlam. It's next to Coquitlam ICBC and more importantly, less than two blocks from Ikea Coquitlam. Rapid Auto Glass bills itself as your "one-stop shop for all your glass needs, from cars to big rigs, motor homes, boats, cabinets, sealed glass, and custom mirrors". I haven't tried them for those other services, but here's what I know: I've taken 4 different cars into this store in the last 8 years and they have ALWAYS provided great service. I've sent many friends and family to them and everyone has been treated with the same upstanding customer service and courtesy. I've usually had a wait time of anywhere from 30 mins to 1.5 hour for services ranging from filling small cracks in the windshield to a complete replacement of one. They vacuum your car when they are done and in the case of the full windshield replacement (twice I've had this done) the interior was fully steam cleaned - no extra charge! Talk about CLEAN! If you can, I do recommend calling in advance to book an appointment - they are well known and it looks like they do quite a bit of business. If you can't, like I said earlier, Ikea is just down the block :) They are open Mon- Fri 8am - 5:30pm, Saturday 9am-3pm. They are closed on Sundays, but if you call, someone does pick up!! (Guess it's routed to the bosses cell phone). JUST GO! If you want a good experience with great service with no bull and you car comes out looking brand new, this is where you want to go. read more

The rock chip in my windshield turned into a crack. So before the problem gets bigger, I googled several windshield repair places. I saw the good reviews on yelp and google so I thought I'd give it a try. Them having a courtesy car also helped make me choose this company. I made an appointment and good thing they have my windshield in stock. I got there in the morning and the receptionist was friendly and helped explain things. They will take care of the ICBC claim and paperwork. Since they found out I have Road Star, they said to just rent a car at Hertz (instead of using their courtesy car) so they drove me to Hertz which was nearby. So far, so good. Afternoon came and I got a call saying my car is ready for pick up. When I got there, car was still not ready. They had to remove some tape and car was not washed at all despite what they said in their website ("each windshield replacement receives a complimentary interior cleaning") . On top of that, I've got oil smudges all over the car and black smears in my interior. The owner wiped these but it's not completely clean. I can understand that if the car is not ready, it's not ready. Take your time and do a good and thorough job. But do not call your customer to say car is ready but it's not ready to go. I was in a hurry that day so I was not able to carefully check everything. Needless to say, I would think twice before coming back. I think I'll get better service at the dealership. Whether I come here or to the dealership, my cost (deductible) is the same. I really wanted to support small local businesses, but I was not happy with the service overall. read more

I can't say enough about the way I was treated here. I showed up with my car to have it fixed, they were so great, they waited for my claim to go through with ICBC (10 minutes tops) and then they drove me up to hertz to get a rental. I had to be out of town before I could pick up my car again and they understood and I was able to keep the rental an extra day. I got my car back cleaner than I had left it. Every single member of the team was amazing to work with. The only thing I would change is I would wait until I need to rent a larger vehicle, then change the glass in my car so I can get the rental for free. What a great service they offer. Quick service, a great welcome and excellent work. I can't ask for anything more. I had the great luck of getting a rock chip on the highway, so I looked up glass shops nearby. After calling a few and getting outrageous quotes I turned to yelp. That where I found Rapid. I called them at 9pm on a Monday night and spoke to Lauren - he gave me a great quote for my chip repair and welcomed me in the next morning. More than what I was expecting (the usual voice mail with a request to call during 'regular business hours'). I was in and out of their shop in less than 15 minutes. Had to take our mazda last year because of faulty manufacturing mistake. Auto sensor for wiper wouldn't work. These guys are just after the money!!! First when I called to see if they could fix my broken rear window they said sure we will pick up your in one hour the three hours later I call and they say one hour. So after about six hours of waiting they finally showed up. There goes my day. Then when they drop it off there is glass left in the car on a leather interior. And on top of it the aluminum frame around the window is bent up and they say it is fixed as far as we are concerned. So I am told to sign there form that it is fixed before I can have my car back. I sign it but add that it still needs to be fixed ( the frame is bent) Now today there guy calls me on the phone and starts bitching at me for writing on his form. Like I had done the unthinkable. Really? This is how you treat your customers? I did not complain about all the stuff that happened along the way but that it!! I will be complaining to ICBC and the kind of people that are working for them. I will not use these guys ever again! Very bad customer service. Don't trust these guys read more

Wow!! What service... super HAPPY! Had my window smashed in and my purse stolen the day before. I was extremely upset. I needed my window replaced asap ... originally phoned Speedy Glass and they said it would take a week and just to tape it up. After attempting other places, I lucked out and called RAPID AUTO GLASS in Coquitlam. Lawrence answered the phone, I explained what happened, they got me in immediately, offered a courtesy car ( didn't need one), they had the job done in less than two hours. I've used rapid auto glass twice. The quality of workmanship is acceptable, and the customer service was fine as well. They're not a bad company, but they're scoring below average in my books because of their failure to accept responsibility for their mistake, and for failing to make good on it when giving the opportunity. Being politely told no, we won't honour something we did wrong or being told to piss off is still the same result. I had a piece of trim come loose and fly off my truck on the hiway. I brought the truck in to show them and as I said they told me to take it up with icbc as that part is unrelated to the windshield. As a stay at home father of a 3month old, this is neither convenient nor is it how I prefer to spend my day. They compared my roof trim piece failure to a tire blowout. Neither could be caused by the windshield replacement. Long story short. Icbc couldn't tell conclusively. They offered to escalate this to a senior examiner but first wanted to try to mediate an amicable resolution. I have no time for this so they got me the piece at cost which i paid for. rapid installed it in 2 minutes. Job done right? Well I took a look afterwards and low and behold the roof trim is not tucked underneath the windshield trim as it is supposed to be. Air would have caught underneath it and ripped it right back off again If I hadn't checked and fixed it. So it looks pretty conclusive to me. I should not have had to spend my day arguing and going to icbc and I certainly shouldn't have paid over $110 out of my own pocket. This is my experience. I'm not saying it would have ended differently at a competitors shop, but they had the opportunity to shine here, and this is how they chose to handle it. I'm moving on now, I won't be back to them, and as such, I don't recommend you use them either. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the length of time it took to get my car back. They quoted 3 to 4 hours maximum. I got the car back after 7 1/2 hours. I got a rock to my windshield this summer and another one this november, since the weather was getting so cold I decided I had to replace it and called these guys for a quote. My ICBC deductible was $300 but Rapid glass told me my cost would be only $200, then ICBC pays for the rest without increasing my premiums. They came to my office in Burnaby, picked up my car, drove it to their shop and did the replacement there, then they drove it back before I had to go home, just as they promised. What an awesome service, so painless and convenient! They even vacuumed my interior and put $10 gas in my tank since it was getting empty, at no extra charge! I will definitely come back to Rapid, they are very professional and pleasant to deal with. read more

Came in for a chipped windshield repair. Fast 15 minutes. They live up to their name. I would give them 5 stars if it wasn't for the front office staff. They didn't seem too appreciative for my business. Normally the mechanic is the "rough around the edges" type. This time it was the other way around. I had a bit of a unique, time sensitive situation. I called up late in the evening and Lawrence answered and took care of everything I needed. He even offered a courtesy car. I ended up dropping my truck off late in the night and they drove me home. They brought my truck back to me by the time I needed it for work the next afternoon. They also took the tint off my front windows, as I needed it off for my out of province inspection and cleaned the inside of my truck for me. From start to finish every employee I dealt with were extremely friendly and accommodating. It was an absolutely painless, smooth, and enjoyable experience. I was referred to this company by my sons fiancé. Her friend had worked for the company for several years. I didn't know customer service like this still existed in 2014! They were amazing. From the friendly and helpful receptionist to the manager I was thrilled with how I was treated. I had been delayed at work in Vancouver -- was supposed to pick up my car at five but I called at five after five saying that I would be delayed and did they want me to pick up my car the next day. The manager said don't worry - we usually close at about 530 but I will probably still be here a bit longer. I said okay I'll get out there by 545 I hope, but if I don't make it I'll get my car the next day. He said no don't worry I'll be here until you get here and I said really that's terrific thanks so much. Then he said just call us when you get to the Braid skytrain station and I'll pick you up. Really!? I called when I got to Braid and he picked me up and then as I was taking care of my bill I mentioned that I had been wishing that someone had put out my front windshield because it was already scratched due to crooked windshield wipers. He said well the wipers should've been taken care of but I'll go out and have a look at it. I thought he was talking about the back wiper and was going to give me an estimate on new front wipers but he went right to the front windshield he said yeah that's changed and I said they CHANGED the front wipers when it was my back window that was broken ?! He said oh we like to go above and beyond for our customers. Not to mention the clean interior No kidding they go above and beyond. I was impressed and pleased and would go back in a minute, recommend them to everyone and have taken the time to write this review because they deserve it. read more

AMAZING SERVICE for both times that I've gotten the car serviced. The first time was last week when my car got broken into and my laptop was taken during the night. :( I was so shaken up but I knew that I had to do something fast rather than driving around with a broken window. I was canvassing several shops around my area and all of them quoted me upwards of $800 for a passenger window. My friend gave me their number and I called them immediately. I thought I would have to wait days for an appointment. I got to talk to Lawrence, he quoted me a very affordable price and he was able to schedule me just past noon that very same day! They gave me home service - meaning I did not have to drive my car far with a hole in the window. And they were done in just under an hour! It was amazing! The next one was to repair a long crack on the windshield. They also quoted me a good price and was able to get serviced on the same day I called them. BEST VALUE FOR MONEY! Incredible service! The young women who answered my call was knowledgeable, helpful, and sympathetic (my car had been vandalized). The repair to the window was quick and efficient -- and IKEA is close by so waiting for an hour to get the repairs done wasn't a chore. Best of all, they did am amazing job on cleaning the interior of the car. It's an older car and a lot of grit had accumlated around the gear box etc. I hadn't been able to remove it, but when they were done with the car the interior looked like new. Clean office, The staff were super friendly, efficient, and helpful. Gave me a Beetle courtesy car no charge so that I could leave my car over night and pick it up in the morning. Very very dissatisfied with Rapid Autoglass. The reason I decided to go there was because they offer a courtesy car, interior shampoo and replacement blades. I got there and there was no courtesy car, the reason they said was that because my windshield replacement was an Insurance claim, I would have to go to Hertz for a rental car. They told me it would be 2-3 hours, they called over 4 hours later and told me to come, I asked if they would pick me up at Hertz, and they said to bring the rental car to them and they would return it for me. I took the car back myself, since it was under my insurance, and I wasn't comfortable leaving the car for "someone" to return for me. They did not shampoo my interior, nor did they put the new wipers on my car. I ended up sending an email to the manager to bring up these issues, and I waited 5 business days, so I emailed again, and finally got a very rude response. He told me that a different client did not want shampoo, and they thought it was my vehicle. He also said that there were no courtesy cars available, as other customers from the previous day did not return them (but there were 3 cars on their lot) He addressed the windshield wipers, and told me "most people are grateful for the new wipers, but if I want to come back they will put them in.". Very poor customer service in every way....I would not recommend them to anyone, and will never go back! read more
